An employee at the resort where Madeleine McCann was abducted may have watched her family and passed information to Christian Brückner so he could burgle their apartment, reports suggest.

Portuguese police believe that an alleged accomplice told Brückner, the prime suspect in Madeleine’s disappearance, that the family had left valuable items in the ground floor apartment where the three-year-old slept with her 18-month-old twin siblings. Their parents, Kate and Gerry McCann, were at a restaurant in the Ocean Club complex.

Brückner, 43, a German rapist and child abuser with a criminal record, bragged to friends that he was “making thousands” from burgling rental properties and hotels on the Algarve.

Yesterday Correio da Manha reported that an ex-employee provided information to Brückner about the McCanns’ routine and telling him that they dined outside the apartment with friends.

It is unclear whether Portuguese police have identified a specific person or are simply pursuing the theory because they regard it as credible. British police have said for years it was possible Madeleine was abducted when she disturbed a burglar who panicked.

Witnesses have described seeing a man matching Brückner’s description monitoring the Ocean Club complex in the days before Madeleine’s abduction in May 2007. Some witnesses believe he may have had an accomplice who was driving a van similar to his VW camper.

British and German police have focused on Brückner since 2017 when he is said to have confessed to a friend in a pub after Madeleine’s face appeared on television during an appeal.

Police have placed him in Praia da Luz the night the toddler disappeared. He received a phone call from an unknown person beforehand. He changed his Jaguar’s registration the next day and moved to a remote village 40 miles away where he used a different name.

In the months before Madeleine’s abduction it has been alleged that Brückner allegedly used drugs to coerce children into sex at Barao de Sao Joao, a “hippy commune” with a large German population five miles north of Praia da Luz.

One woman claimed that Brückner used drugs to coerce girls into sex. “That was an exchange of favours,” she told TVI news.

Police believe Brückner was living an “itinerant lifestyle” sleeping in his VW camper van or staying at the homes of people he befriended after being released from a Portuguese prison five months before Madeleine’s abduction.

He returned to Germany in late 2007 but made regular trips back to the Algarve. In 2015 he sold the VW T3 Westfalia camper van to the German owner of a scrapyard three miles from Foral.

Brückner had arrived in Portugual in 1995 after fleeing a jail sentence in Germany for the sexual abuse of children, and lived in a rented farmhouse on the outskirts of Praia da Luz. He was jailed in 2006 for theft.

He fled to Portugal again in 2016 while facing prosecution in Germany for sexually abusing a child. He was extradited in June 2017 and spent 15 months in jail. He was already a suspect in Madeleine’s disappearance and was watched around the clock, according to Braunschweiger Zeitung.

Brückner nearly slipped away in Milan until he was brought back to Germany for a drug sentence. He was convicted in Germany in December of the 2005 rape of a 72-year-old American woman after breaking into her villa half a mile from the McCanns’ apartment.

That's obviously conclusive proof then! Not that the church warden has been ill or run out of candles in these difficult supply times.

So far we know they haven’t even talked to Christian Brueckner they haven't even questioned him on Maddie because they are still trying to put together more and more of the pieces so they can put pressure on him and maybe get a confession from him.  Because so far they are certain that it’s him but it’s not enough to prosecute him.

Well there is lots of very critical pieces of evidence that put him in the direct vicinity of the crime but also apparently he has talked about what he has committed 13 years ago to other people and that is something investigators have pieced together in the past two years. 


This investigation has secretly been going on since 2018, and we have learned from one person who, from what we know has been questioned by authorities, that she has been in an argument at a small news stand that Christian Brueckner used to run here in Germany selling newspapers, and chewing gum, and cigarettes, and they got into a discussion about the Maddie case and he boasted to them that.. he basically freaked out and said he doesn’t want anyone to talk in his little news stand about that case that that girl is dead.


And this is a quote -  “and this is good, that people will never find her again because there are ways to make human beings bodies disappear.”


And the police from what we understand has talked to numerous people has looked at …has checked protocols.


So, I think they have a kind of indirect confession from him that also includes insight, that only the actual murderer of Maddie -  they’re treating this as a murder investigation - that only the actual murderer of Maddie McCann would know.


But so far again this is not enough…the Chief Constable told us yesterday – that this is not enough yet to successfully charge him and then prosecute.

