Simon also supporter of Missing People 'charity'.
Simon paid bail money for paedophile Jonathan King and was also close friend of convicted sex offender Max Clifford who was also his agent.
A you tube video is in existence where child abuse survivor and campaigner Bill Maloney confronts Max outside court and mentions Simon's name.
Simon is close friend of Philip Green.

I looked at your post and I wondered if there really was enough information there for us to be able to designate Simon Cowell a 'rogue'.
Then I considered that he was a big supporter of one rogue, Jonathan King.
Then I saw that he was a close associate and client of convicted sex offender, Max Clifford.
Finally you said he was 'a close friend' of one of the nation's mega-rogues, Philip, whoops SIR Philip Green.
And then the phrase: 'birds of a feather flock together' sprang to my mind.
And then I realised that, yes, he probably is a rogue as well

Dr Martin Roberts: "The evidence is that these are the pjyamas Madeleine wore on holiday in Praia da Luz. They were photographed and the photo handed to a press agency, who released it on 8 May, as the search for Madeleine continued. The McCanns held up these same pyjamas at two press conferences on 5 & 7June 2007. How could Madeleine have been abducted?"
Amelie McCann (aged 2): "Maddie's jammies!".

It is very specific. Wonder if this is really the child's last resting place.
I've seen "dogs don't lie" quite a lot when reading about this case - how about "google doesn't lie". As, we usually find what we're looking for when we google for information.
Can I respectfully ask that you find an appropriate niche for your obsession and stop derailing every current thread. Thanks!

Francisco Marco
Francisco Marco was appointed in September 2007, or possibly earlier, by the McCanns and their advisers, to head their much-vaunted ‘search for Madeleine’. He was the boss of the disreputable downtown Barcelona detective agency, Metodo 3. The agency had been in constant trouble with the authorities, having been caught up in a telephone tapping scandal in the 1990s, when all their top staff were arrested. During the period leading up to Christmas 2007, his staff did not look for Madeleine. They were busy promoting fake sightings to keep up the pretence that Madeleine was abducted. In the lead-up to Christmas, he was exposed as a serial, and practiced liar. He said he knew Madeleine was alive. He maintained his men ‘knew where she was being held’. He claimed his men were ‘closing in on the kidnappers’, and finally promised that ‘Maddie will be home by Christmas’. These were all outright lies.

DCI Andy Redwood
When Prime Minister David Cameron set up Operation Grange, under heavy persuasion by Rebekah Brooks - former Chief Executive Officer of Rupert Murdoch’s News International empire – many people thought it was a genuine investigation that would really find out what really happened to Madeleine McCann. Set up on 12 May 2011, it soon appointed Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood as its lead investigator. But months later, we learnt that Operation Grange’s remit was strictly limited to ‘investigating the abduction’. That meant that the many suspicions about the parents’ possible involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance would not be investigated at all. Redwood was the man who accepted this poisoned chalice and deserves all the contempt we can offer him for accepting a job which he knew meant sweeping all the incriminating evidence against the McCanns under the carpet. After a series of meaningless, scripted, wooden TV performances, he showed his true colours in the BBC Crimewatch show of 14 October 2013, when he offered the 7 million viewers two images of quite different-looking men and said ‘Please look for this man’. Which one? These images were drawn up by Henri Exton, the former Head of Covert Intelligence for MI5, who was employed by the McCanns. In addition, he convinced no-one on the same show by pretending that he had ‘found’ the man seen six years before by Jane Tanner on the night Madeleine was reported missing. Let us hope he spends the rest of his days happy with his promotion and bulging pension pit that he acquired when he left the Met Police a year later.

