Re: Leave No Stone Unturned
Verdi My question is why Australia took such an interest in the case of a child who disappeared whilst holidaying in Portugal, across the other side of the globe. I'm not looking for confirmation that they did take an interest. wrote:
The video footage is a compilation from various sources, it is not clear who when where or why. That aside, I was referring to the Australian documentary broadcast in January 2017, as I think I made clear.
There is also video footage of Ranhi Sadler walking the streets of Luz with Dr Amaral - that didn't happen, it was faked.
Beware of fake news.
Here is video of Rahni Sadler discussing the case in 2017. She also addresses the factors WHY there was so much interest in the case.

But please can someone give me a link to the 2017 documentary...all I've seen is the 2011.
Also after further consideration the 2011 interview between McCanns & Rahni probably took place in Praia da Luz and not Ireland. The McCanns are said to return every year????

Unfortunately the 2017 documentary was removed from view some while ago.
I can't recall the reasoning off the top of my head, maybe a copyright issue, I will try to find in due course.

I was looking at this photo again and I don't know if Rahni actually claimed that she interviewed Amaral or simply implied it. Anyway the man in this photo actually looks like an Amaral look-alike....compare this photo with the one in this link Pat Brown with Amaral in Portugal 2012 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Verdi wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: Leave No Stone Unturned
Kanga, I understand Dr Amaral has lost a considerable amount of weight due to a health condition. This could explain why he looks a bit different from past photographs and videos.
I really don't know.

And I guess we will never know without seeing the disappearing 2017 Documentary interview where somehow Rahni feigns being with Amaral. Some questions just have to go unanswered.

As a matter of interest, it was Clarence Mitchell who took the roadshow over to the land of Oz back in 2016. This video has been uploaded on CMOMM a number of times but vot the hell, you can never have too much of a good thing..

Cat Baker probably wasn't used to using the 24 hour clock, and would no doubt have meant 17h25.tigger wrote:Finn wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
On Thursday the 3rd of May 2007, I remember Gerry having accompanied Madeleine to the club between 9h15 and 9h20 in the morning. I do not remember who came to pick her up for lunch but after she returned in the afternoon for a dive/swim. These activities were realized with the other children. On this day I remember that we sailed and I saw friends of the McCanns on the beach, David and Jane. Around 14h45 Madeleine returned to the Minis Club on top of the reception but I do not remember who accompanied her. This afternoon we went swimming. Kate went to get Madeleine from the Tapas Bar area and according to what I remember she was wearing sporting clothes and I assumed that she was practicing some form of athletics. It was around 15h25/18h00. I think that Gerry was playing tennis.
That's a rather wide margin! Over 2.5 hours - so is it an error in the statement or does CB think that's a good approximate time?
The tennis question has been addressed both here and by Blacksmith I believe, since the CCTV evidence of the Paraiso Bar is evidence of quite a different story and very different timeline.

Re: Leave No Stone Unturned
@ momac. According to Cat's statement "This (May 3rd) afternoon we went swimming" and, indeed, "dive and find" was scheduled for the Lobsters group from 3.30-4.30 p.m. that day.
Madeleine was, at this stage, the sole girl in her group. As a three year old she would have needed supervision and assistance with showering, drying off and getting dressed again after her swim. The possibility of mistaken identity given that Madeleine was the only girl is, IMO, non existent.
What is also interesting IMO, is what allegedly followed. Having just had a swim (and presumably a quick shower afterward to clean off the pool chemicals) an "exhausted" Madeleine is collected from high tea. She is too tired to go to the playground as usual or to even walk the short distance from the Tapas bar to the apartment. Yet, despite her exhaustion, Kate allegedly gives her yet another bath - a maximum of one hour after her last immersion in water! I don't believe a word of it!

I don't believe a word of either what Cat B said (or what KM said), I was merely trying to explain what she could have meant when she said 15h25 rather than 17h25. (See the quote in red in the previous post)

Re: Leave No Stone Unturned
Well, Messrs McCann aided and abetted by their media manipulator in chief, Clarence Mitchell, stopped at nothing to keep the 'search' campaign alive and kicking.
No stones unturned no holes barred, they took the roadshow to the exclusive London venue, the Kensington Roof Gardens owned by the billionaire entrepreneur Richard 'tricky dicky' Branson, for an auction charity fund raising bash, all proceeds to the Find Madeleine Co Ltd - of course.
The function attracted a whole host of z-listed celebrities, quite the envy of socialites across the nation..

