For Paulo Sargento, the thesis that Gonçalo Amaral revealed at first hand to "SP" that the blanket could have been used in a funeral ceremony at the Luz chapel "is very interesting".
And he adds: "In reality, when the McCanns went to Oprah's Show, the blanket was mentioned. At a given moment, when Oprah tells Kate that she heard her mention a blanket several times, Kate argued that a mother who misses a child always wants to know if she is comfortable, if she is warm, and added, referring to Maddie, that sometimes she asked herself if the person who had taken her would cover her up with her little blanket (but the blanket was on the bed after Maddie, supposedly, disappeared!!!).

ROSA - would you source your photo, please?
MBM's top does look similar to the one she was wearing in some of the Donegal photos.

Yes, this looks like she is hanging on a play toy, her fringe is just the length, she would maybe push it back with hair band, and looks like the picture of that family near to bar gate we have been talking about. joyce1938

Rosa, just supply the link to the site where you have taken the photograph from, then you are covering yourself.ROSA wrote:How do I source it ? thanksLadyinred wrote:ROSA - would you source your photo, please?

What strikes me most about the egg-roll picture, is how small Madeleine is. Compare the heights of Sean and Amelie - they are pretty much identical. Now compare Maddie's height - despite being slightly further back, she is clearly shorter.
Also, look at the widths of Amelie's legs compared to Madeleine's. Maddie's legs are quite a bit thinner.
Just my observations.

Although it looks loke the same top, the smaller photo appears to show blonde hair -the larger and the Donegal ones seem to show brown hair. Compare the hair colour to Amelie's, for instance...

Yes compared to all the children and the adults she is appears to be very small, look at her tiny face.Lance De Boils wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Re: McCanns Easter break Donegal 2007
Yes, Nina. She looks too small. As you say - it's even more obvious when you look at the size of her head compared to the others.
I know she's slightly further back than Amelie, but not THAT much further back!
Aside:
Interesting that these photos were apparently loaded up on 30th April. The Monday of the PdL holiday. Wonder if there's any relevance to that....?

I have a HUGE problem with "Maddie" in this picture because that's clearly NOT Madeleine!Lance De Boils wrote:[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

And this picture doesn't seem to be from the same day as the others because only "Maddie" has the same clothes, cousins and Sean clearly have different clothes , Amelie has pink socks instead of white.
No way the sun and shaddows and whatever changed "Maddie's" hair from blonde to total brown when Sean and Amelie are still blonde.
So I have no theory about this discrepancy but I don't see the Madeleine we all know in that picture.

I agree with your points.
Notice MBM's right hand in the photo above, it looks as if an extra thumb is growing.

I think she was double jointed look at the angle of the thumb in relation to the other fingers and her palm. Doesn't really mean anything though.Ladyinred wrote:@Anyiia

I know that about the finger it's odd yes, a lot of things are odd in that picture,in the ice cream pictures, there's the picture with the "gap" in the arm but this one, no way that's Madeleine in my eyes/mind.
So who the hell is that wearing Madeleine's exact clothes?!!!
I think that picture was never intended to be posted and someone just "missed it" between all the others. To me that picture is really important somehow !

The original image can be found on the Facebook page of Paul Cameron , Madeleine's cousin, there is also a photo of some of the family including Uncle Tony.

As is so often the case with TM photos, the head angles are very awkward, especially Amelie, Madeleine and the older boy. I would go as far as to say that the older boy's head angle and upper torso is at a position that is incompatible with his lower body. The position just looks 'wrong'.

Re: McCanns Easter break Donegal 2007
Just seen this thread now and I don't live to far from St Johnston even tho I would not be familiar with the area I have been there on a few occasions and Crolly I know extremely well but I have never heard of the McCanns visiting either place or having relatives there but of course they could have. I was told their relatives came from a place called Glenties which is another small village but larger than St Johnston and Crolly. I will try a little digging on that and get back if I come up with anything of interest. I could be wrong as it was so long ago when Madeleine disappeared but if my memory serves me correctly the rumour mill said it was Glenties that the picture was taken of Madeleine and her cousins but it will try find that out.

Just to add Glenties would be a coastal town with many inlets and beaches with a very tourist feel about it and St Johnston as far as I know would not be coastal or have that same air apart from passing through visitors.

Yes Sallypelt that is Joe Peoples pub formerly known as the Mcanns. I believe he is the owner now but will give the pub a ring one day (only the price of a local call I think I'll stretch to that)
In regards to questions being asked about the ice cream picture in Dungloe and the different flower boxes, we have here in Donegal a yearly tidy towns competition where the locals gather to paint and plant the flower boxes and generally keep things tidy. Hope that helps.
Not sure if the members are aware of this but Donegal has its own small airport called Carrickfinn its in a place called Kincasslagh. (Danniel O'Donnels town land in case we have any member fans) The usual flights were generally over and back to dear old Glasgow town and Dublin and they did have flights scheduled to London but I believe they stopped them but what year I will have to check. Carrickfinn airport would be roughly 20min drive from Dungloe depending on how many tractors you have to pass on the way and Crolly another roughly 20min drive from Dungloe so they are all in the same area, Burtonport 10min from Dungloe. The airport offers car hire also so they could have hired the car there or perhaps they came in via Belfast as it was written that they visited the bar on their way back to Belfast airport. Hope am not confusing members just trying to give you an idea of the area. If you were in Dungloe and had to drive to St Johnston then that journey would take a good hour an a half maybe a little more. Generally if you were driving to Belfast airport from say Dungloe you would head for Derry, St Johnston kind of puts them out their way but to be honest not very much, I believe they would just go through via Stabane.
Also I read an obituary for the St Johnston area where there was an anniversary mass for an Eileen McCann however it did not give details of anything else.
Going off topic a little, if any members are aware of the littlest girl Mary Boyle who was assumed abducted over 40 years ago, she is Ireland longest missing persons case and she went missing in a town called Ballyshannon in Co Donegal and I watched a new utube video about her disappearance this evening and there are some things very similar in her case to Madeline. No way am I assuming they are connected however the same story was she really abducted and the cover ups are starting to finally break through. The English newspaper the Guardian had a headline accusing the Irish mainstream media of covering up the facts of the case and pot kettle sprung to my mind.