Justine McGuinness
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Justine McGuinness a long term political dabbling ducky for the Lib Dems; former media spokesperson for Messrs McCann following in the wake of the UK government Media Monitoring Units chief manipulator - Clarence Mitchell. She left the McCanns employ under a cloud in September 2007
Later to be appointed as chief spin-doctor for the notorious Westminster speaker of the house, John Bercow, reportedly on a freelance basis for an undisclosed salary - she resigned (?) this position after only a matter of months because she couldn't control her mouth - par for the course with spindoctors it would appear.
This is what Justine McGuinness had to say for herself in her rogatory interiew May 2008..
I am the person mentioned above and I live at the address previously supplied to the Leicestershire police. I was questioned about my association with Gerry and Kate McCann and about my visit to Portugal in the summer of 2007, after the disappearance of their daughter, Madeleine McCann.
I am the owner of a Public Business Consultancy company. During the end of the month of May, beginning of June I was contacted by recruitment consultants who asked me whether I was interested in working for the campaign to find Madeleine McCann. This occurred after some advice given to Kate and Gerry by Alex Woolfall. Alex Woolfall is the public relations officer for Mark Warner.
I agreed to presenting my CV for the appreciation of Kate and Gerry McCann. A short time later I received a phone call from Gerry who asked me a number of questions by phone. It was almost a mini interview that included questions about me and continued to talk about the kind of support that they were looking for. Later I went for another interview in London. I was interviewed by Gerry McCann, John McCann and John [sic] Corner. On the same day I agreed to carry out my function which would be to manage the campaign to find Madeleine.
Initially I appeared in an interview with Gerry McCann for Newsnight (BBC news programme) on the same day that I took up my functions. Gerry returned to Portugal some days later, I stayed in the UK and attended meetings in the name of the Campaign. I travelled to Portugal on fiftieth day anniversary of Madeleine's disappearance, a Friday the 22nd June 2007. I stayed in an apartment in the Mark Warner complex, very close to where Kate and Gerry were staying. This was the same apartment that they were using as an office.
During my stay I would regularly meet with Gerry and Kate. I also regularly collaborated with the world press. Part of my functions was to manage the press communications in the name of Kate, Gerry and Madeleine.
My involvement in the 'Find Madeleine' campaign ended on 15 September 2007.
During my time as director of the campaign I made several trips to Portugal.
I did not know Kate and Gerry McCann before May 2007. My relationship with them was purely professional and lasted for 89 days.
I do not remember the dates of the trips but as was mentioned previously, there were several trips. I stayed in the apartment mentioned previously, as well as in another apartment in the same block. I also stayed in hotels in the area for short periods of time. I never noticed anything strange about any of the lodgings.
I spent much time with Kate and Gerry but I am unable to quantify exactly how much time. I would meet them at their apartment as well as in the private villa where they were staying.
Kate and Gerry were in a very frustrating situation, at times I could see that they were under great pressure. They managed to cope with the pressure and I credit them with behaving as true professionals would have done in an identical situation. I remember that on certain days Kate was very tearful and sad. I also remember Gerry's frustration upon seeing the presentation of some photos of Madeleine one night. [?]
I travelled as a passenger in the Renault Scenic many times, which was driven by Kate and Gerry and their family members, Sandy Cameron and Michael Wright. I cannot specify the number of times that I travelled in the vehicle.
The first time that I travelled inside the vehicle was when I arrived at Faro on the fiftieth day anniversary. At that time the car smelt exactly like what you would expect after having been cleaned by a rental car company. I never noticed unpleasant odours.
Unfortunately I cannot answer the last question because I was obviously not present from the first day they hired the car, neither during the period of the lease. Because of my knowledge of the routine and the amount of members from press that surrounded them, I think it unlikely that they could have hidden or transported Madeleine in the vehicle.

JUSTINE McGUINNESS - Former McCann spokesperson
I do know afterwards she was incredibly upset and that was the start of a very difficult period and.. you know, I really felt for them actually because they went through a very tough time.
BILTON: And by now the forensic work is shaping the case. The police doubts are more serious. On Thursday 6th September Kate McCann is dropped off in Portimão, she's been called in for questioning, her sister-in-law Trish goes to support her. Justine McGuinness, the McCann publicity manager at the time is also there.
JUSTINE McGUINNESS: I have to say I was incredibly impressed because she just held her head high and walked into the police station and just kept on going, and a lot of people wouldn't have been able to have coped going through a media mob.
BILTON: As Kate McCann sits down in the interview room she recognises one of the detectives.
SUSAN HEALY - Kate McCann's mother
They'd had a meal with this guy, with his family, and the children have played together, and she talked to me about this particular police officer as being as if he was a friend, and she felt quite comforted by having this guy who spoke English as well, and he was in the interview and he didn't make eye contact with Kate at all.
BILTON: Kate McCann is at the station for 13 hours, but from inside she and Trish text out updates. Even at this point the message is being controlled.
McGUINNESS: We were a bit naughty because we did have messages coming out of the police station which we weren't supposed to...
BILTON: How did that work.. what, the text messages?
McGUINNESS: Yeah.
BILTON: And were the texts saying? Talk us through.
McGUINNESS: Sort of updates from things that were happening.

Hardly think a link to Google maps is a "satanic obsession"?

Interesting but can't see the direct relevance. Are you going to suggest Miss McGuiness is questioned at a second Leveson inquiry, and why do you think all the details could help find Madeleine's whereabouts? I must admit I did not read it all, though.Verdi wrote:Justine McGuinness

As for the cause of death - this is unknown until a body is found - and after ten years it might be even more difficult to ascertain this, even if the body was found. Whether the cause was accidental or not cannot, similarly be ascertained.
In fact, even the cadaver dog evidence, regardless of the forensic significance, cannot be relied upon on its own, without a confession, and better still a body. Ergo, the writers on this blog have nothing but speculation and hyperbole speculation with a resultant vitriol for the McCanns. The latter translates physically as nothing more than a lynch mob, and I say this, even though the sight of their faces causes me nausea.
Good luck - you will need it for the next 10 years.

Melissa Little
Melissa Little is an artist of repute who for a part of her career worked as a ‘forensic artist’, making sketches for the police. She says she received some FBI training. In 2007 she was hired by Cheshire businessman, Brian Kennedy, who ran the McCann's private investigation. He wanted her to do a sketch of the man said to have been seen by Jane Tanner, carrying a child, the night Madeleine disappeared. She sketched a man with no face (Tanner only saw the man sideways on) and with neat, long black hair. Little was again pressed into service months later by Kennedy when the McCann Team wanted a sketch done of a bogus charity collector seen in Praia da Luz around the time of Madeleine’s disappearance. The man she sketched had long, straggly hair, a moustache and a fierce expression which led to him being called ‘Monsterman’ when the newspapers finally printed his sketch. But cunningly, in some sketches, she drew him wearing almost identical clothes to the man Jane Tanner said she had seen back on 3 May 2007. Portuguese journalist Paulo Sargento commented acidly: "We show that this photo-fit is inconsistent with the first one. Curiously it keeps the brown jacket and the dark hair”. They way Little drew her two sketches enabled Jane Tanner to take the remarkable view that she was ‘80% sure’ it was the same man she’d seen nearly a year earlier. This baffled everyone who remembered that Jane Tanner had been unable to describe the face of the man she saw the night Madeleine disappeared - for the simple reason that she’d never seen any of it. Maybe it’s a bit harsh to describe Little as a ‘rogue’. She did what she was paid to do - which in this case amounted to deceiving millions into thinking that ‘Monsterman was the very same man that Jane Tanner had seen, making him a prime suspect.

