I see what you mean, it looks almost like a drawing of a bird. In itself nothing weird imo. Seaside, children playing, drawing on a rock or just scratching it.
For me it's just Maddie's head on top of a two and a half year old's body imo. Proportions are different again in the ice cream photo, head is a better size for the body but no way can you hold a full ice cream cone by the tip like that, another paste.
I ran out of excuses for the McCanns when I learned that those pictures appeared on the 8th of May. Two to three days to hurriedly do this? Makes more sense without hurry. (4th was too busy imo, so 5th, 6th most likely to do or have this done? Would have to be at Belfast Telegraph by the 7th to make up the page. imo they were ready earlier).

And yet the pool picture, the very "last" picture, wasn't released until weeks later.

Re: McCanns Easter break Donegal 2007
The nannies were shipped out/sent away before a picture of 'Maddie' aged nearly four was made public.
The first pics, handed to the GNR the same night, procured by Gerry McCann depicted a far younger 'Maddie'.
How come none of the nannies commented on that?
See the creche thread, it's another piece of the jig-saw.

I wonder whether the PJ when analysing the deleted photos on the camera asked if there were any of Maddie during the holiday. I understand the tennis photo wasn't on the camera either. I'll have to look it up. I am certain that Amelie was pasted in there and my guess is that the original photo is from an earlier visit to PdL, say September/October 2006, when Maddie would look right for her age and the weather could still be quite hot as is seen in the photograph. Pasting Amelie in at 2 yrs old firmly puts the photograph in the holiday.
So possibly by the 8th to 10th of May the PJ may have wondered about the lack of holiday snaps of the family. Woolfall from Damage Limitation (Control risk Group?) or some such outfit went through the pictures with Kate, discarding many according to Kate. I believe some two or three days after the 3rd.
My guess is that this thorough examination of the camera wasn't expected, hence the elaborate pool photo saga, which even has the right/wrong time on it.
Whoever did it, was adding in a 'clever' time to prove Maddie was alive on the afternoon of the 3rd. But they assumed that there was an hour's difference, which isn't the case. So I think the 2.39 was supposed to prove she was alive at 3.39 in Portugal on the afternoon of the 3rd. The day that Maddie changed clothes rather often.
So the pool photo:
Proved Maddie alive on 3/5 at about 3.39
Proved a good time was had by all.
Proved it was uncommonly warm for early May (slight problem there with the book, where Kate thinks she needed a cardi on top of the dress)
Proved that snapshots of the holiday had been taken.
Proved that it had been taken with the camera which the PJ analysed (although it wasn't on the memory or in the deleted photos - it supports my theory that it was taken some 6 months earlier, stored on computer and then deleted and overwritten by other photographs).

@tigger
I sincerely wish someone, NSY, PJ or one of the journalists that were entitled by Portuguese law to the files, as on that DVD, would look into the "unscrambled" holiday pics.
As they appear on that DVD they are worthless.
There and then the police had no reason to scrutinize them.
Madeleine is on some of those pics.
How I'd love to see them.
In my opinion they could help us, the police (and even the McCanns)
to understand what happened to whom and why!
To anyone concerned, please go and have a look at those pics, now safely shelved in that courthouse in Faro

@tigger
Once again I must disagree with you about Donagal photos.
Beach photo - you are not seeing Madeleine's neck at all. It's her pink t-shirt/top that looks like part of her neck which makes it look a bit strange. But if you imagine the pink top slightly twisted and pulled up, and the collar of her grey vest turned up behind her right ear, there is nothing wrong with this picture at all. In the ice cream picture you can see the collar of her grey vest has white trimming which I believe is the bit of white showing next to her chin. You can see how twisted her vest is in this picture.
She was supposed to be small for her age and is sitting behind Sean. If you look at Amelie you can see how much smaller she looks compared to Madeleine. Also if you look at Madeleine sitting in front of Sean in the ice cream picture, she looks a whole lot bigger. So even if you believe that her face was pasted on in both of these pictures surely you will accept it's the same girl's body sitting at a different angle and distant to the camera and relative to Sean.

Re: McCanns Easter break Donegal 2007
Apologies if this question has been asked before but there are too many pages to go through. Does Kate talk about the Donegal holiday in her book? I was under the impression that she did - I have a memory of a quote that it was her first time there, which contradicted other reports that the whole family went there regularly.
All I can find at the moment is on page 42 where Donegal is listed as just one of the places where the family had been to in the past.
It will be interesting if the alleged penultimate holiday is not mentioned.

That's all she mention about that Holliday in her book page 42 and mention it two times in according to Gerry's family. That's all I can find about donegal in the book and that Holliday .

Majorca is barely mentioned anywhere else either. The Donegal holiday and the publicity there was however top of the list soon after 3/5. How else would the Belfast telegraph have all the quotes and photographs around the 6th/7th?
Now I would have thought that Donegal would have had it loud and clear from many other sources, I doubt that the Belfast telegraph knew about their Donegal trip before that time. So somebody thought they should tell them.

I certainly feel that the intention was to promote the family's supposed Irish connections to make the story (and I do mean as in fiction) more appealing to the good nature and generosity of the Irish people.

I'm resurrecting this topic as "thetruthbeknown" has mentioned a trip to Ireland in another topic.
An Easter 2007 visit was supposedly made to Donegal but there's a lot of doubt about that.

Indeed, highly debatable. I'm in the camp that doesn't believe in this massive get - together that Easter. No Fate Worse Than De'Ath wrote:I'm resurrecting this topic as "thetruthbeknown" has mentioned a trip to Ireland in another topic.

My brother's sister-in-law has a second home in Donegal, she has seen them there on holiday on a couple of occasions (they were staying next to her). She said one time they were there they were with another couple of doctors.

Well having read through..and knowing recent developments, I can understand why they would want a strong and solid connection to their 'Irish' connections for support.
They did seem to like holidays with 'others' Rather than personal 'family' based holidays :/ Did they ever just go away with just their own little personal family?

The article says "Gerry and Kate McCann and their twins Sean and Amelie have been enjoying a family break in Dungloe." My brother's sister- in- law's house is nowhere near Dungloe and Donegal is a very big county. So either the paper has got it wrong or they have been back to Donegal on a number of occasions staying in Dungloe one time and in the other location the other times.
