192.com is a website which provides details of people on the Electoral Register. You have to subscribe to get more information, such as the actual address in Leicester and any County Court judgements.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

I would think that, judging by the vast number of people who have been registered there in the past, this is perhaps a student hostel or hospital staff accommodation.

I agree it's weird that everyone there now has a name beginning with A!

Could you run the Queniborough address (The Mews 14) through the site?

Looking at the astonishing array of tennants: isn't it time someone started to ask questions to their local MP or newsrag?

Which address is it anyway? Since when does it exist?

A safe house?

I'm sure that people in a safe house wouldn't advertise their existence on the Electoral Register.

I still think that a student hostel or hospital staff accommodation is feasible.

The house was let out to students, I remember reading it somewhere. Sorry, can't remember where.

It's done by name Portia. A person can request 192 and all the other sites offering the same service to remove their name. Anyone can also ask 192 to disclose who has paid for a search on them.

Going back to the topic of addresses. Thanks to jd for finding the following:
Was doing a search on the Mccanns to see what I could discover about their change of address, when I came across the name 'Madeleine Mccann' (age guide 26-30) as listed as being on the electoral role in 2010 in Leicester. Weird enough, but look at the number of other occupants listed as living at the same address:

Abigail J Barrick
Abhijna Parigi
Adam Naismith
Adebowale Adegun
Abigail M Poole
Adam P Maycock
Abubakar Abdullahi
Abhar Ahmad
Aaron Daniels
Abigail Dede

Notice all the names beginning with aa.. ab.. and the Abigails!

but then, if you search the name 'Mccann' a bit further you'll notice a 'Giles Mccann', on the electorical role in 2009 in Leicester, with the following names also recorded as living at the same property:

Abigail Rutherford
Alex Thomas
Ajaya F Bhogal-Todd
Abigail K Byrne
Aaron Shapter
Alex J Mccawley
Aidan Wong
Abigail Ferrier
Alarick Stewart
Adam N Parker

another 3 Abigails, and the names all starting with 'a'.

Can anyone shed some light on what they think is going on here?

Another weird thing is, when you search 192.com on any one of the (many) other occupants past or present, the other names all seem to come up as occupants except Madeleine McCann!

There is only info on one other Madeleine McCann, in Hertfordshire which is not this one on this entry. And only 3 others in London, though I suspect it is the same one moving houses

We know the address of this property "Madeleine McCann" in Leicester and it is near to the Leicester Royal Hospital. Obviously first thoughts are nurses etc staying there but there is no information to be found on any of the current or former occupants I have searched on (except possibly one, a showbiz reporter), its like these occupants do not exist. There is no history on the property either, just a council tax registration Class B

In all my years of using 192 I have never ever come across 2 entries like this....ever. We have 2 entries of McCanns in Leicester (one in the name of Madeleine, what are the chances), no info on the current or former occupants from any of the ones I have looked for, no history on the house...the current listed occupants all begin with the letter "A" on both of these McCann entries and also even more bizarre both have 3 Abigails in the current list of occupants...with no information can be found on any of them

I hope the police are investigating this

This is the list of former occupants, I won't space them out as it will too long and take up too much space

Is there a difficult issue about stating clearly which address we are talking about in all this?
If it is open to public scrutiny, I can not see why it would be difficult.
The only reason I ask, is that it is a little bit confusing to an aged brain, as to exactly which address is being referred to.

Yes, please. This surely is not the posh Rothley address? So which is it?

And, sorry to repeat, is it possible to run the same check on the Queniborough address: The Mews 14?

Glad I wasn't the only one Dr What. I thought it referred to an ex address of the mccs, which would have been LE7. Instead it seems this house was stumbled upon LE2 while searching, with far too many occupants to be feasible and all registered as voters.
The only non criminal explanation I can offer is occupants are not removed from 192 records.
For instance, I have friends living with my local MP, except they don't, he sold them his house, but he hasn't been removed by 192.

Sorry but I don't quite understand where we are going with this. So there is someone by the name of Madeleine Maccann (age 26-30) living somewhere in Leicester. What's it got to do with Madeleine who went missing over 5 years ago aged 3? And what is the point of publishing the names of people registered past and present at the same address as this person?

"The only non criminal explanation I can offer is occupants are not removed from 192 records." Yes this is true as well. But look at just how many have been registered at this one sole property. And where so far none can be found anywhere that can be remotely related to have ever lived in Leicester. And aligned to entries to 'McCanns' in Leicester, one in the name of Madeleine

We could do with more Tardis-like properties like this one to solve all the housing problems in the U K!

I don't think that this has anything to do with the infamous McCanns - but it just seems that everything relating to the name is weird.

If you want to get to the bottom of this JD, could you not contact 192 by email, not mentioning any names, but simply ask how so many are registered at one address? Their contact details are on the site, doesn't seem you have to register.
ETA, you may have uncovered a social security scam.

This is  a wide-ranging topic but I thought I'd put it here as it concerns both phone records and possible use of a car.

PJ files  054 -056
OUTROS ASPENSOS PDF FILE 13
Pages 54 to 56 James Russell  O'Brien

gives details of  MO and ROB's phones alerting other masts apart from Luz and the timespan which makes it likely they had the use of a car on the 7th of May.

I've lifted this from the Huelva trip topic so as not to go off topic there.

Good point Chatelaine.
Which (although slightly off topic) is why it's so strange that one of the alleged lessees of the Scenic at the end of March (K Walkden) states that he drove a Renault Megane of a dark blue colour and then totally agreed with the officer that it was a light grey Scenic.

Not withstanding the colour discrepancy, the Scenic is a type of Megane

Most men can tell you the model of a car in my experience. Women aren't bad at it either.

Walkden must have had another car. Paterson gave the car back at 823 and Walkden would have rented it the same day at 4945km?

Exactly!  Why (if you read the rogatories - sorry cut and paste is hard on the iPadmini) did the officer correct Walkden  when he'd just said it was a dark blue Megane?

Who confused the Scenic with an Espace?

I've always seen rather sporty looking Meganes whereas the Scenic is more a family car?

Yup -the Scenic is a bit bigger inside than the Megane proper, and I think you can get extra seats in the Scenic.
The Megane used to be the old Renault 19 and about the same size inside -we used to have a Renault 19. Nice car -too small for big dogs and grandkids!

There's an interesting piece about the "Elephant man" on the BBC website, today. But the reason I am posting this here, is what the article says about bleach and DNA. The McCann's, being doctors, would know all about bleach and DNA.

This is the paragraph that I found interesting, but I've posted the link for those who want to read the full article

"This represents a significant problem. On a number of occasions over the years the skeleton has been bleached during the preservation process. Bleach is not a good chemical to expose DNA to. It gives us an added problem in trying to extract sufficient quantities of DNA in order to undertake sequencing."

As I remember it, it was an extended Scenic, but still not something that could be mistaken for an Espace.

Bumping this topic up for new posters to the mccann facts....This one caused quite a stir in the troll stakes, obviously was getting too close

gerry mccann had 2 passports in May 2007...used his old address for the car hire (also this old address was in his stolen credit card wallet, not his current address)...and many more anomalies
