Hi I’m not the best when it comes to techno stuff! Until I can work out how to upload it, the photo can be found on Getty images, if you put Madeleine McCann in the search box. Then scroll to page 9 of 40 pages of photographs, there’s actually another closer up image of Kate and Amelie
I’ve showed my OH the pic and their conclusion is, it looks like a car key

I’m going to have a look at solarpix to check to see if they have images of the McC’s dated the 5th of May to see if their outfits are the same etc

After looking at Solar pix photos and comparing them with the Getty Image one’s I deffo think they are wearing the same outfits, on Getty images Kate is wearing denims and grey hooded zipper with a line across the front because she has it zipped up you can’t see the top underneath while on solarpix she is wearing the zipper tied around her waste and pink sort of stripe wide necked summer top and the same jeans

On Getty images GM is wearing the same colour of T-shirt as the O’Neil one, although he is holding Sean so you can’t see the emblem on the front he is wearing jeans on solarpix it’s jeans and you can see the O’Neil T-shirt clearly. The only difference is the twins outfits on Getty images they are in shorts and T-shirts while on the solarpix images they are in long tops and trousers. Its not uncommon for toddlers to have changes of outfits on the same day, according to the images on Solarpox the evening of the 5th of May is the night the McC’s done a press conference where GM carries a torch it looks like he is still wearing the same T-shirt as earlier although he has changed his jeans to what looks like navy tracksuit bottoms with a thin red stripe down the sides ( I don’t think I ever seen him wearing them again) and that Mingus beige fleece top with a zip while Kate has changed into that horrible gypsy skirt she seemed to wear on quite a few occasions I think this is when cuddle cat made its debut

It certainly look like a car key fob, very similar to mine except for the colour. This is the narrative supporting the photograph. Kate was still a bit ''scruffy'' looking. She hadn't yet acquired the glow of self confidence. All in my opinion of course.

It doesn't look like a car key to me. Looks like a key ring with something metal inside a plastic hinged sleeve. Not sure what it is.

Anyone got a picture of a 2007 car key that looks like that?

Speaking of cars.... the close family started to come to the resort to support the parents of Madeleine very quickly. The McCann parents didn't have a car that we are aware of so how did all the early visitors get to the resort?

If memory serves me correctly GM’s big sister Trish and her Husband and Mother didn’t arrive until sometime on the 5th as they couldn’t get a flight out till then, KM’s Parents and Aunt arrived in the 4th Michael Wright May have arrived with them, Jane Tanner met with the Gorrod’s on the Monday prior to the 3rd they had a hire car which was returned on the 6th May
I’m going to check Michael Wright and Sandy Cameron’s rigs try to see if they mention how they arrived

Michael Wright arrived on Saturday 5th from Leeds Bradford and hired a taxi from the airport.
Trish and Sandy Cameron arrived Saturday 5th from Manchester and drove to Praia da Luz in a car some friends lent them.

After the announcement to the world didn't the Tapas group stay on for differing periods of time? Did they remain in their apartments or were they moved to different apartments? Could this be what he was meaning by after Madeleine had disappeared? That they still had lunch in the Payne's apartment.

Yes I’m sure they left the resort and went back to Blighty at different times, I think the Paynes stayed for the longest period of them all
