The background is this.

Darren Laverty is a former resident of Bryn Estyn children's home, where he was abused along with many other boys.

Since then he has been on the fringe of some of the various action groups calling for a proper enquiry into historical child abuse.

Somehow, along the way, he and Sonia Poulton, who also has been around the fringe of the child abuse lobby, encountered each other on Twitter and began engaging in spat after spat. It has been going on for up to 4 years.

Esther Baker is the young woman who made a series of lurid allegations about being routinely raped on Cannock Chase at night-time by assorted Lords, MPs, judges and vicars - and claimed that police officers in uniform, who were there to guard the scene, "sometimes sort of joined in", whatever that may mean. SKY TV ran a news item of Baker being interviewed by Mark Watts on Cannock Chase. In my personal view Baker's story wholly lacked credibility and I can't fathom why SKY should have transmitted it.

Watts' credibility has been further diminished by being the man who published 'Darren's tales of men like Sir Edward Heath, Harvey Proctor and Lord Bramall raping boys and murdering some of them. His tales could not be corroborated.

Quite why Watts is following, very closely, this tawdry story of nasty and vulgar tweets among Twitter nasties who slag each other off on Twitter all day long is baffling, but maybe there is more to it than that, otherwise the CPS wouldn't have brought this to the Crown Court for trial.

I am afraid all three, Laverty, Baker and Poulton have a long history of sending out nasty tweets, including in Poulton's case some seriously anti-Semitic material, and I daresay the jury wil be taken laboriously through them all.

Very strange.

Maybe when the court case is over Sonia will be able to finish off that documentary...

Hi Sar,thanks for your posting of the"Darren"connection.
Mark Watts,former Exaro editor,may have been right or wrong in the child sex abuse allegations against the afore mentioned persons,Esther Baker claims?
What we do know is that"Prominent Government Committees(Keith Vaz)"have been involved into how the Met Police Service had become embroiled in various Operations,Ore/Midland and child abuse allegations.
What the public has found out about how the Metropolitan Police Service have conducted themselves leaves an awful trail of inappropriate Police procedures with regard to the Social Care Homes and their clients suffering child abuse dating back Four decades,which then begs the question.
Have the Police become part of the Cover Up?
Perhaps the Police are pursuing"Darren on stalking charges",which if found guilty,will probably mean a Jail sentence and keep his history of child abuse quiet during his incarceration,IICSA?

I'm finding Tony's post rather confusing.
Is he suggesting that Darren Laverty and the "Darren" mentioned by Exaro are one and the same?
I recall reading Twitter timelines back in the day and as far as I'm aware, Darren Laverty was physically abused while in care but not sexually abused.
The "Darren" mentioned by Exaro made multiple claims of sexual abuse.
They are two different people.

Today Darren Laverty has been informed by his solicitor that all charges against him have been dropped.

The case had, unbelievably, been listed for a FIVE-DAY hearing in Kingston-upon-Thames Crown Court beginning on Monday 19 June.

But, as I predicted elsewhere, the case has been dropped basically because the two complainants in the proceedings, namely Sonia Poulton and Esther Baker, came to the case as witnesses with anything but clean hands.

Evidence of Sonia Poulton's history of malicious and threatening tweets, anti-Semitic rants, and clips on her own website of her shouting and screaming at the Duke of Edinburgh that he was a paedophile and at Tory Minister Ian Duncan-Smith that he was a paedophile and much other damaging material would have been placed before the jury.

Similarly, Esther Baker purports to be a victim of child sexual abuse - but her ramblings about being serially raped from the age of 6 on Cannock Chase by assorted Lords, MPs, vicars and 'police officers in uniform' etc. are generally not believed by anyone except the discredited ex-Exaro News reporter, Mark Watts. Moreover, her troll-like behavior and rants on Twitter and Facebook would also have been placed before the jury.

Watts was a strong supporter of Esther Baker and Sonia Poulton on this matter, as was anti-McCann ranter, Ben Thompson, who has been promoting Sonia Poulton a lot in recent months.

It is another dishonourable chapter in the recent history of Sonia Poulton, who has only ever done harm to the cause of the truth about what really happened to Madeleine McCann.

One aspect of this case which will now be followed up, possibly by the Independent Police Complaints Commission, are complaints against a Metropolitan Police Officer, Vicky Allen, who is known to be close to Sonia Poulton. It is alleged that she may have been guilty of acts of misconduct in her actions in this case.

Quite why the Metropolitan Police and the Crown Prosecution Service ever got involved in this case in the beginning is a complete mystery, let alone why they spent about a year and - literally - hundreds of thousands of pounds pursing it.

Perhaps Mark Watts will tell us why?

In the light of the Poulton's latest update on documentary progress, I'm wondering if perhaps she is in negotiations with the Australian outlet that presented the recent 10th anniversary Madeleine McCann Mystery extravaganza - featuring one ex-Met Police DCI with tales of dodgy dealing in the operation of Grange?

