I'm bumping this link posted-up by CMoMM member Cheshire Cat of the Madeleine Foundation [with gratitude], back in the beginning of the year.  It's a bit lengthy but well worth the read.

Published by the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA), from the horses mouth so to speak, from an official source it shows the extent of the UK establishments involvement in the case of Madeleine McCann's disappearance - or should that be protection of the parents McCann - and the level of interference into the Portuguese investigation.

still a must read!

this document looks to have a bit of a problem. the direct link to the doc in pdf format does not often work, as in almost never.

so there is a way around it;

first we go to this site;

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

scroll down til you see search, click it;

you will get to here; https://www.college.police.uk/library/search

choose classic catalogue

and you get to the form, by a redirecting, to this; https://library.college.police.uk/HeritageScripts/Hapi.dll/search1

type or copy ;Strategic-debrief-operation-task in all fields and the title bars, and 2009 in publication year.

that will bring you here;

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

somehow i got the feeling , they do not like you to get access to this piece of work.
but as a bonus, that same search delivers access to the debrief of the matthews case.

or just go to directly to the library of the uk police; https://library.college.police.uk/HeritageScripts/Hapi.dll/search1?SearchPage=srchgen.htm