A longstanding friend of Kate McCann. Major player in the setting-up of the Find Madeleine Fund, becoming a founding trustee.
Established a career in the media, working as a presenter and producer. Later set-up her own business in Liverpool specializing in training for small and medium size businesses.
Long term supporter of the Conservative party her career progressed into the world of politics, winning a seat in the 2010 general election. Left office after defeat in the 2015 general election.
The Wirral Globe - 18th September 2007
Madeleine fund won't be used for legal fees
A PROSPECTIVE Wirral MP and trustee of the Madeleine McCann fund said that "not a penny" will be spent on Kate and Gerry McCann's legal fees.
The couple, from Rothley, Leicestershire have been named as formal suspects after their four-year-old daughter disappeared from an Algarve holiday apartment at Praia da Luz 139 days ago.
Kate and Gerry, 39 - also parents of two-year-old twins Sean and Amelie, both fiercely deny any involvement in the long-running mystery and believe they are being set up to cover up a bungled police inquiry.
This week, prospective MP Esther McVey, one of the six trustees of Madeleine's fund, met with lawyers to examine the legality of breaking into the £1m worth of public donations.
She said that the fund: Leaving No Stone Unturned was set up to find Madeleine, support the family, bring the abductor(s) to justice and subject to that, help other missing children.
But numerous angry postings from people who claim to have given donations have appeared on the internet asking if they are entitled to their money back if Madeleine's parents are prosecuted.
"Fund directors have decided not to pay for Kate and Gerry's legal defence costs," said Esther. "We stress that the family has not asked for these costs to be paid, however, people have already called in offering their financial support.
"Any such fund would have to be separately set up and administered."
She added: "At the heart of this campaign and fund is a little girl confused, lonely and in need of her parents and a family desperate for her return.
"This fund's money will be focused on finding that little girl and leaving no stone unturned."

Kevin Halligen
Probably Kevin Halligen was the biggest rogue ever employed by the McCanns, although Antonio Giminez Raso (whose place in the Rogue’s Gallery is coming up soon) runs him a close second. Halligen was employed by the Directors of Madeleine’s Fund from a date in April 2008, about three months before the Portuguese authorities decided to shelve their investigation into Madeleine’s disappearance, claiming there was insufficient evidence to charge anyone. Technically, the Directors engaged a U.S.-based company, Oakley International, which Halligen (who was spending much of his time in the U.S.) had actually founded after Madeleine McCann had been reported missing. When in August Clarence Mitchell, the McCanns’ PR spokesman, finally mentioned that the McCanns were now working with ‘Oakley International’, he boasted that these were ‘the big boys on international detection’, creating the impression that they were an experienced international private detection agency.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Oakley International was just a one-man band operation set up by Kevin Halligen. During his short, four-month reign at the helm of the McCanns’ private investigation, he employed another couple of rogues who we will meet in the coming days in ‘Rogue of the Day’:- Henri Exton and Tim Craig-Harvey.
For a detailed exposure of what Kevin Halligen actually did during his four months’ work for the McCanns, you really need to read the long article by Evening Standard investigative journalist, Mark Hollingsworth. This priceless piece of investigative journalism has been ‘whooshed’ from the internet as Halligen and his friends didn’t like it. But we’ve preserved it for you on CMOMM [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Bear in mind what you read next is that Halligen was funded by the British public. Children sent their weekly pocket money to the McCanns in the early days; some pensioners generously donated their week’s pension. Many British people raised funds for the McCanns, holding garden parties, running sponsored walks and marathons, and so on. Halligen was reported in the Hollingsworth article to have spent much of his four months in the Hey-Jo bar in London drinking whisky. He also found time to gallivant around the U.S., Britain and Italy, staying in 5-star hotels, with his then girlfriend, Shirin Trachiotis. He found no information whatsoever about what had happened to Madeleine, yet the McCanns paid him £500,000 plus expenses, reputed to be another £100,000.
Soon after Halligen was sacked by the McCann Fund Directors, after a blazing row amongst them, which was widely reported in the press, he went on the run, being wanted by the U.S. authorities for a $2 million fraud. He was eventually run to ground at the £700-a-night Bank Hotel, Oxford, in October 2009, and carted off by the police to Belmarsh top security prison in S.E London, a very good place for him to reflect on his many misdemeanours. After a long fight against extradition, which cost the British taxpayer hundreds of thousands of pounds in Legal Aid fees, the U.S. authorities eventually succeeded in making him face trial, where he was handed a 4-year jail sentence.
In her autobiography, ‘madeleine’, Kate McCann tried to explain why the McCanns employed this A1 rogue. The excuse was: “We knew nothing about private investigators…we were naïve”.
Pull the other one, Kate. It’s got bells on. Tell us the real reason you employed him.

