The PJ were heavily criticised for their leaks during the original investigation. Perhaps, they've learned their lesson.

When will people realise that in truth we live under the NWO and the one -eye....There is no real conservative v labour, or socialists v democrats....Its a game, punch and judy show. They are in reality on a one world mission of a NWO. Ignore or ridicule this at your peril, I am beginning to see why they think like they doroy rovers wrote:roy rovers wrote:It would do Theresa May's political ambitions no harm to see this case 'solved' on her watch. I think Kate went to Algarve around May the 3rd and she met Mrs. Hubbard. According to myself it was not a coincience or only to pray together.
Once Amaral said: "the Anglican priester staged everything" and I think the Hubbards could fear the Met police.
Possibly Kate and Mrs. Hubbard had something important to talk about.
The corpse?
Was the body hidden in their home near the church, between two walls, like stories of Edgar Allan Poe? Or under the floor?
If it was, the PJ must know it.

ShuBob, it is not a matter of the PJ learning a lesson. I believe that it is an agreement between both polices. No leaks or they will get millions of journalists in Porto, Portimao, Praia a Luz. They want to work in peace.
Besides the Yard took the case over, journalists can knock at its door.
What a relieve must it be for the PJ.
And the Portuguese media are waiting for a breakthrough, from England.

Thats all true , but as i stated, to hide in plain sight is a great skill , Saville [ reference from my last post ] acted the fool to draw attention from himself [ he actually had a genius IQ ] . Gerry has an inherent arrogance about him and his decision to go all statesman has eventually backfired , thus your last point about the unexpected visit of CPS lawyers , must be an absolute bombshell .suzyjohnson wrote:A few comments tonight relating to why the government has now decided to act in this case, and suggestions that it's because the McCanns have got too big for themselves, angered too many people. I think it's less complicated than that, I don't believe individuals within the current government took too much interest in Madeleine's disappearance, assuming, like many in the Uk, that the McCanns had been cleared of involvement.
When the McCanns requested a review (which, guilty or innocent, they have to do in order to be seen to be continuing the search) I believe the government asked SY in good faith to look into the case. Once SY did that however, they have encountered the same inconsistencies as the PJ. For their part I think the McCanns fully expected that a review, if any, would reach the same conclusion as the Portuguese, that is 50/50, not enough evidence either way of the parent's involvement or abduction. At which point they would have said, well we tried everything.
I think the outcome of the review was unexpected for the government and, at the same time I think, never in a million years did the McCanns expect to see CPS lawyers travelling to the Algarve and the SY authorised to continue the investigation in the Uk.
Control freaks / sociopaths will crack under pressure . [ Shipman did but was saved by his sc@@@ag Lawyer ] if / when he is questioned he WILL crack , its Him NOT her who IMO will be the weak link . She is a hard faced Scouser [ and probably the cause of all this ] no change for the Police there IMO .
I suspect Murat will be part of all this too , he will have to explain his whereabouts etc first . [ and they had better be good or he could still be in for a rough ride .
But when that little hurdle is overcome , i guess there will be co-ordinated raids .
If any of the Tapas lot had any sense they would come clean now , the first to do so probably will be let off with a caution unless .....
interesting times . all IMO of course .

Re: Scotland Yard takes over the inquiry into Maddie's disappearance from Portuguese plus *UPDATE* CPS lawyers fly to Portugal
I had a short sleep and I came back to my computer. I am excited, expecting Theresa May's statement, I can't sleep. I don't believe that she will say that the Met took over the investigation
because we know it already. And we know also that a prosecutor lawyer has been in Algarve in April, a proof that the investigation is already in the hands of the Met.
I hope that she will announce that the case is solved, suspects identified, etc., and that they are being interrogated.
Can you imagine if she tells that the suspects come from Tchad?
Citing Andy Redwood, "everything is possible".

Maybe SY review did take Mr. Lee Rainbow's advice and look at the inconsistencies in statements.
They could not hold a review of the case and not interview the Tapas crew, especially with Mr. Rainbow's advice being in the files, could they?
I am back to being optimistic again. lol.
Up and down case this is but I agree with most here who think this is the endgame.

