Yes I know MontyHeck

If I were the parent of a missing child I would be devastated if my friends wouldn't assist in a reconstruction, in which any little remembered detail could assist the the PJ in finding my child, or help prove my innocence.

Yet the McCann's appear very understanding towards the rest of the tapas group. How much more likely is it that they have told the McCann's in no uncertain terms not to expect any further help from them in covering up what happened?

The only other explanation for them all not to go to Portugal would be that they believe the McCanns, or they themselves, would be arrested in Portugal, but, with the world watching, would you put that consideration before the chance of finding out what happened to a friends little girl? If they had nothing to hide then it wouldn't be a problem.

Yes, it does look that way, but why so fearful of arrest? The Paynes didn't appear to fear arrest when they stayed on after the holiday to assist the McCs. Other group members didn't seem to fear arrest when they returned in summer 2007 to finger Murat, or when an assortment arrived in PDL to stage the McC's documentary. Fiona Payne didn't seem concerned about arrest when she flew to Lisbon for the Amaral case hearing, and the McCs themselves remained in PDL for several months in 2007 and have subsequently returned on numerous occasions without apparent concerns regarding arrest. If there is a concern about arrest, then it appears related exclusively to the requested reconstruction as any return to Portugal in general does not seem to present much of a problem to the group.

I think (I may be wrong here) but in Portuguese law each party is required to pay their own costs regardless of the outcome. Can someone confirm that?

I don't understand ANYTHING about law but I found this online : "Besides the expense of usual processes, those who lose a case in court will have to pay a share of the attorney's fees of the opposing party.Whoever loses an action shall pay the lawyers of both parties" http://legalices.blogspot.pt/2006/12/quem-perde-em-tribunal-paga-ao-advogado.html (portuguese page)
That was similar to what happened with Amaral regarding the Leonor Cipriano case "The lawyer Marcos Aragão Correia and university professor António Pedro Dores were acquitted yesterday, the Court of Faro, the crime of defamation action brought by a former judicial police inspector Goncalo Amaral. The defendants were also acquitted of the claim of € 3,000. This second report made to it by Leonor Cipriano. The court found that António Dores "had no knowledge of the report" and that Aragão Correia "acted in pursuit of legitimate interests, convinced that the testimony of Leonor Cipriano was true at that acquitted both defendants." http://www.cmjornal.xl.pt/detalhe/noticias/nacional/portugal/amaral-perde--e-paga-custas

Exactly.
They have to show an actor how to
Get in
sedate 3
select 1
turn her round
exit
in the dark and in silence,
within 1 minute and 20 seconds.

The problem is writing the screenplay for the actor, and demonstrating how they want him to do it.

I'm thinking that someone skilled in the art of sleight of hand could be called upon to play the part of the "abductor".

You know the sort of thing, someone's chained up in a crate suspended in the air and, within a minute or so, the crate explodes and the person reappears unharmed somewhere else.

I wonder if David Blaine's available at the moment?

It takes someone versed in smoke and mirror tactics to know another......

I can't remember but have any posters been put up in Great Britain over the years at holiday time, in supermarkets shops, libraries, pubs, in fact all public places appealing to any holiday makers? Of course the poster would have to have the owner / manager permission to put them up, I presume the same would apply to public places abroad. Have they when on their travels, or any of their family or even their so called powerful friends ever gone into a shop ect and asked to put up a poster I doubt it, lets leave it to the guilible public to do the work for us and keep the money coming in. IMO this is just one big con to help them build up the coffers again.

The most recent enhanced image purports to show Madeleine aged 6. She is now 10.
Why have they not bothered paying for another one ?
Ah, yes, PAYING. That might be seen as a waste of money.

So who are the public looking for a 3 yr old, 6 yr old or 10 yr old, just mudding the water's again, they are still allowing the photo of Madeleine aged 3, why aren't they pushing the age progression photo to the public, maybe they think she's not has pretty in that photo, Madeline at 3 is always the predominant photo in the newspapers then it's like an after thought to add her age 10. How much would it cost to photo copy hundreds or thousands of Madeleine age 10 using the money which the public have donated to pay in the search for her, they won't do that though too busy lineing their own pockets.

I actually thought that enhanced image showed a 10-year-old, sooner than a girl of 6.

Snipped from the Daily Express article

She (Kate) wants tourists to put up “present-day” pictures of Madeleine, who vanished in 2007, in resorts across the world."

Now I think Kate needs to help us holidaymakers out here. Where are we supposed to place them? How does Kate place the posters of her daughter on her travels? Perhaps she can give us some tips on how to overcome any objections we may encounter.

In our holiday resort whilst relaxing with our family are there ten top tips from Kate as to how we can spend a few minutes away from our 'self-indulgence' and approach local businesses, airports, hotels etc with the posters of Madeleine? Should we hand them out on the plane?