Re: 'ROGUE OF THE DAY'
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Matt Baggott
On the day that Madeleine McCann was reported missing, Matt Baggott was the Chief Constable of Leicestershire Constabulary. A convinced Christian, he was also the President at the time of the Police Christian Fellowship.
We shall examine his record in the case very closely. These are some of the things that happened on his watch.
First of all, on Tuesday 8 May 2007, just five days after Madeleine had been reported missing, the very highest government, police and security services in the land ordered him to set up a high-level committee to deal with the Madeleine McCann case. It is known to have consisted of top representatives from government departments, other government agencies and various branches of the security services. The existence of this committee is shrouded in secrecy but got a mention at the Leveson enquiry into press standards.
In his written evidence to the Leveson enquiry, he said:
“The investigation into Madeleine McCann’s disappearance began on 3 May 2007 by the Portuguese Authorities. On 4 May 2007, Leicestershire Constabulary took up a liaison role with the Portuguese Police to assist them in their enquiries. On 8 May 2007 Leicestershire Constabulary was asked to co-ordinate the UK response to assist the Portuguese enquiry on behalf of the UK Government and Association of Chief Police Officers. The Gold Strategy set on this date established that it was a Portuguese-led enquiry and that all actions would comply with requirements of Portuguese law including their Judicial Secrecy Act.
“As a result of this strategy, apart from one press conference, which was requested by the Portuguese authorities, Leicestershire Constabulary made no comment to the media in relation to the investigation and strict information security was applied to ensure that the rights of all parties and the interests of the Portuguese Police were protected. However, Leicestershire Constabulary did respond to media enquiries over our role in the investigation in confirming details that were subject of public record. This included the number of officers in various roles and the financial cost of our involvement.
“Due to the unprecedented media interest in the UK, a co-ordination group was set up on behalf of law enforcement agencies and government departments to coordinate the media interaction and ensure that a consistent stance was taken. This co-ordinating group was chaired by the Head of Corporate Communications from Leicestershire Constabulary. That group has continued to meet as required since 2007”.
Doubtless Matt Baggott and this ‘co-ordination group’ considered the most sensitive aspects of the case. One of the first to crop up would have been the sensational evidence of two General Practitioners who were good friends of the McCanns: Dr Arul Gaspar and his wife Dr Katharine Gaspar. They had been on holiday with the McCanns in Majorca, where they encountered two incidents which suggested that Gerry McCann and his doctor friend Dr David Payne might be paedophiles.
After Madeleine McCann was reported missing, they saw Dr David Payne on TV, trailing around the village along with the McCanns. They suspected he might have something to do with Madeleine’s disappearance. They immediately arranged to make written statements to Leicestershire Police, and did so as early as 16 May 2007.
.
Just for the record, this is part of what Dr Katharine Gaspar said in her statement:
“One night, when all the adults, that is, from those couples I have mentioned above, were all sitting around on a patio outside the house where we were all staying. We had been eating and drinking ‘Berbers’. I was sitting between Gerry and Dave and I think both were talking about Madeleine. I can't remember the conversation in its entirety, but they seemed to be discussing a particular scenario. I remember Dave saying to Gerry something about ‘she’, meaning Madeleine, ‘would do this’.
“While he mentioned the word ‘this’, Dave was doing the action of sucking one of his fingers, pushing it in and out of his mouth, while with his other hand he was doing a circle around his nipple, with a circular movement around his clothes. This was done in a provocative way. There seemed to be an explicit insinuation about what he was saying and doing. I remember being shocked by that. I always felt it was something very weird and that it was not something anyone should say or do. I looked at Gerry, and also at Dave, to gauge their reactions.“I looked around as if saying: “Did someone else hear that, or was it just me?”. The conversations stopped for a moment, then we all began conversing again. Moreover, I remember Dave doing the same thing on another occasion…
“He again stuck one of his fingers in and out of his mouth and with the other hand he once again drew a circle around his nipple in a provocative and sexual way. I think he was referring to the way she, that is, his daughter Lily, would behave or what she would do. I think he did this later during this same holiday…”
Now, as the Chief Constable of Leicestershire Constabulary, he had a 100% obligation to pass this significant evidence to the Portuguese Police. He deliberately did not do so. He actually waited five whole months before doing so. This vital document, and a similar one by her husband Dr Arul Gaspar, were not sent until 24 October 2007, when Detective Constable Mike Marshall (collar number 1756) faxed a copy to Portuguese detective Ricardo Paiva.
By then, the original investigation co-ordinator, Goncalo Amaral, had been booted off the case and replaced by a puppet, Paulo Rebelo.
So, unless and until Leicestershire Police can substantiate whether they sent these important documents to the Portuguese Police back in May, when they should have been sent, this must remain an obvious bit of serious roguery by Matt Baggott and his senior staff. He deliberately failed to disclose to the Portuguese Police an obvious and serious potential new line of enquiry.
Matt Baggott despatched one of his senior officers, Detective Chief Superintendent Bob Small – and two other Family Liaison officers - to Praia da Luz on 4 May, almost as if he had had already known days beforehand that he would be required to send staff to Portugal. And just days later, Small was about to commit one of the biggest acts of roguery in the whole case – wrongly persuading Jane Tanner to identify Robert Murat as the man she claimed to have seen carrying a child near the McCanns’ apartment 45 minutes before Madeleine was reported missing.
Later, Matt Baggott was to invite Gerry McCann to a privileged tour of the major incident room at Enderby Police Headquarters, showing him all the high tech equipment they were using in a bid to find Madeleine. The visit was on Monday 21 May, where Gerry McCann purred with satisfaction, professing himself “impressed with the latest ‘state-of-the-art’ technology”.
Another act of Leicestershire Police roguery was the huge amount of effort put in by Detective Superintendent Stuart Prior, in December 2007 and January 2008, to help the McCann Team and the News of the World to promoting yet another nonsense ‘sighting’ of a possible abductor, ‘Monsterman’, or ‘George Harrison man’.
But perhaps we’ll leave all that for now, until Stuart Prior becomes our ‘Rogue of the Day’.

