The latest McCann suspect: Scotland Yard has revealed vital new information about a suspect wanted in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Just seen Brunt on Sky News reporting from Portugal on this. He describes it as 'An Alleged Crime With No Suspects At The Time'.
How much longer can they keep coming up with this sort of nonsense. It's just ridiculous.

A paedophile suspected of abducting Madeleine McCann is alleged to have performed a sex act in front of a young girl a month before the Brit vanished.

Christian Brueckner, now 43, is alleged to have exposed himself to a 10-year-old German girl when the youngster was on holiday with her family in Portugal's Algarve in April 2007.

The following month, Madeleine went missing from her family's holiday flat in Praia da Luz, just days before her fourth birthday. Her body has never been found.

Brueckner, a German drifter who was living in the Algarve at the time, is suspected of abducting and murdering Madeleine, but German prosecutors have admitted they do not have enough evidence to charge him.

German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters, who is leading the investigation against Brueckner, told Sky News that his office is looking into whether the paedophile committed other crimes in the Algarve.

He is suspected of masturbating in front of a girl, who was with her family, at Salema Beach, about half a mile from Praia da Luz. The alleged victim is now 23 and has spoken to German investigators.

Mr Wolters said: "In this case of 2007 he is suspected of showing himself in a sexual, offensive way in front of a 10-year-old German child on a beach.

"I cannot say exactly if he was masturbating in front of the child or if he has just shown himself naked.

"In Germany that is a sexual abuse of a child - and that's why we are investigating. But he is just a suspect, we haven't charged him, so I cannot say anything about how this investigation will end."

In a separate interview, Mr Wolters told Portugal's RTP TV that Brueckner was "suspected of masturbating in front of the girl".

Brueckner is aware of the second investigation, as the files have been sent to his lawyer, said Mr Wolters.

The original investigation was closed without a suspect.

However, it was re-opened after the girl's mum contacted police when Brueckner was named the prime suspect in the McCann case earlier this year, Sky News reported.

Brueckner has denied any involvement in Maddie's disappearance, his lawyer has said.

The paedophile is in a prison in Kiel, northern Germany, for drug trafficking and raping a 72-year-old American woman in the Algarve.

He was jailed for seven years for the attack and 21 months for drug trafficking.

The rape occurred about 18 months before three-year-old Madeleine, from Rothley, Leicestershire, vanished from her family's flat at the Ocean Club complex in Praia da Luz on the night of May 3, 2007.

Her mum Kate and dad Gerry had left her and her 18-month-old twin siblings Sean and Amelie sleeping in the apartment while the parents went for dinner with friends at a tapas restaurant nearby.

Brueckner is alleged to have had a 30-minute phone call outside the apartment building shortly before Madeleine went missing.

Mr Wolters previously said a phone allegedly used by Brueckner pinged on a mast at the Ocean Club.

Brueckner, then 30, lived in the area at the time, and police claim he was a drifter living out of a VW camper van when Madeleine went missing.

The paedophile has twice been convicted of sexually abusing girls in his native Germany.

Police in Germany have yet to investigate a second hut once used by Brueckner in Braunschweig.

I suspect as soon as they start digging there some English speaker will confirm it for the Forum, or you can get a German speaker to tell you.

At the moment the Residents are surprised that nothing has happened there yet. Just a No Flying Zone has been ordered.

Rather odd that this news didn't make the headlines everywhere - for three months now, the gutter press has kept bringing every small detail about CB and his life as breaking news, but this news went by rather unnoticed? Weird. However, the most probable explanation is that it's of course just another red herring and they actually haven't found anything. As we already know, the search in Hannover most probably wasn't even in any way related to the Madeleine case.

He didn't even say he (CB) did it, that was just how it was reported in most of the gutter press - he actually said he's sure he did it, so he actually doesn't know anything for sure and just deemed hin capable of doing it. And if he's so sure, how come he's only telling it now and not 13 years ago?

Including Bild, the German tabloid affectionately known by the English speaking German fraternity as .... 'Bilge'.

It is the equivalent to the UK gutter press, such as The Sun and The Daily Star.

Christian 'he whom shouldn't be named' Brueckner is not the prime suspect, or any other form of suspect, in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.  Gerry and Kate McCann are the primes suspects until such times as evidence emerges to say otherwise.  There is clearly no evidence to suggest Brueckner was involved. 

No wonder they distanced themselves from the garbage rather than yelling from the rooftops - and Netflix.  It suits their purpose.

If the German police are investigating Brueckner's possible involvement in other crimes then okay, get on with it but connected in any way with Madeleine McCann - it ain't!

This is scam reportage.  As always the intention works and the good old gullible public believe what they read.  Thank goodness the gullible are the minority - either that or they just don't care, as long as it's gossip.  In which case they are of little or no importance.

Is he finding that piece of evidence which will link the German individual to whatever crime he's supposed to have done? Or didn't he have enough evidence to say that Christian Brueckner killed Madeleine McCann?

I don't know what they think they are doing by keeping this nonsense in the media, but this will only lead to a dead end. There's only so much you can do before running out of scapegoats to fill in the shoes of the people who were responsible for Madeleine's disappearance.

The parents and their group of friends need to be investigated again. The German suspect hasn't been charged because they have no solid evidence what a farce

2nd video - An Australian sort of documentary, snatching bits and pieces from reportage over the years. Some months ago another Australian documentary was televised. It was grossly edited and gave a very false impression of the case of missing Madeleine McCann.

3rd video - An English speaking German news outlet. Have you seen the reportage of the case by the English speaking Spanish news outlet, the Olive Press?

In short, all media reportage no different from the UK media reportage - misleading, inaccurate speculative sensationalism - what they don't know they invent.

Still, it's had the desired effect, it's got the spin whipped up into a frenzy again. Exactly what has been over the past 13+ years.

So no, the information does not answer any questions.

And if they know this, and they are saying it was shortly before Madeleine disappeared then they know the time that she was taken from the apartment?

Lets start with "The night Madeleine disappeared", many of us now believe that it wasn't and therefore Madeleine had gone 4 days before the call was made.

The McCanns and their friends also made calls during the holiday, but as we know, they deleted all their mobile phone data.

I don't think you will find there was any withholding of information on the family/friends before they went on holiday.

Routine international policing protocol would be adopted. The authorities have no option but to cooperate if specific information is requested.

So much of this misinformation is the product of media speculation and internet gossip.

There is also confidentiality to consider, specific information relative to financial status, health issues or any other strictly personal information would be excluded from the documentation published in the public domain, which opens doors to more speculation.
