His takedown of Uri Gellar is great.Flossy wrote:James Randi was one of the best.Bluebagthepirate wrote:There are some great videos on YouTube exposing people who communicate with the dead.
Despite running from 1964 to 2015, with thousands of applicants trying, no-one ever managed to win the One Million Dollar Paranormal Challenge.
Gellar was on the Johnny Carson show and James Randi advised the show on how to stop Gellar doing his usual tricks... and I mean tricks, usually chaos, misdirection and preprepared props.
It was embarrasing for Gellar.

Re: BRICK Reviews
Bernt has analysed the timeline in great detail, looked at it very closely, same with the disposal of Maddie’s body. This means he can rightly speak about these aspects with a lot of confidence. He has not looked so deeply into the reasons for the cover up, so he steers clear from having strong views on this. That’s why he only alludes to it being about SA. He states why he thinks there is a cover up & how he has come to think this, but invites you to form your own opinion. The book is about the timeline and what happened to Madeleine. It is not about the cover up.Truthseeker90210 wrote:One thing bout the book stood out to me when compared to the JE interview. Btw Bernt amazing you’ve joined the forum! Bernt downplayed the SA involvement in the interview but the motive for the sudden impulse in the book sadly alluded to this. This makes me highly more suspicious of the Ghasper statements and I wonder if (as an nhs employee myself) the nhs has investigated the conduct of Dr Payne.

The first thing they have to do, in year 1 – age 19/20 – is dissect a human body. Black humour is the only way to get round that.

I totally agree about the repetition. I think it’s wholly necessary. He is bringing clarity to a colossal mess, I don’t see how he could do that without the repetition. Certainly not without losing his audience.Flossy wrote:I’m only around 15% of the way through the book. So far I am enjoying the read. I’m just concluding the section on the timeline and the discrepancies within the timeline. I can understand the point of view that some see a good dose of repetition in the book, but I can certainly understand the need for that, especially in the section I have just read. The supposed timeline is such a tangled web that it certainly requires an amount of repetition to fully appreciate some of the links and intricacies of each point. I will state that my viewpoint and Bernt’s are not in alignment with regards to certain elements, including the involvement of the friends on holiday, however I am open to reason and I will reserve my questions until after I have finished the book as I may well find the answers by reading on.

Kate told us she had horrible vivid slide shows going on in her head for days and weeks, about Maddie mottled on a large grey stone slab.
Again you're screaming at those who actually read my book, that you did not.
If you'd read my book, you'd know that Kate only felt relieved after they'd moved the body, which was weeks later...

Most unfortunately, Bernt Sallender rejects all the evidence that Madeleine was no longer alive by the Sunday evening, 29th April 2007, which is why I have not contributed to threads about his book.deepeepee wrote:I think Bernt would be well placed to answer these questions. He has contacts in the Portuguese police and has been in touch with Amaral so would surely be aware of what exactly may be blocking any police investigation of his findings...
The least the police could do is interview him and either follow up or dismiss what he has to say after that.
It alll depends on what he is able to tell them.
Despite appearing credible, I get the feeling that there is no real proof/evidence (yet!) even though Bernt is convinced of certain things. I feel that he needs extra evidence to corroborate his theories and that is why he can't really "show all his cards" as he said, I think ??
It seems to me that he is trying to find a way to provoke some kind of confirmation of his theories in publishing his book. I haven't read it so just going on what others have said and what he has said in his interviews.

They were photographed and the photo handed to a press agency, who released it on 8 May, as the search for Madeleine continued. The McCanns held up these same pyjamas at two press conferences on 5 & 7June 2007. How could Madeleine have been abducted?"

Re: BRICK Reviews
Absence of signs of life, is not evidence of death.
But you are ignoring what Mrs Fenn heard and the tennis photo. You are also refuting OCCAM'S RAZOR, which rarely leads to the truth. You are even refuting the land slide of leaks in their statements, the diary and Kate's bewk.
So agree to disagree.
If you'd read my book, you wouldn't add the pj comments at the end.
If you actually did read the book, you are unfortunately too rigid to see the burning steak under your nose, but instead stuck on the crumbles on the table.
Do you think statement analysis is a pseudo science, Mr. Bannett?

Tony, why do you think Maddie died on Sunday? Mrs. Fenn heard her crying on Tuesday night. Do you think she heard another child or lied?

Sorry to see Tony has such a closed mind. Even Peter is more open minded after having read Bernt's book, which clearly Tony hasn't.

Tony, you're both on the same side.Tony Bennett wrote:

I think Mrs Fenn heard something the Tuesday night and that more medication was used Wednesday so it didnt happen again.
I don't think they faked the creche records all week but it was possible Thursday.
If you haven't read Bernt's book then I think you should.