Re: 'ROGUE OF THE DAY'

Marcos Aragao Correia
Today we bring forward a rogue from Madeira, an island in the mid-Atlantic which belongs to Portugal. Marcos Aragao Correia was a controversial young lawyer there. He became noted for his capacity to tell whopping lies on many occasions.
Sometime around October or November 2007, the McCann Team engaged him, or rather, Cheshire businessman Brian Kennedy engaged him on behalf of the Directors of the Find Madeleine Fund. Kennedy engaged him to carry out several significant tasks for the McCanns.
One of the strangest was a plan devised by the McCann Team to get Correia to search the Arada Dam lake in Portugal for Madeleine’s bones. This was carefully planned. Directed by Brian Kennedy, a meeting was held at the Arade Dam on 10 December 2007. We have this vital detail from the loose-lipped mouth of Correia himself. Present at this historic Arade Dam meeting, together with Correia, was Francisco Marco, the Director of the disreputable Barcelona detective agency, Metodo 3, and his main Madeleine investigator, Antonio Giminez Raso. All had travelled over 500 miles to be at this meeting, which shows its huge importance.
The upshot was that in late January 2008, the world’s media suddenly focused on a dramatic search for Madeleine’s bones in the Arade Dam. This was being carried out by a lawyer, Marcos Aragao Correia, who was doing this out of the ‘goodness of his own heart’ – a ‘Good Samaritan’. He said he was funding the research ‘out of my own pocket’. He claimed that he had used his mediumistic abilities to ‘divine’ that Madeleine had been thrown into a murky lake. He was sure this was the one, and assumed that Madeleine’s body had been thrown in from a tower at the end of the lake. The reaction of the McCann Team and their PR spokesman was fascinating. They pretended they knew nothing about it! - even though Brian Kennedy, Correia and Metodo 3 had been planning this for two months.
Both this search and another one in March 2008 produced nothing of interest except a few bones which turned out to be animals’ bones. Correia then tuned over these bones not to the Portuguese police, as he should have done, but to the Metodo 3 men he was working for. Only months later, after pressure from journalists, did Correia finally make a series of damaging admissions. First, he admitted that he had been employed by Metodo 3. Then he went further and admitted that Brian Kennedy was behind the entire ‘Arade Dam Scam’, and was paying him, at the request of the McCanns, via Metodo 3. What was the purpose, then, of the ‘Arade Dam Scam’. Well, the effect of these two searches for bones was certainly to promote, once again, the idea in the public’s mind that Madeleine really had been abducted, and purported to reveal that Metodo 3 was sincerely following up every possible line of investigation.
But on 1 April 2008, Marcos Aragoa Correia was instructed by the McCanns and Brian Kennedy to carry out an even more important task – namely to try and get Gonçalo Amaral, the initial investigation co-ordinator, convicted of a criminal offence. In this, as we shall see, he succeeded. How did this come about?
One of the most dramatic murder trials in Portuguese history occurred in 2005 when Leonor Cipriano and Joao Cipriano, the mother and uncle respectively of 8-year-old Joana Cipriano, were each handed 16-year jail sentences for murdering her. Joana had caught them committing an act of incest. Their conviction was secured by the painstaking detective work of Gonçalo Amaral, who later became the co-ordinator of the Madeleine McCann investigation.
They had brutally murdered her, cut up her body and disposed of it. They then went round the village pretending she had been abducted. Though both murderers had made voluntary confessions, Joao’s confessions being graphic and detailed, Leonor Cipriano later claimed that a confession had been beaten out of her under torture. She made an allegation that Gonçalo Amaral and four of his detective colleagues had subjected her to brutal torture and, as the Portuguese criminal justice system surprisingly allowed her to do, she brought criminal proceedings against Gonçalo Amaral, and hired a lawyer, using Portuguese Legal Aid.
Months before the prosecution of Amaral was about to start, Metoto 3 and Marcos Correia arranged for Correia to visit her in Odemira Women’s Prison. There, on 8 April 2008, Correia persuaded Cipriano to drop her existing lawyer and appoint him. This was kept secret until the day before the trial began in October 2008.
The trial lasted 17 months, with hearings postponed (as is frequently the case in Portugal) for a variety of ridiculous reasons, one of which was the temporary suspension of Correia’s licence to practise law by the Bar Association in Madeira. None of the police officers were found guilty of torture, but in a bizarre ruling contrary to the evidence, Gonçalo Amaral and one other were found guilty of making a false representation regarding what happened when Cipriano was interrogated at the police station. Each was handed an 18-month prison sentence. Correia was elated: “The target [Gonçalo Amaral] was hit!”, he declared on the court steps. It didn’t matter to him that he had utterly failed to prove his client’s claim of ‘torture’. What really mattered was that Amaral had got a criminal conviction.
When he first came to public notice, as a result of the Arade Dam ‘bones search’, he was asked how he first became interested in the Madeleine McCann case. He said that he had been informed by ‘underground sources’, within three days of Madeleine being reported missing, that she had been abducted, then raped, then killed, and then her body thrown into a murky lake. Challenged by journalists, he admitted this was a wholesale lie and came up with another story. This time, he maintained, he had gone to his ‘first-ever’ Spiritualist Church meeting, on Madeira, on Saturday 5 May, two days after Madeleine had been reported missing. On returning home late, he said he had a vision of a huge, tall man strangling a young, blonde girl. Later, he said, he learnt about the disappearance of Madeleine, and connected that with his vision and so felt moved to help the search of her.
Later, again challenged by journalists, he admitted that this story was also false. It simply beggars belief that the McCanns would co-operate with, pay and instruct a man who would make such comments about their missing daughter to work for them.
He was once asked why Metodo 3 employed him. He told Jose Leite, a journalist for the Portuguese magazine, O Crime:
“Método 3 submitted me to a test in order to prove beyond all doubt whether or not my mediumistic abilities and my accounts were credible. They were fed up with following false leads. The fact is that the test gave totally positive results, according to what was confirmed to me personally by the Director of Método 3 in Barcelona himself. Following my mediumistic abilities passing Método 3’s stringent tests, Método 3 offered full support to my research. But given the fact that Maddie’s parents preferred to spend the decreasing money from the Find Madeleine Fund mainly following leads based on the belief that their daughter was still alive, they dismissed the possibility of paying professional divers to search the dam. So I offered myself to pay for the first phase of the searches in the dam..”

