I informed Ms Brand politely via twitter this afternoon that Madeleine and her family were not staying in a hotel May 2007 also that Kate was not made a suspect in the murder of her child.

That Is exactly why I believe its true. As it was such a nauseating article, she would not have written anything 'hurtful' unless it was true. Unless the function of the nauseating was to allow her to slip in the fact of thecmarriage breakdown.

Let's face it, even ignoring the situation she would have lots of reasons to split, aside from the swinger rumours and Gerry sharing a pedophilic conversation with David Payne (according to dr gaspar's), or even being mates with someone such as david Payne who even the child protection expert social worker Yvonne martin found suspicious and creepy, as well as familar to her through work.. He is clearly very controlling and high on narcissism.

Haven't had time to read all the recent posts yet, so sorry if this has already been said.

I thought something had changed between KM and GM, they used to always be together but recently Kate's been doing a lot of things on her own, tv interviews, a visit to PdL. Whether or not they were responsible for MM's disappearance, my guess is that GM wants to move on, while KM is still living in the past with regard to Madeleine. Kate does seem to be more confident to act on her own initiative now.

Precisely! That's why I said it's unclear what she's apologising for. Those of us who saw the original article know what was deleted. Katy's tweet will me a mystery to others.

I think it's quite likely. The driving force for them to stay together has long gone. Now that KM is an ambassador for missing children she is safe enough alone as long as she doesn't talk about Maddie, May 2007 or anything that's sensitive.

Gerry imo needed to make sure Kate didn't spin out of control as she has done several times in the past. e.g. 'I know what happened', the phonecall and the dream. Gerry answered all the questions in September, Kate answered none. I think on his instruction.

I've never seen the two of them interact like two people who are at least fond of each other. They don't interact at all imo. It's always been a presentation.
