Kate
asked me to let those who have ordered from the online store to know
your orders will be going in the post in the next couple of days. She's a
couple of weeks behind due to being away. If you have any questions,
just Email me at Webmaster@findmadeleine.com. Ta! ~FM Webmaster
This is utterly appalling. Really.
If there is no one at SY capable of recognising that this is an out-and-out sham then the place should be shut down.
As for the so-called 'pros' (i.e. those that support the parents to the exclusion of any concerns about the fate of poor Maddie), can they not see that the McCanns are simply rubbing their noses in it?
Absolutely unbelievable.

Who looks after the twins when Kate is away ?
Oh, sorry, they are nearly 8 now, so can obviously look after themselves.
Re: British holidaymakers can help in the hunt for Madeleine, says Kate McCann Sunday Express 2/6/13
It's hard to believe that anyone is still ordering tat from the site; even the most devoted groupies can't want an endless supply of wristbands, posters or whatever.
Kate was of course supposedly in PDL in early May so, bless her, that will have disrupted her busy schedule. She must be finding it hard to cope with the orders flooding in now that her fun-loving friend Karen has given up her administrative role.
http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/karen-mccalman/15/3a9/801
Originally she said she stopped "working" for the fund in December 2012 but she's now backdated that to August.
PeterMac, the twins were 8 in February so no need for minders now!

Here is ways to help the McCanns search for their daughter - taken from their website findmadeleine.
'Ways you can help'
No.1 in the list - first word.....wait for it....DONATE
http://www.findmadeleine.com/support/ways-you-can-help.html
I'm editing to add the intro paragraph (it's so detached from normality imo)
Many people have been deeply moved by Madeleine's abduction and
subsequent separation from her family and have asked us how they can
help us in our search to find her.
Below is a list of suggestions which you may wish to
consider in order to help assist our efforts to find Madeleine and bring
her home.
We really appreciate your help with this difficult task.

2 . Fundraising: This is a good way of getting people together, maintaining awareness of Madeleine's situation as well as raising money for Madeleine's Fund. For further information, please see ‘Fundraising' section under ‘Support' tab.
And: These events have further highlighted Madeleine's plight as well as bringing many people together to have fun whilst working towards one common goal.
We would be grateful if you are considering fund raising that you do not refer to Madeleine's fund as a registered charity as it is not. If you are embarking on a type fund raising which may carry an element of risk you may wish to consider your position regarding insurance cover. If you require further information please refer to:
http://www.institute-of-fundraising.org.uk/Codes_and_regulation/Codes
I have no comments...
Edited to add: FUN??? Your daughter is MISSING! FUN???!!!

May as well read:
Give us your dosh right now! Failing your willingness to hand it over via donations, read on and you'll see items you can purchase from us direct that may help you find our child. We'd like to give the tat away free since it might help locate her, but from the moment we neglected and lost Madeleine, we've always felt our money and time are more precious than yours!

As PeterM pointed out, some people have handed over money, may have already gone on holiday and not received the goods needed to highlight Maddie's disappearance whilst they have been away. Missed opportunity indeed for Maddie.
would it really have been impossible for a family member or friend to send out any orders whilst she has been away?

Last year I've seen complaints from people, having ordered and paid and not being delivered. IIRC they were wooshed ...
So
- is Kate the webmaster?
- does she pretend this webmaster is talking on behalf of Kate?
- is Kate responsible for administration?
- and for delivering the goods?
- has she been away for a couple of weeks?
- where has she been?
- no offense meant, but ... rehab? ... facial surgery clinic? ... holiday without the kids? ... with whom? ... and where? ... and why this time no press coverage?
- questions, questions ...

I think she's falling down on the job as her "information gathering form" appears to be broken too. Methinks Kate needs to sharpen her programming skills. Still I'm sure anyone with any information will wait patiently until she cracks that coding. She's probably busy working on the missing merchandise and getting it to her customers. Never a dull moment.
Happily everything seems to work for the various donate buttons so at least they can get the money in.
And lets play fair, donations are taken free of any charges.

How could anyone exploit the suffering of a daughter and turn it into a business/marketing opportunity? Why is there any need to sell "merchandise" when the hard working people of Britain and Portugal have funded the search for justice for Madeleine and will continue to do so? I have used the word suffering assuming Madeleine is still alive and "findable"

Is it really true . . . Can it really be true . . .
That a once respected General Practitioner, sometime Junior Registrar Anaesthetist, is now stuffing envelopes with crappy plastic wristbands and hopelessly out-of-date photos of a little girl who died just over 6 years ago, for £1.45p a go !
[Sorry. Wrong information. I have just checked and the the wristband is NOT included !]

Wrong information indeed. It's GBP 1.79 ...
ETA you're right, though. IMO the little girl indeed died just over 6 years ago

Must have been sorry the cuddlecat plan bombed out. Mustve been expecting millions pouring into their coffers from sales. Cunningly advertised by Kateat every opportunity in the early days until the cadaver scent discovered on it by the snifferdogs!

Who set up the "no stone unturned" fund in the first place? Who still supports it now? Who has withdrawn their support and why? I would be interesred to know the answer to these questions.

Harriet, here's a link to a report on the fund which will answer your question as to how it was set up.
http://www.mccannfiles.com/id405.html
I don't know if there is any information about who does or not support it now.

Thank you NFWTD hope you don't mind me using your initials. I don't know anything about company law, but surely it has to register its income which must include donations and income from benefactors. Otherwise might there be a risk of it being used as a tax avoidance scam?

This is a very odd request as well:
http://www.findmadeleine.com/support/ways-you-can-help.html
3. Wear a Madeleine wristband or T-shirt: Again this will increase awareness and contribute towards Madeleine's Fund, as well as being a show of solidarity.
Why should they need to show "solidarity" ?
Maybe this is why they called it a fighting fund - against all those unbelievers.

Has anyone seen K or G or any of their family sporting a T-shirt recently? I don't recall seeing them in their many media interviews/tv appearances wearing one.

Tee-Shirts - Gerry's Blog entry for 4 June 2007 - 32 days after Madeleine's disappearance
Busier day today with travel arrangements for Berlin and Amsterdam finalised. Leaving tomorrow night and coming back Thurs afternoon. It will be a
very busy schedule similar to Madrid. On Thurs night there
is a music festival in aid of Madeleine in nearby Lagos which
we will be attending. Tonigh, we were interviewed for Crimeatch
which
will be shown on BBC1
tomorrow night. This was a very good opportunity to recap on all the
information which is in the public
domain and re-emphasise
the appeal, especially since the description of a suspect seen carrying a
child was released by the
Portuguese police after
the initial British appeal. As well as some reports from Crimewatch,
you
may see a picture of me
in a green and yellow find Madeleine t-shirt in tomorrow’s paper. The
t-shirts were brought
over by Phil and later
on I thought better about wearing it around the resort she was taken
from. I am sure all the people
who have chosen to
continue their holliday
here, rather than take an alternative
location, know about
Madeleine’s disappearance and don’t need a further reminder.

It is a new religion, PeterMac wasn't joking and as Aquila pointed out, they don't wear the T-shirts. The rubber high-quality wristbands are the only items they are seen with from time to time. T-shirts with an out-of date photo on it are for marathons.
The frequency with which the iconic photo is still published everywhere makes me think that the public have proved to have a Pavlovian reaction to it.
See the photograph, buy the paper, donate.