The South African controversial man and his machine. Dismissed by the PJ and the UK police as a crank with nothing to offer the serious investigation into a missing child. From a single hair did the search evolve - from South Africa did that single hair lead to a specific location on the Luz beach - to another specific location on the Black Rock (that's Ingleesh for Negra Roche) - to another specific location in Robert Murat's 'exensive' drive..
A South African, reputed to have solved many a mystery with his untested body detecting hoover. A man with a mission - who provided this man from another hemisphere with such detail about the mystery of Madeleine McCann, a solitary child that allegedly disappeared from her bed whilst on holiday with her parents and siblings in apartment 5a. Ocean Club, Praia da Luz?

Antonio Giminez Raso
Antonio Giminez Raso was once a high-flying Detective Inspector in the Regional Crime Squad of Catalonia, a region of south-eastern Spain. He had a prime position in the Drugs and Human Trafficking Department. This employment came to an end around the end of 2004; whether he ‘resigned’ or was ‘pushed’ is unclear.
Either way, the reason for his departure became clear about three years later.
Before we come to that, Antonio Giminez Raso eventually found employment in the disreputable Barcelona-based detective agency, Metodo 3, which the McCanns turned to in 2007 after reporting their daughter missing.
We know from statements made by him, by his boss Francisco Marco, and by his ultimate employer, Brian Kennedy, that Giminez Raso was employed right at the heart of Metodo 3’s Madeleine McCann investigation, as its lead investigator.
It appears that his main role for Metodo 3 was not to find Madeleine, but to generate false ‘sightings’ of her. He, for example, attended with Brian Kennedy at Portimao Police Station on 13 November 2007, where he and Kennedy supplied the Portuguese police with three sightings of Madeleine, for which they said they had ‘good evidence’. The Portuguese Police followed up all three claimed sightings, but to no avail.
It was on 18 February 2008 that news came through that the Spanish Police had arrested Giminez Raso, his twin brother, and several other members of a large criminal network which was distributing drugs. Specifically, he was charged with helping to steal 200kg of cocaine from a boat in Barcelona harbour - worth around £250 million - and with corruption charges arising from his previous employment as a Drugs Squad Officer in 2004. He was thrown into prison and remanded in custody.
The newspaper headlines in the Spanish, Portuguese and British press were bad for the McCanns: ‘McCann detective arrested on serious drugs charges’. It was very clear that Giminez Raso had been working for Metodo 3.
The headlines could not have been worse, but the vastly trained and experienced PR spokesman who headed up the McCanns’ PT operation, Clarence Mitchell, reacted with typical aplomb.
He told another barefaced lie.
He simply told the world’s press: ‘Giminez Raso wasn’t one of our detectives; he was nothing to do with us”.
No journalist bothered to check this out. And so the story died.
Giminez Raso was to spend four years in prison. When the criminal case was concluded in 2012, Giminez Raso and his brother were lucky to be acquitted. The judge held there was ‘insufficient evidence’ to convict them. But he added a stern warning: “You got far too close to the members of this 27-strong, exceptionally violent criminal gang”.
So that’s now two of the McCanns’ lead investigators who each spent four years in jail, for their crimes or alleged crimes.
That’s a terrible record for the McCann Team. But it actually gets worse than that. For as we shall see in the days to come, even more Madeleine McCann investigators spent time in jail. . .

