It’s not uncommon for a child clothes to be slightly to big for them
In the Uk you normally get size age 2 to 3
then age 3 to 4 etc

Was it not a Marks and Spencer’s T-shirt ? Was there a M&S at East Midlands airport in 2007? Personally I don’t think so although can’t confirm I’m sure East Midlands is more a cargo based airport

Was it not the fridge/freezer from the villa? That's what I was meaning.
It's difficult to find mention of it, as it was 'whooshed'. Some people say it was from the apartment; others say the villa. It has been said that it was in a newspaper such as The Times online. I'll keep looking!

I think KM will have told them at least partly what happened, perhaps telling them they acted as they did to protect them.

According to KM, Sean sought answers as a child so I think he must have looked her in the eye as an adult and asked for the truth.

As young children we believe all sorts of fantasy but eventually come to realise that it is just that fantasy. As children we see and hear things we don't understand but with age and wider knowledge we begin to understand.

I am sure the twins will have been bombarded with the word abduction but now they are away at uni they will be exposed to much that hopefully will encourage and allow any questions they may have to be further asked and even researched.

As we know there is much to research. Some of it fairytales but some very hard facts too.

I would imagine that if they are away at uni and their parents, the people the twins mix and associate with will ask them questions which will instigate them to explore various theories. This is sure to raise doubts and questions that may be on their minds. I hope that it does as it all needs to be out in the open. Hopefully they aren't part of the super injunction charade.
So far the McCanns have tried to feel in everybody into their charade and we can hope that the twins want no involvement in it.
There are heaps of information out there so Hopefully they find some proper stuff based on the research done by serious research.

I sincerely hope for their emotional and mental wellbeing that they steer clear of it all, and enjoy their time as young adults in whatever they are doing, and people leave them alone. It is unfair for them to be carrying any of the burden for what happened. Naturally, there are psychological consequences for living with a sibling who is not present, but present, and the assumption is they would have had professional support in dealing with this.

Has anyone read Kate Atkinson's book, Behind the Scenes at the Museum? I read it years ago and posting this reminded me of the book. I must read it again as it's a great book.

Up to a point I agree with you that they are left alone and certainly that they can enjoy their time as young adults and their time at university with everything that it offers. And no they shouldn't carry any burden for what happened on that holiday nor anything since.
However, part of being an adult, even a young adult is learning that life isn't all puppy dogs. The harsh reality is that their older sister never went back home with them. Now they will not have the same parental constraints so maybe the new freedom will allow them to do their own research into that holiday in 2007.

That harsh reality has been with them since May 2007 and is interwoven in their psyche - it is part of who they are, but should not define them.

What they choose to do now as young adults is their business.

It doesn’t mean they aren’t going to question it and more than likely when they are out of their individual family bubble’s living and independent lifestyle personally and financially

Whilst I hope that the McCann kids do live normal adult lives, I think it is inevitable that curiosity will steer them into taking a look at the real evidential facts about the case. I suppose it will be up to them to form their own opinions and thoughts on what really happened to their sister. Part of growing up and becoming independent adults is to make own mind up about belief systems we are born and raised with. I just hope that they are well balanced and emotionally strong individuals now as the real world can be a dark place indeed.

I'm not sure what's true or not now, Julia Wendalt was recently on Shaun Attwood's podcast saying she recently went to see the McCann's.
Actually she waited outside their house and spoke to them.
They basically told her to go away.

Heck, personally I could never hide the truth from my kids. Even if I did something which at the time was to protect them then of couse I would lay it on the line when and as soon as they were old enough.
Of course the age varies according to the event but often children are more resilient than you give them credit and a hard truth will always be better than a big soft lie.

If Sean and Amalie believe what their parents say happened that night, once they were old enough to realize that the abductor was in the same room as them, I wonder how it affected them and if they have had therapy.
They are, and will be for the rest of their lives, be famous by association.
I know if that was me, I would be traumatised to think I was left alone and someone abducted my sister possibly walking past and looking in my cot.