Tom Lowe (voice over): The parents of Madeleine McCann say they're "trying to move forward", as another milestone passes since their daughter's disappearance.
It's now a thousand days since Madeleine vanished from her family's holiday apartment in the Portuguese resort of Praia da Luz.
Kate and Gerry McCann were joined by celebrity supporters including Gloria Hunniford and actor Peter Bowles at a charity fundraising event to mark the sad anniversary.
Kate McCann: Well, it's obviously difficult but we're trying to move forward and, you know, to help Madeleine and help all missing children, so...
Martin Houghton-Brown (Chief Executive, Missing People): It's a thousand days since Maddie, errr... went missing and it's a timely reminder of the thousands of parents around Europe, errr... and in the UK, errr... who tonight are alone and, errr... hoping for news of their missing child and, errr... it's an important night for all of us to remember those families who are left behind when a child goes missing.

One thing the McCanns do not understand
The trouble is with the walking out and being abducted theory is this, how likely is that, probably millions to one. And if someone just happened to be prowling the streets, on the "off chance" of finding a little girl, not a little boy, a little girl of the right age the odds are astronomical.
Now if we consider the "Smithman" sighting, that would suggest to me, someone totally unprepared to abduct a child. Surely if your planning an abduction, you'd have a vehicle near by, and not want to risk, running through the streets. It certainly wouldn't be a burglar or pedophile, who happened to break in to the apartment and ends up killing a little girl, because why take the body. Surely you only move a body to disguise either a "crime scene" or "a murder".

Re: Leave No Stone Unturned
Jon Corner - CNN Newsroom Interview aired on 7th September 2007
HARRIS: John Corner joins us now. He is a friend to the McCanns and the godfather to their twins.
John, good to talk to you.
What is your reaction to the news that Kate McCann is now a suspect in the disappearance of Maddie?
JOHN CORNER, FRIEND OF MCCANNS: Well, I'm appalled, but I'm also frustrated. You know, I've worked very, very hard with Kate and Gerry in the campaign to find our missing child and our missing Madeleine. And what we're worried about truly is that this investigation or this new line that the Portuguese police have taken is going to derail those real efforts.
You know, we were in Spain only a few weeks ago and dropping posters in different towns in Spain. And what we were amazed that is 50 percent of the people that we were approaching had never heard of Madeleine. And that's what we're up against right at street level of getting those posters out. And that advice had come to us from the U.S. The International Center for Missing and Exploited Children have been marvelous in their support and guidance and direction. They're the world experts. And they're saying to us, you know, six months in an average time. So hang on in there. Keep looking for Madeleine. And now this.
HARRIS: Well, John, I'm trying to understand here, Kate is now an official formal suspect. You believe she had nothing to do with this disappearance?
CORNER: Absolutely. Absolutely.
HARRIS: So why do you think she's a suspect? And have you heard -- you certainly are aware of the new evidence that seems to be pointing, at least the authorities, in her direction?
CORNER: Well, you know, whenever Kate and Gerry hear that there's new evidence or new technological evidence, it gives them hope because they think the Portuguese police are going to have a new breakthrough, it's going to lead us to whoever's abducted Madeleine. It's going to allow us to get her back home safely. And I think it's truly frustrating and exasperating. It's just dreadful that the mind set of the police is quite the opposite, that they're actually looking into the parents and not looking out, not doing the search, not doing the intensive work that we really need . . .
HARRIS: You would have been surprised -- John, you would have been surprised if the authorities hadn't looked at the parents, wouldn't you?
CORNER: Well, you know, Kate and Gerry were interviewed at some length in that first few days. Interviewed extensively. And that's good -- that due diligence, that's good practice. You know, all police forces do that. You look, you interview the parents, you clear them and you move on and we get out there and find Madeleine. And for us to come full circle after four months is just dreadful. It's (INAUDIBLE).
HARRIS: Well, how do you explain the apparent break-through in the case? You mentioned a break-through a moment ago. Well, there has been a break-through in the case, according to the authorities. How do you explain the blood in the rental car? A car rented more than 20 days after Maddie was reported missing? How do you explain it?
CORNER: It defies explanation, quite frankly. I have no idea. It flies in the face of common sense. I could speculate all day about that, but . . . HARRIS: Well wait a minute, John. I mean this is DNA evidence. This is DNA found in a rental car that was rented by the couple 20 days -- I'm just asking you, how do you explain it?
CORNER: It makes -- I can't explain it. It makes no sense. It makes no sense.
HARRIS: Do you or do you not . . .
CORNER: I just know that . . .
HARRIS: Do you not trust what the authorities are saying to you? Have you talked to Gerry or Kate about the new evidence?
CORNER: No, I haven't. Not about new evidence. Only about the police line of questioning last night. And, quite frankly, it makes no sense to me and I can't speculate on it. You know, it just -- it makes no sense at all.
HARRIS: So the authorities come back, let me just try this on you. The authorities come back to Kate and to Gerry because the question lingers, who leaves a three-year-old to watch two-year-old twins. Who does that?
CORNER: Well, you have to understand the situation. I think the only thing that Kate and Gerry are guilty of is a little bit of complacency. It's a very, very sleepy town. Well, it certainly was before the media . . .
HARRIS: Complacency? How about neglect?
CORNER: There has been police force (ph) . . .
HARRIS: How about neglect? How about child endangerment?
CORNER: Well, I disagree with that. I disagree with that. And if you talk to the International Center for Missing and Exploited Children, they disagree with that, too.
HARRIS: So as a general practice, it's OK with you, in your mind and the way you think for a three-year-old to be left to care for two- year-old twins?
CORNER: I'm not sure that's productive at this stage to talk about that. I mean, I've been to (INAUDIBLE). I've looked at it very carefully myself. And it literally was like sitting in your garden. That's how far away the apartment was.
HARRIS: OK. John Corner is a friend of the McCanns and, John, some tough questions to ask you, but we appreciate you stepping up to take those questions on for us.
CORNER: Yes.
HARRIS: Appreciate it. Thank you.