Arthur Cowley
Arthur Cowley, a retired Police Sergeant, was hired by Cheshire businessman Brian Kennedy to help make a Channel 4 documentary look good by having a couple of coppers in the film. So Kennedy got Channel 4 to film him and Dave Edgar in his special office he’d set up in Knutsford, Cheshire, as his investigation base. It looked superficially very persuasive: whiteboards, charts, names on a wall, diagrams and files – all the props you’d need, really, to make your pretend investigation look real.
It was a calculated act of roguery for Arthur Cowley to prostitute himself to Brian Kennedy. Not only did he agree to work for him but he also allowed Kennedy to walk all over him by using him to promote a key falsehood, namely that Arthur Cowley and his colleague Dave Edgar were employed by a private investigations detective company called ‘Alpha Investigations Group’. Kennedy achieved this by registering the company ‘ALPHAIG’ as a domain name by one of his Director friends. Cowley didn’t do this; Kennedy’s friend did it for him.
And then Kennedy created the ‘ALPHAIG’ company, its registered place of business being a whitewashed cottage 1,000 feet up on Halkyn Mountains – where Cowley lived with his collection of horses and dogs. The company didn’t trade, it didn’t advertise, it never had customers, it had a minimal, notional turnover. Cowley went along with this with help from Brian Kennedy, and his fellow McCann Team member Clarence Mitchell (there's that name again!), to deceive the press and the public into thinking that Alpha Investigations Group was a well-established, successful detective agency, with Edgar and Cowley at the head of it.
It was a lie.
But even this was overshadowed by Cowley’s statement when he ceased working for the McCanns. He said that he had ‘secrets’ about his work for the McCanns and would ‘take my secrets to the grave’.
What kind of ex-police officer takes ’secrets’ regarding a missing three-year-old girl to the ‘grave’, instead of telling the police? A rogue who accepted the McCanns’ shilling for hiding the truth, that’s who.

Rogue of the Day!
Hi GGG,congratulations for the"Rogue of the Day"this truly encaptures the amount of people who have become embroiled in a situation they simply cannot control anymore,"Genie out of the Bottle"that they cannot reverse?
No wonder they very quickly try to distract from association or connections to Madeleine McCann case?
Now we are able to digest the amount of connections to dubious person's of possible"Crimes"that the UK Police for some reason fail to investigate,is this like Mr Goncalo Amaral had suggested when a certain Fund was set up,that it would come under UK Authorities control and Portugal could have no rights to investigate the Fund?

Re: 'ROGUE OF THE DAY'
These are eye openers! It is scary to think this much cover up surrounding one missing little girl was "necessary"? No wonder the public question, and rightly so in the name of Madeleine McCann, an innocent child who deserves so much more.

He worked on or was in charge of some of the largest paedophile and murder investigations in the country, as well as being was one of only 10 specialist Family Liaison officers during his time in the police. Mark is also completing a Masters in Criminology at the University of Central England. It is understood that he attended the meeting between the FFS and the Portuguese forensic team at Leicester police station on 29th November.
Mark Williams-Thomas who claims to have left the police service in order to expose (excuse the inference) Jimi Saville.
Mark Williams-Thomas who has repeatedly spoken out in support of the McCanns. After undertaking a personal 'review' of all the evidence from the PJ investigation, even up to more recent times, concluded that Madeleine was the victim of a chance abduction, having wandered from apartment 5a looking for her parents. Also repeatedly publicly attacked the PJ with allegations of incompetence, unprofessionalism and lack of commitment.
According to a report published by the Liverpool Echo in May 2009..
Mr Mark Williams-Thomas said "Is it unreasonable to presume that Madeleine woke up and then went in search of her parents at a restaurant within a holiday complex that she had grown familiar with over the course of her holiday? Neatly tucking up her toys – as her parents had done to her – she slipped out of the apartment through an insecure patio door."
Mr Williams-Thomas criticised several aspects of the Portuguese investigation, including botched searches and a complete failure to secure the crime scene.
He said the reliance on evidence of dogs trained to detect dead bodies was "significant and damaging", leading police to mistakenly focus on the McCanns.
Mr Williams-Thomas said the couple were made suspects, or arguidos, as a result of ambiguous evidence from specially-trained British dogs and their handlers.
Mr Williams-Thomas said: "It is now clear that, after the Portuguese police failed to establish or identify any possible suspects during their initial investigation, and when they came under increasing pressure to resolve the case, they turned their attention on to Madeleine’s parents.
"In particular, they over-relied on the evidence of the dog team – such as it was, and it was this that prompted them to make Gerry and Kate McCann arguidos.
"In short, they concentrated on their theory that Madeleine had been accidentally killed and that her parents had later hidden her body.
"Although how they would have been able to have done this does not seem to have been considered by the Policia Judiciara."
Mark Williams-Thomas who had to publicly admit (for whatever reason) that the 'make-up' photograph of Madeleine McCann was ill-advised. He who, through his line of work, almost certainly had connections with Jim Gamble ex of the CEOP.
Why would anyone, with such an extensive impressive CV, speak out in support of the prime suspects in a very serious crime?

British geneticist who developed techniques for DNA fingerprinting and DNA profiling, now used worldwide in forensic science to assist police detective work and to resolve paternity and immigration disputes. He is a professor of genetics at the University of Leicester, the very same location that houses Dr Gerald McCann.
The BBC reported in September 2007, that Sir Alec Jeffreys had offered to act as an expert witness in the Madeleine McCann case. I quote..
In an exclusive interview with the BBC's Newsnight programme, Sir Alec said there could be a potential problem in assigning a profile to Madeleine given that all other members of her family would have been in the car.
"DNA testing seeks to establish whether DNA sample A from a crime scene, came or did not come from individual B," he said.
"So if you get a match there's very strong evidence that it did come from B.
"It is then up to investigators, the courts and all the rest of it to work out whether that connection is relevant or not.
"DNA doesn't have the words innocence or guilt in it - that is a legal concept. What it seeks to establish is connections and identifications."
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Technically correct yes but is this particular persons interference morally correct? If what has been repeatedly stated and here confirmed by Sir Alec Jeffreys then what is the point of DNA profiling. If the forensic analysis in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann is to be so readily dismissed as inconsequential, then surely the same principle would apply to every criminal case?