I know, why not a beach bag with the updated photo!

Beach towels could have the picture as well.
Vigilante groups could patrol the beaches and beat up anyone who was foreign or swarthy, or who had spots, or no face, or who limped or muttered or smelled of garlic, or spoke in a funny language.

Are these photo's (£1.75 for a holiday pack of various goodies) self-adhesive? or should we pack a bit of double sided sticky tape?

We know the car stickers are self-adhesive - Nina, a well respected member of this forum who donated to the fund Limited Company (in Spain) put one in her car and had her car daubed in marker pen. Has Kate suffered the same on her travels?

Which particular paedo suspect will be featured on bags though?

Perhaps they could all be featured and the idea would be to collect them all - like those Star Wars and Jungle Book stickers my son used to collect, ending up with loads of the same and missing a few that couldn't be found anywhere.

I wonder how many products have been bandied around in the McCann Company meetings.

The bookmark (Harry Potter - J.K. Rowling) was a one-off wonder. Cuddlecat - well that was a step explored imo. There's been no particular support from Branson who could have had Madeleine related product galore doled out on flights. There's no FREE Madeleine posters stuffed into the Sunday supplements on the eve of Brit holiday season....

Just thinking aloud.

She has a flaming cheek expecting tourists to do what she didn't do.

If and when she proactively stands outside Travel Agencies distributing Maddie's age-progression picture, then maybe she can be taken seriously.

Not wearing a T-Shirt with Maddie face on, Kate?

Not carrying posters to be fly posted everywhere, Kate?

Two DIFFERENT days in her recent trip to PDL!

Seems like NO posters being carried, ready to be plastered everywhere, or wearing t-shirts with maddie as a three year old being worn by either Hubbard or little 'miss popular'!

SHE didn't put up a SINGLE poster, during her 'visit'!
But expects 'mugs' er, holiday makers to, and actually PAY her for the priviledge!

aiyoyo Today at 3:40 pm

Did Kate carry Maddie's age-progressed picture for distributions when she went on her bewk promotion trips or even her latest trip to PDL?
Did she stick Maddie's picture all over her luggage, hand carrier, and every piece of bag she was travelling with?

?
If too bashful to personally put up posters during her recent PDL visit, couldn't some of those faithful friends in the village KMcC went to see have gone round on with publicity materials on her behalf? Did even the faithful Mrs H fail to volunteer to be once more of service? Could she not have simply stood outside the church and held up one of the posters for even a short time if no-one else were willing to display them. Nothing like the personal touch.

Or is the truth that the crack PR team simply didn't think of co-ordinating the PDL visit with the launch of the summer 2013 campaign? How very strange when one is apparently trying to raise awareness via holiday makers globally, one apparently overlooks folks living or visiting Portugal, only the place where "it" all happened, after all.

Anyone wishing to purchase the holiday pack or Madeleine products from the findmadeleine.com website will have to register with Google Wallet. Only payment option I can see. What happened to paypal?

Anyway, Google Wallet info from Wiki

Question for Ma Healey. Why don't YOU go to PdL to put up these posters for your missing granddaughter with the same brazen attitude you gave to the TV presenter in the interview you gave which has recently been discussed on this forum? Come on, march in there and MAKE the hotels, cafes, shops, taxis etc put up these posters. Will you do it? Or am I pi$$ing in the wind?

Nothing like the personal touch.

the phrase 'why keep a dog and bark yourself' springers to mind but dogs are notoriously unreliable. British holidaymakers can help in the hunt for Madeleine, says Kate McCann Sunday Express 2/6/13 - Page 4 110921

The "do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do" theme runs through the whole McCann thread. It's the same with people they think have questions to answer. Kate refused to answer 48 police questions yet urges people to speak to their PIs and the police.

As we said a long time ago, A "hellish Lair" within 10 miles radius from PdL, which is what their Private Detective has said, and a position from which TM either directly, nor through Mitchell, nor through any of their highly paid lawyers, has ever resiled - so we assume this is what they believe - because this is what the are telling us. . .
gives us a total area of
10 x 10 x pi = 100 x 3.1214 = 312 square miles

But half of that is in the sea, so we have 150 square miles.
Within that area is PdL, Lagos, several more villages, two golf courses, and a lot of agricultural land, and then some hills.
Since the "hellish lair" must be out of town, as it described as being with the "lawless hinterland" and therefore away from roads and settlements, and nowhere near a golf course, we may suppose that the area to be searched is perhaps 50 square miles. Probably much less.
A helicopter with heat seeking equipment could cover that very thoroughly within two days.
The search for April J's remains covered far more ground than that in 6 months.

Are we surprised that the McCanns sacked him. Hellish Lair Chloroform man