I';ve been following too for 13 years and always thought that the routine checking either didnt happen, or happened much less than claimed. I came here to see if there was any more detail than what i can find publicly. 
Having read from page 1 to page 4, most posts were sceptical and offensive to the UK Govt and the Mc Canns and there were some theories involving the 'illuminati'...As the updates continued, more posts were about actually considering this guy.
Then this post here went up. I have the benefit of hindsight as im at june 8th..page 18 or so..but i came to this site to see if anyone had an explanation of how CB did it, if indeed he did. He certainly seemed to be in cl;ose areas at the same times as several child disappearances as well...I read that when the eyewitnesses saw CBs image they said 'thats him..thats the man i saw'..
So did he indeed walk in straight after, or even during his call?- and the caller was the point man?..
I think the caller watched to make sure he was not discovered, somehow. 
CB may have woken her and killed her. before taking her with him. (out the window?)

Approximately 180 cm tall, thin complexion, 30/35 years of age. Short hair, like shaved with 1 cm of length and fair, but she isn't sure if it was blonde because the sun was reflecting, and made perception more difficult. She didn't see the eyes because he wore dark glasses of black colour, with a structure of mass, a thick frame. He had a large forehead. Nose of normal size, a bit pointy and sharp. Large ears, close against the head. Mouth with thin lips, she didn't see his teeth. Chin pointing up, which stood out on a face that she describes as sharp. No beard, no moustache, a clean shave. No other special signs, apart from some small pimples on the face as a result of shaving. He looked ugly, even 'disgusting'.?

The suspect linked to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has been linked to three other murders.
 
German national Christian B, a 43-year-old convicted paedophile, was named as the prime suspect in the case of the three-year-old, who vanished in Portugal in 2007.
Christian B has also been linked by police to the disappearance of a six-year-old boy in Portugal in 1996 and a five-year-old girl in Germany in 2015.
Authorities in Belgium have also linked him to the murder of missing 16-year-old Carola Titze, who disappeared while on holiday in De Haan in 1996.
Christian B “freaked out” in 2014 as his staff at the kiosk-bar he ran discussed the Madeleine McCann case and then shouted: “The child is dead and that’s a good thing.”
Barmaid Lenta Johlitz, 34, revealed: “Once he was completely freaked out when we were sitting talking with friends about the Madeleine case.
 
“He wanted us to stop. He cried out, ‘The child is dead now and that’s a good thing’, then he said: ‘You can make a body disappear quickly. Pigs also eat human flesh’.”
Christian B is currently eligible for parole having served two-thirds of his sentence for drug offences - but German legal experts say it is unlikely to go through as he is under investigation for murder.

Police sources believe the insider had the suspect's old Portuguese phone details in his diary.

A Judicial Police source said: The theory shared by the Portuguese and German police is that the suspect panicked.

“The objective was a burglary, but he saw Madeleine and the twins and decided to take the eldest.”

Detectives have spoken to the British ex-girlfriend of Madeleine McCann suspect Christian B.

The mum of two lived in Praia de Luz when she dated the German paedophile in the 2000s.

She was interviewed at her current home in Lagos, Portugal, last year by cops investigating the suspect.

The Berkshire woman was spoken to again in recent days, The Mirror reports.

She currently works in a bar in Lagos, just six miles from Praia da Luz, and has agreed to give police a statement.

British cops warned Portuguese police that Madeleine McCann’s disappearance could be linked to a German-based child trafficker just days after she vanished.

The Serious Organised Crime Agency sent an urgent alert to their counterparts in the Algarve.

They urged those searching for Madeleine to look at links to a German sex offender whose surname was given as “Meissner”, but was known to use aliases. 

It also said he was linked to other paedophiles – one named as Frankel. 

A source close to the case said the details take on “huge significance” in light of the events of the past seven days.

Investigations into Madeleine McCann's disappearance have been ongoing for the last 13 years. 

After the initial inquiry, led by Portuguese cops, the McCanns hired private detective agencies to carry on the search. 

British police then took up the case in 2011, with a team of 37 detectives tasked with digging through old evidence to find new clues. 

One of the biggest breakthroughs came in 2013, when Scotland Yard found that Madeleine's abduction could have taken place up to 45 minutes later than had been previously thought. 

This gave evidence that had been previously ignored new weight, and led a new e-fit of a possible suspect being drawn up. 

Finally, in 2017, with just four cops working on the investigation, cops received a tip off about a German man who was in Praia da Luz at the time of the abduction.

KATE AND GERRY MCCANN 'COULD QUESTION SUSPECT'

Madeleine’s parents could question suspect Christian B if he was brought to trial, it was reported.

The 43-year-old, who is a convicted paedophile and rapist, has emerged as the prime suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Under German law Christian B could go on trial either in his homeland or Portugal.

If he was to be tried in Germany, Gerry and Kate McCann could also take advantage of a provision in German law allowing them to be co-plaintiffs – or Nebenkläger – alongside the state, says the Sunday Times.