we were in SPAIN ? ? ?
Why not Portugal ?
what has Spain got to do with it ?
Unless of course we go back to the Huelva connection, and the 3rd August trip . 110 MILES from Pdl to Huelva.
British Cemetery, just off the main road into town, where the remains of Major Martin - The Man Who Never Was - are interred . . .
I note he says "dropping posters in different townS" (PLURAL)
There are no towns anywhere close. A few scattered villages and hamlets, but nothing until Sevilla.
As with all things McCann, nonsense on stilts, interesting only for what it conceals.

Any idea who they were?

Or since the events date from 2007, perhaps El Rey Juan Carlos Alfonso Víctor María de Borbón y Borbón-Dos Sicilias

They also took their roadshow to Germany, the Netherlands, Rome - the Vatican no less and Morocco.
One might ask the same .... what has that got to do with it? Short of indirectly accusing different nations of nurturing child abuse and child trafficking and harbouring their stolen, sorry abducted, child.
Damn cheek.

Leave No Stone Unturned
Please don't be cross with me for posting in the wrong place. I read everything but write nothing (except for the twice when I got to feel stupid after the wonderful Verdi's response to me) -- two questions:
1. Will we have any luck with Boris on the Madeleine mystery?
2. Does anybody remember something about a lock on the outside of the parents' bedroom door?
Thanks gang

Re: Leave No Stone Unturned
New Topic, Gerry`s 2 passports.
Iv`e been directed to this forum by Verdi because I was off topic. Anyway yesterday I read a very interesting point made by NickE, who said Gerry`s passport as shown in the P files, was a different number to the passport number on the car hire document. The car hire document also showed his driving license number. Additional driver was Michael Wright, who`s driving license number was also shown. All the car hire documents with Gerry`s name only ie, no additional driver, only show his passport number. Verdi seems to think it is Sandy Cameron`s passport number ,but he is only an additional driver. Gerry would not be able to use some other persons passport to hire a car surely. Can anyone shed any light on this.

Verdi seems to think it is Sandy Cameron`s passport number ,but he is only an additional driver. Gerry would not be able to use some other persons passport to hire a car surely. Can anyone shed any light on this.

Re: Leave No Stone Unturned
You're missing the salient point crusader.
According to Sandy Cameron's witness statement he hired the Renault Scenic on behalf of Gerry McCann. Admittedly, car hire agents used mainly by tourists, are not the most diligent when it comes down to documentation but can you imagine if a stranger appeared wanting to hire a car using someone else's passport?
A passport is a form of identification.
I repeat..
On the 27th of May of 2007, Gerry was handed a rental vehicle in the Mark Warner tourist complex; a Renault Scenic with plate number 59-DA-[27. I met with the representative of the car rental agency at Gerry's request, and as such, my name was also on the rental contract so that I could also drive the vehicle; to drive the children and to go shopping. These were things that Gerry was too occupied to carry out himself. I was the habitual drive of the vehicle and used it daily.

It's not a matter of what Verdi 'seems to think'. This information is all documented in the PJ files - my comments are based on documented information, not some wild imagining.
However you wish to look at this, one thing can't be denied - the possibility of Gerry McCann having two passports and using both concurrently is ridiculous in the extreme. Ludicrous!
If it's energisation you're looking for, try Red Bull .