ShuBob wrote:The PJ were heavily criticised for their leaks during the original investigation. Perhaps, they've learned their lesson.
They didn't have to say anything. Why should they?
What they did was internal routine review of a cold (shelved) case.
They did not publicly announced an Official Review at such and such a budget, thus no accountability to theTaxpayers in the same manner as the MET.
It's the MET show through and through.
The Portuguese wisely left it to the Yard detectives to do as they deem fit - announce their progress, how they want to progress, whatever.
It is a live Review cum Investigation for the MET, but NOT for the PJ because they did not formally reopen the case.
Without doubt there is a certain close level of cooperation between them, else the MET could not have progressed on their own without sharing data , intelligence and expertise.
When you think about it, it is logical for the PJ to leave it to the MET, because they came to an impasse due to obstacles from the main players and those obstacles will come into play again if they reopen on no new evidence.
With the MET it will be an entirely different ball game, besides MET are the ones given budget for it.
Dont be surprised when the case is solved the Portuguese will have their say, and will get equal if not more credit for it.

I have no doubt the end is nigh and fear factor in certain quarters is at all time high!
If there's any concern it should be the strength of the case.
The fact that TM has not come out to speculate about which paedo**** from their PIs list that the CPS could be looking at speaks volume.
What's betting the Press has been cautioned by Court to report with restraint while Review/Investigation is ongoing.
So far the Press managed to prepare the people with the key words albeit interspersed amongst a whole load of trash.

Just suppose for one moment that this is going to be a whitewash.
Way back in 1997, days after Madeleine went missing, the general consensus (at least here - among family, friends & co-workers) was that the parents were involved at some level - at the very least through neglect.
Then real life intervened and most of us lost interest and forgot all about the McCanns.
In my case, the McCanns strong-arming Amazon and Pat Brown made me uncomfortable then I thought their reaction to the sighting at Leh was off somehow so I started researching.
Slowly but surely, the McCanns themselves have been making more and more people suspicious. If they had kept quiet and kept their heads down, they'd be home-free now with only a few "internet nutters" to contend with.
If this is an attempt to whitewash, it will only make things worse because the McCanns can't stfu!
All in my opinion of course!

They were photographed and the photo handed to a press agency, who released it on 8 May, as the search for Madeleine continued. The McCanns held up these same pyjamas at two press conferences on 5 & 7June 2007. How could Madeleine have been abducted?"

SY need to get a result like exposing the mccanns if they are to gain any shred of credibility back, the little they had is now completely lost after Stephen Lawrence. This is the only small 'ray of hope' the right thing will be done

No, this case has to be concluded IMO, if it was going to be a whitewash it would have been done and dusted by now.
Plus David Cameron and Theresa May would welcome the boost to their political careers if this was solved on their watch.

scotland yard takes
we have to thank Rebekah Brooks for having manipulate the McCanns to put pressure on Cameron. She knew Kate's book had exhausted the issue, nothing more to be told, and while the parents were putting pressure on him, she put pressure on him too, in order to put the Yard in the case. A terrible trap.

An honest conclusion to this case (nowadays) will very much depend on WHY the Home Office pulled out all the stops to prevent the McCann's being exposed in the first place! Depending on what was behind the dodgy help, exposing the non abduction could be more damaging to the likes of the Home Office, Met, CEOP, NHS, FSS etc, than continuing on with the whitewash. After all, it could be years - if ever, before the truth emerged, and the lesser of two scandalous evils may be keeping all heads down, and continuing down the corrupt review/abduction path.
I'm still hoping that some irrefutable evidence prevents this whitewash from reaching its dodgy conclusion. There has never been a better time for whistle blowers in the UK, than at this very moment I feel. It would be superb if someone from the defunct Birmingham FSS steps forwards with some important information regarding the McCann case, or the 'soothing couple' are the link to busting it all wide open.

Almost from the beginning, I never had any doubt that this "abduction" went far deeper than anyone had or has imagined. This isn't just a case of a three year old going missing on a night in May 2007. There's far more involved. This is HUGE, and I hope above all hope, that we will get to the bottom of it.
