Could someone please tell the dates the McCanns had booked for their trip to Luz . I know they arrived on the 28th of April 2007 but I don't know which date they were to fly back to England?

David Payne stated he was to return on Saturday 5 May 2007.

Kate mentions she was feeling Guilty about the Tapas Booking, but it would be no longer a problem on Saturday.

Tracking the McCanns movements to Palma da Mallorca in 2005 would also be of Interest.

Saturday 28/4 to Saturday 5/5 would be standard for a cheap package holiday, which this clearly was.
Which is why choosing Thursday night was crucial
Wednesday would have given the PJ long enough to review the statements and then re-interview principle 'witnesses'
Friday night would have forced the PJ to stop anyone leaving on Saturday
Thursday night gave the PJ a full day to take initial statements and no real reason to delay departure

Thursday night at 22:00 GMT was close of Voting in the U.K. Election.

I find it more likely that the Time and Date was chosen FOR the McCanns.

Friday night the Tapas Bar was closed for a Tennis Meeting.

Saturday the Group was due to Fly out.

The Government did not want the People to be distracted from Voting.

Iberia along with other Airlines have an agreement where they know if certain Passengers can be of use in an Emergency they place them in either the safest place, usually at the back of the Plane, or near Emergency Exits.

Doctors, Police or Military Personnel usually sit next to each other without ever knowing why.

The reason is so if the Plane has an Emergency, these Passengers can be of immediate assistance to either the Crew or Survivors.

Can anyone confirm what the McCanns were doing in Amsterdam that weekend? Were the Twins due a check at the VU Amsterdam IVF Clinic?

Seating arrangements so far identified on the Iberia Madrid flight.

Seat A window left D. Payne. Seat B G. McCann.
Seat E window right K.Healy Seat D middle M. McCann. Seat C empty

Further back behind Kate Healy and Madeleine.
F Payne and an unknown Woman with a Baby.

A Gaspar wearing a Lilac colour Polo shirt.
K Gaspar wearing an Indian Sari type dress, seen dragging a large Suitcase whilst Pregnant up the Aisle on boarding the Flight.
E Gaspar wearing an apparently self made dress in bright yellow with a three section back. Long black hair with multiple hair bands in a long tail.

Still working on the Golds and another woman seen behind Fiona Payne boarding the Flight carrying a Baby. Her description matches Dianne Webster, but in her Statement she claims she has not been on Holiday with the Group before 2007.

It was local elections in most of England and all of Scotland rather than a UK election.

Palma Airport being an international hub may appeal to the Balearic government but it does little for this island, tourists arrive here spend a few hours at the airport and then move on to their final destination. Apart from the landing fees paid to the airport authorities little money is earned by the island. But these people are still counted in and out and therefore the arrival and departure figure are inflated considerably. Palma counts tourists who are probably going on holiday to Alicante or Tenerife as their own. So on visitor numbers we may be heading for a record-breaking season in August. As we all know the summer season gets shorter every year at a time when it should be getting longer. In just 14 days the island will be closing down once again marking the end of summer 2005. End of story.
The peak season lasts for just six weeks, not four months. I am told that this summer there will be even fewer winter flights to Majorca from Britain and Germany. Why? Because little or no attempt has been made to cultivate this market.

Palma de Mallorca Airport hits all records in the summer season 2005. In August, the number of passengers increased for the first time in a month via the three-million mark. Exactly 3.015,605 passengers have taken off and landed in Son Sant Joan, 2.14 percent or 63,283 more than in the same month of the previous year. So far, more than 14'8 million passengers have been handled throughout the year, 4,65 percent more than in the same period 2004.

The number of passengers from Germany has increased at an above-average sharp rate. Nearly 970,000 travelers came to Alemania, an increase of 4'52 percent.
In August, they are the by far the strongest group in front of the UK with a good 728,000 (minus 6'85 percent) and Spain (plus 4,66 percent).