Re: Leave No Stone Unturned
In answer to your points
1 The most salient point is the evidence
2 In Sandy Cameron`s statement, he never said HE hired the car
on behalf of Gerry. If you have evidence to the contrary I`d love
to see it.
3 Iv`e hired more cars in Europe than I can remember and they
are most diligent on documentation.
4 You cannot hire a car using someone else`s documents and
name. They could be stolen, then bye bye car.
5 I know exactly what a passport is, having had one for many
years.
6 As for you repeating a snippet from Cameron`s statement, it
does not alter the fact Sandy Cameron never said he hired the
car, only that Gerry was handed a rental vehicle in the Mark
Warner complex and Cameron met with the representative
of the car agency at Gerry`s request to be named as additional
driver. If Cameron had rented the car, Gerry would have been
named as additional driver.
7 What Verdi `seems to think`is in no way meant to be
derogatory.
8 Wild imagining, Where did that come from !!!
9 As for the Red Bull comment, derogatory, and not worth
commenting on.
FACTS
File number 2945 to 2952
As regards regards the Renault Grand Scenic number plate 59-
DA-27, it was hired by Gerry Mccann from rent a car AA Castanheira
with offices in Lagos on 27-5-2007 and was delivered to Mccann
couple at the apartment they were occupying in P da Luz from which time it was noted in the contract that a friend of the Mcann`s
Alexander Cameron, was noted as an additional driver.
If we should not to believe what we read in the PJ files, apart from the tapas 9 lot, then what is the point.
When all is said and done, I still think NickE, made a very good observation, worthy of investigation and comment.
NO STONE UNTURNED and all that.
Members should not be uneasy about posting anything that they feel is relevant to finding Madeleine, for fear of ridicule or your razor sharp tongue Verdi.
As for myself, I shall continue to read the members comment`s, whether they are off topic, wild imaginings or impeccably researched. This will be my last post.
We are all trying in our own small way to find out what happened to Madeleine Beth Mccann. x
I wont be posting again

. . . which is a pity, since only by picking away at the scabs which have crusted over important points will we release the pus of disinformation which has developed under them.

And he adds: "In reality, when the McCanns went to Oprah's Show, the blanket was mentioned. At a given moment, when Oprah tells Kate that she heard her mention a blanket several times, Kate argued that a mother who misses a child always wants to know if she is comfortable, if she is warm, and added, referring to Maddie, that sometimes she asked herself if the person who had taken her would cover her up with her little blanket (but the blanket was on the bed after Maddie, supposedly, disappeared!!!).

Re: Leave No Stone Unturned
So we turn to the PJ Files for confirmation.
To start, the Renault Scenic was hired in the name of Gerald McCann, not by Gerald McCann in person. If Sandy Cameron is to be believed, he met with the hire company's representative and the car was delivered to the McCanns at the Ocean Club. As I said previously, not is so many words, no matter how shoddy documentation might be, the hire company wouldn't issue a car to a stranger (read Sandy Cameron) using someone else's passport as identification - at least I sincerely hope not.
That aside and of more importance in my view is the correlating documented information which appears to be at variance to say the least.
Above as quoted from the PJ Files, it says Alexander (Sandy) Cameron was named as an additional driver 'from which time', i.e. 27th May 2007.
Now I turn to the hire contract copies contained within the PJ Files.
The hire contract is in the name of Gerry McCann - additional drivers as follows..
27th May 2007 - Michael Wright
3rd June 2007 - Michael Wright
3rd July - No additional driver named
2nd August 2007 - No additional driver named
1st September 2007 - Michael Wright
This information is taken from copies of the rental agreements contained in the PJ files, despite the same files stating that Alexander Cameron was the initial additional driver.
From here it gets even more intriguing..
Sandy Cameron's witness statement

Michael Wright's witness statement
At the time I travelled with Anne-Marie on 8 June, Kate and Gerry had rented a vehicle. It had seven seats, I judged [thought] it to be a Renault Espace. Gerry suggested that I be added to the insured driver's list so that I could drive it while they were in Morocco, but I judged [thought] that to be unnecessary as they would only be gone for a few days. When I was in Portugal on 12 July I was picked up by Kate who was driving the Renault Espace.
It was on our trip to Portugal on 22 August that Gerry suggested that I was added to the contract as an additional driver and I accepted. Gerry and I went to Lagos and I was included in the contract as additional driver.
I drove the car regularly in August and September,
Gerald McCann's arguido statement
When questioned, he says he is the usual driver of the car. In addition to G. the car could also be driven by his wife Kate, sister [sic] in law Sandy and a cousin of Kate's by the name Michael.
Go figure ....

Re: Leave No Stone Unturned
madeleine by KATE MCCANN
Now that it looked as if we were going to be based in Praia da Luz for the long haul, with frequent journeys to airports and regular meetings set up with the police at the British Consulate in Portimão, we’d decided it would be easier if we had our own car.
We’d duly taken possession of a rented Renault Scenic on 27 May.