You beat me to it with Mark Williams-Thomas, Verdi, so will just add my contribution on the end of yours as there's a few more points worthy of note.
Mark Williams-Thomas
Mark Williams-Thomas is a failed police officer who has carved out a new career for himself as a ‘criminologist’ and TV documentary-maker. He is a SKY News regular, a sort of ‘crime rent-a-quote’ who pontificates on the latest crimes. Oddly, not long after the death of Jimmy Saville, it was Williams-Thomas who was chosen to present the first documentary which began to expose his career of lasciviousness, rape and necrophilia.
He certainly came to the rescue of the McCanns. Asked about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, he immediately mentioned the ‘abduction’ of 8-year-old Joana Cipriano, the girl we mentioned above when we examined the rogue, Marcos Aragao Correia. Wikipedia informs us: “A child protection specialist, Mark Williams-Thomas, who believes that Joana's and Madeleine's disappearances are related, said that the disappearance of two children unknown to each other, within a period of four years in a seven-mile radius, would be a huge coincidence, especially considering that Portugal is a small country with few abductions”.
Those listening to Mark Williams-Thomas as he explained this on TV would assume that Mark Williams-Thomas knew what he was talking about. He clearly did not. We saw in an earlier ‘Rogue of the Day’ that Joana Cipriano was brutally murdered by her mother and uncle (as the same Wikipedia article acknowledges). So, was he blissfully ignorant of the truth? – in which case he had no business going on TV to talk about the case. He knew about Joana Cipriano. Had he read up on the case? Or was he deliberately, knowingly misleading the viewers. If the latter, he is most certainly a rogue.
As a useful ’rent-a-quote’, he was sent to Praia da Luz as soon as Madeleine was reported missing. He duly gave interviews criticising the Portuguese police. When, 1000 days later, Sir Richard Branson held his glitzy ‘bash; at his swanky ‘Rooftop Restaurant’ on South Kensington, up popped Williams-Thomas once again to tell us it was all the police’s fault that Madeleine hadn’t been found yet.
Of course, as a criminologist, Mark Williams-Thomas would know that in these cases of missing young children, you always look at the family first. He would also know that if a police dog he was using found 17 spots where cadaver scent and blood was detected, he would be chasing the family like a shot. But no, he is paid to ‘tow the party line’, and is no more than a useless paid puppet where three-year-old Madeleine McCann is concerned.

Bog standard Policing.
So what have Operation Grange been up to?
If Scotland Yard have been prevented from walking down that particular elementary avenue it's because some very big guns are directing matters.
The Home Secretary and Scotland Yard are candidates for rogue of the last 5 years.

Hi Tony, Got to agree with what you say on that. That pope looks evil and what's with the red hat LOL.Tony Bennett wrote:@ Verdi I am very glad that, so early in this thread, someone has added the evil Pope Benedict XVI to the new 'Rogue of the Day' feature. Has any other parent of a missing child (missing for less than a month) had the privilege of a ceremonious visit to the Vatican and an audience with a Pope?
He is most certainly an 'A list' rogue, and he gave great succour and encouragement to the McCanns, lending his superstardom to their cause back in May 2007, almost elevating it to a divine cause. Clarence Mitchell claimed personal credit for arranging this trip with R.C. Archbishop Cormac Murphy O'Connor (who I think may have been Irish?).
This also gives me the opportunity here to give a link to a brilliant 80-minute documentary released on 21 December last year onto YouTube - unfortunately minus the segments that the Vatican ordered Google to ut out before they would allow it back on YouTube. Here is the link:

I am recommending it because this is a film of real, professional quality. It features the main men who brought out the outrageous systematic cover-up of child sexual abise by hundreds of thousands of homosexual priests - much of it covered up personally by Cardinal Ratzinger/Pope Benedict XVI both when he wasa Cardinal in Germany and as Pope. It also gives a couple of graphic, authentic accounts of how, in a couple of instances, these homosexuals and paedophiles set about the initial corruption of their victims - and then apply brutal threats to keep their victims silent. If any member or guest here has been abused, watching these two individuals (one female, one male) recount their personal histories will no doubt be painful and bring back awful memories, with tears of sympathy and anger.
I would like to make a couple of points. Near the beginning of the film, the narrator deals with the issue of why nearly all this wicked, industrial-scale abuse of children takes place in the Roman Catholic Church and not in Protestant churches. The reason is simple; it's because the Roman Catholic system is wholly contrary to the Biblical Christianity rediscovered in the Reformation. It is a deeply anti-Christian, anti-Biblical system, and I join with those who wrote the Preface to the Authorised Version, when they presented it to King James I in 1611. They referred to the Popes (plural) as 'The Antichrist' and 'The Man of Sin'.
There's one small issue I have with the film. It was made after Pope Francis was elected Pope, and they seem to think he might bring a brighter future to the utterly discredited institution of the Papacy.
I very much doubt it
I hope you're feeling better and on the road to recovery as well, :flower:
