Yes thinking about this scenario gives a shiver down your spine! Over the last few days I’ve watched quite a few video clips of the duo, I’m sure on one of them possibly a Lorraine Kelly interview she says words to the effect, You don’t expect someone to take a child from your bed, I’m going to have to find it again I don’t think I imagined it or misheard

It sounds like something Kate would say, blaming everyone but herself. Didn't she wish that someone had told her earlier that the Algarve was awash with paedos?!

I don't believe that she doesn't know everywhere is awash with paedophiles - her own profession is. Beaches full of children in swimming costumes are one of the main attractions. But yes, everybody else is to blame. Including Madeleine with her powerful vocal range.

I agree with you pinkgladioli that Kate looks very odd or uncomfortable when she's talking about the song, Happy and You Know It. Why does she even have to say the name of the song? Is it to make a lie seem plausible ie she's a wonderful caring mum and she's attentive to the night routine when really with a clapping song she's revving Maddie up before bed. Maybe the singing and clapping is to see how the sedation is working as you and cakelover say.
Don't know whether this will post correctly/correct place. I'm not great at this.

I agree with what various statement analysts say that giving too much trivial information as to what supposedly happened before a major event such as a reported disappearance, is a red flag.

Let's say that my son wasn't in his bed in the morning (thinking of a current case, Sebastian Rogers) and I reported him missing. All I would say about the night before was that it was uneventful, no need to say what a perfect day it had been, doing this, that and the other; that is irrelevant.

Apologies I’ve now found the video clip I referred to on a previous post I made this morning just to say it wasn’t and interview they done with Lorraine Kelly it was one made to BBC breakfast the presenters were Bill & Sian
at 2.35 minutes KM says the following below-

Is it right for someone to go into your apartment and take your child out YOUR bed.

I note she doesn’t say Madeleine was taken from her own bed,

Richard Branson and other wealthy business offered an enormous reward for information about the 'abduction'. So did a newspaper, I forget which. I don't know if the McCanns mentioned either of these. But nobody claimed them. Fancy that!

I always thought that M fell asleep in her parents' bed (I see that BS thought that too) and that they took her to hers when they came home, because having 3 children fall asleep at the same time (without disturbing each other) in the same strange bedroom would seem difficult to achieve.

I agree, there is no way 3 children in the same room would fall asleep without getting up to mischief.
I wonder if that's why Kate said Madeleine was very tired and asked to be carried home after the high tea.

From GM’s 4th May statement

Yesterday after their daily routine, Madeleine and the twin’s went to their bedroom and were placed in their respective bed’s and he stresses they were placed together ( i.e. in the same bedroom) at about 19.30

On 2 May K was angry because of the quiz girl the day before. Moreover, G left the bar without consulting her. She (says she) wanted to get revenge by sleeping in the children's room. Did she see that M wasn't in her bed (she likely didn't turn on the light so as not to wake the children)? Or did she notice but think that G hadn't moved her into her bed? IMO In any case, they didn't realise that M had died until the morning.

Believe me, doctors are no fools, they don't sedate without a major reason. I think the twins were sedated on May 3, which would be the abduction discovery night, to erase their memories, because they must have caught things on May 3 morning.

It could be that just the twins were sedated on May 3rd but on the other hand, what would be the reason to do that.
They couldn't tell anyone anything they saw or heard because they didn't have full speech skills yet.
Madeleine was heard crying by Mrs Fenn for an hour and 3 quarters on Tuesday 1st May so she wasn't drugged up then.
Also she awoke and slept in her parent's room one night, so she wasn't drugged up then.
And on the morning of 3rd May, according to Kate, both Madeleine and Sean were awake in the night because she told us Madeleine said " where were you when we cried".
So 3 day's out of 5 she was awake in the night.

It wasn't the morning of May 3, but of May 2 that M made the comment (if you admit she was dead on May 3 morning) concerning the night before (the one Pamela F heard a child crying and calling Daddy).
Lee Rainbow wanted the twins to be questionned. Precious information was provided, with lots of patience and experts, by Rachel Nickell's son (2).

Rachel's son was a month off his 3rd birthday and was apparently very bright but I agree that the twins might have been able to give useful information.

How do you want to interview 1-2 years old toddlers, who can barely speak and express themself? But I can imagine that the twins heard sth. in a conversation between Kate and Gerry when they were older. Didn't Sean ask Kate if they hid Maddie's body? He has no contact to his parents anymore.
Another question: How reliable is the old lady from the apartment above? I still believe that Maddie died earlier (Sunday,Monday).

Sean is supposed to have said that he heard an item about Madeleine's disappearance when he was on the school bus, and the radio was on. That's if you believe his mother, though.

It probably involves showing pictures, and asking the child to draw their own idea of what they saw. I presume leading questions are the only type which could be asked, given the age of the children. All open to interpretation imo.

Where have you heard that Sean is not in contact with his parents now?

The twins were 2 years and 3 months old. My son at that age never stopped talking!

Yes, Mrs Fenn died some years ago, I can't readily find when. I can't see that she would have any reason to lie.