This would allow them to put questions to the defendant themselves.

If it were agreed to hold proceedings in Germany, the trial would be in before three judges, assisted by two lay judges.

Though the proceedings would mostly in public, parts such as those relating to sexual abuse, could be held in camera.

The court is also able visit the scene of the crime.

Police received the tip-off Christian B could have snatched the youngster from her bed in 2007 after an appeal by British police on German TV in 2013.
A report was prepared for the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) by local officers in his home town of Braunschweig after the call was made.

An acquaintance who saw the TV appeal called in after remembering the 43-year-old from the Praia da Luz resort where Madeleine was snatched.
The report in Germany was reportedly ignored – meaning the child sex offender could have swerved a police probe as far back as 2013.
This was after officers in Braunschweig were told he was a convicted sex offender who had abused a six-year-old girl on a playground.

A German criminal lawyer has said it was “very unusual” Madeleine McCann’s disappearance is already being described as a murder case.

Steven Anderson said he accompanied Gerry and Kate McCann back to Portugal for a reconstruction of the events surrounding Madeleine’s disappearance.

SUSPECT 'LOST IT' WHEN DISCUSSING CASE

Prime suspect Christian B allegedly became angry when he began discussing Madeleine McCann, it was reported.
The 43-year-old convicted paedophile was revealed as a suspect last week when the German authorities issued an appeal for information about the toddler’s disappearance.
He ran the small shop selling drinks and snacks in the northern German town of Braunschweig between 2012 and 2014.
Lenta Johlitz, 34, who worked for him, told German newspaper Bild about a conversation they had about Madeleine.
“Once he totally lost it when we sat together with friends and had a conversation about the Maddie case,” he said.
“He wanted us to stop talking about it. He shouted ‘The child is dead now and that’s it’.’

I'm new but have been paying attention.
The McCanns notified the staff of their habits, one of the staff, or acquaintenace of one of the staff members worked with CB to arrive at exactly the time when no one would notice. this was coordinated on the phone. 
All of the debate about who saw what and when is bogus because they didnt have a rigid, regimented checking system. It was loose, or not there at all. 
All of that could be a great big mess because they all underestimated the detail needed to defend the premise.
Bear with me..im just trying to follow the facts, and try to entertain how it couldve gone down..can we weave in that M may have bee sedated..ok, not my choice of method but as a parent, everyone knows about phenergan. Its not child abuse thats for sure. Perhaps they were immediately worried about the circumstance and the look of kids found with sedatives, and being left alone for extended periods. All plausible i think. The dogs just arent reliable enough to be considered so have to proceed without answering about the dog's hits. 
IF the hits were genuine, then there are so many theories that can fit the facts.
It seems that wherever CB is, someone gets raped or goes missing..its a difficult circumstantial pattern to ignore. 
Based on the language he used in online forums..he really did have an evil thing for kids..and he had plenty of time to watch. He may even have watched many families looking for ones that had a pattern. 
Suppose that CB knew someone at the bar, who essentially guided him to the unlocked room.
He was seen in the villas on the day separate to the incident.
You'd have to think that the accomplice is complicit (for abduction and not robbery) in this case, which is probably why the person hasnt come forward. Its possible that there are 2 pedos..and maybe one of those other suspects is one of them..it seems most had been ruled out, but maybe a revisit in the new light would be worth looking at ?
perhaps one of them exhibited movements that couldve facilitated CB. Were any of them known to each other..yes..etc. 
Of course thats just the pedos we know about. The place could be full of them..like Santa Clara in LostBoys..i digress..
What happened next could be short, or, if the may 28th sighting is credible, drawn out for some *******  .that's 21 days with a sicko pedo captor if its true. 
The guy basically walked in and walked out. Everything else is red herring. 
So what happened next, i think, is the question..and does any of this strengthen the cases for the other missing children?

There is good reason why CMOMM require members to keep on topic, apart from being an investigative forum it is also a comprehensive reference source, which will hopefully remain for study purposes for many years to come - eternity even.  Think of it as a well organised filing cabinet, a place for everything and everything in it's place.

Aside from that, the forum offers a search facility.  I'm sure you will appreciate, if a member or guest reader is looking for a specific topic, their search is rendered useless if topics are jumbled.

I will indeed 'feel free' to move any post deemed off topic, I only ask that members respect the forum rules as far as possible - it's not too much to ask.  A slight deviation from subject matter is not a problem but a thread can so easily be derailed if not kept in check.

Someone should have a word with Mrs McCann about her comment in her version of the truth whilst running those " incredibly unreliable " dogs down she talks about how could they smell a body that had been removed so quickly !