On the off chance that former Exaro News editor in chief, Mark Watts. doesn’t report this development – good news today as we learn that the spurious criminal allegations of stalking against blogger and former North Wales child abuse victim, Darren Laverty and blogger Simon Just made by wannabe celebrity germalist and internet troll, Sonia Poulton and, Exaro witness and serial vexatious complainant, Esther Baker, have been dropped by the Metropolitan Police.

I can reveal that it is highly likely that the CPS will now inform the former Member of Parliament that Esther Baker accused of sexually abusing her as a child, that there is no case against him – as will others that Esther Baker has made allegations against. This begs the question, was pressure put on the CPS by the officer in charge of the Met investigation into Darren Laverty and Simon Just, who I will not name at this time as she may now come under investigation by the IPCC, not to make public the CPS’s conclusion with regards the former MP who was investigated by Staffordshire Police? This may sound far fetched but I will remind readers that the CPS were asked to make a decision on this politician over a year ago. I can also reveal that the officer in charge of the Met investigation contacted Greater Manchester Police and attempted to persuade them to drop a case made against Esther Baker following a complaint by a head of a charity and so it doesn’t sound too far fetched to venture the possibility that the CPS decision regarding the former member of Parliament had been delayed because it would undermine the credibility of Ms Baker.

I can also reveal that as many had suspected from the start, shameless attention seeker and professional victim, Sonia Poulton, had already been in touch with broadcast media outlets, including the BBC, about her ‘story’ of being a victim of stalking. Ladies and Gentlemen, anyone who has followed Ms Poulton’s online activity of bullying, intimidation, and trolling over the last 5 years would have known that this was likely one of Ms Poulton’s primary motivations – to play the victim and relaunch her haggard media career.

Esther Baker and Sonia Poulton are linked by their close friends Graham Wilmer and convicted troll James Royden Jones which brings me to another very interesting piece of information which has arisen as a consequence of this woeful saga. It would appear that from very early on, soon after the Jimmy Savile revelations, James Royden Jones who set up his Outlaw blog in November 2012, was supplying ‘intelligence’ information regarding victims of North Wales child abuse to North Wales Police – the police force that would see one of their most senior former police officers, retired Superintendent Gordon Anglesea convicted of the sexual abuse of minors in 2016.

James Royden Jones of North Wales [friend of Sonia Poulton, attended Brenda Leyland inquest along with Anne-Kristine Westwood] who appeared on Channel 4 news falsely claiming to have been a resident of the notorious Bryn Estyn children’s home and to have erroneously witnessed, now deceased MP, Sir Peter Morrison, visiting the home, and who has spent the last 5 years stalking and hacking victims of North Wales child abuse and campaigners, and has a criminal conviction for this stalking, was all the time providing ‘intelligence’ information on the very same victims and campaigners to the very police force at the centre of the appalling abuse allegations. To this end, and despite not being a witness to North Wales abuse, Mr Jones even became a witness to the independent investigation run by Operation Pallial.

In my own view, it is high time that the IPCC look into the activity of North Wales police with regards to Mr Jones and also take a good hard look at the officer in charge of the Met investigation into Mr Laverty and Mr Just.

Hi Waynetta,Thanks for your posting on the case being dismissed against Mr Darren Laverty on "Stalking" charges,but who was stalking who,what with Sonia's past rants and intransigence to MP's being involved in child abuse allegations?

Quite why the Metropolitan Police service had to become involved in this case against Sonia,Esther and Darren is one for them to answer,but there again,we're talking about sexual abuse allegations by all Three persons against the "Establishment", so who better to protect them?

Perhaps it was the Operation Midland allegations,that the Metropolitan Police had investigated,that involved the previously named person's being unsubstantiated and compensation being paid by the Police force needed their expert guidance to this new case?

If there is No Trail,there's Nothing to Expose is there?
Being cynical,Damage Limitation process completed,"Nothing to see Here,now move along people"?

Firstly, I am guessing that the MET would be involved due to there being threats against Royals or they were passed information from intelligence? I don't know if any of the names mentioned above were under the jurisdiction of the Met. If they were outside of the remit of the Met then I guess my first point(s) may be valid.
There are police forces (a few) around the nation with a direct affiliation to intelligence. I also know there are a few police forces that are aware of some goings on (past and present) with certain names mentioned.

However, I will say this- For the record.

There are some people who believe they are telling the truth and they know the truth about historical crime and cases ect....
What I am concerned about is the growing number of people who believe that murder has taken place because of a cover up over abuse. To tell people that a BBC presenter was assassinated due to paedophiles is too much of a leap of faith. That is a seed that should never have been planted in anyone's mind. Especially the abused.

I don't know if the seed was planted to try and make people (abusers) talk but there are parts to puzzles that don't always come together even if you try and force them to fit.

Anybody trying sick or cruel tactics belong behind bars. I'll make sure of that.
