The Media reports suggest that Christian B may soon be linked to every unsolved crime in Europe! If responsible, he appears to break several criminal profiling rules with his wildly varying choice of victim and means of operating in keeping with rare abominations like Ricardo Ramirez. Though stories are conveniently emerging regarding his childhood that are wholly textbook; abandoned by his birth mother, cruelly disciplined (abused) by his adopted father, then abandoned again by his adopted parents. The Sun are running a story from a former classmate who describes CB as a "twisted loner" hated by the pupils and the teachers! I will not be surprised if it is soon reported that he wet the bed, tortured the family pet and set light to the "care" home he was put in, where he was, no doubt, sexually abused! If this man is not in fact a monster, the Press seem help bent on painting him so in the most cliched of terms. It will not surprise me that when the squalid shack's grounds are excavated unearthed will be the remains of Lord Lucan alongside Shergar.
If CB is responsible for all that is being suggested how has he managed to escape justice for so long? It appears he has been convicted of sex crimes against minors, yet time spent in prison for said crimes , as reported, has been breathtakingly brief.
He has been sentenced to seven years for the rape and torture of an elderly woman, but is appealing that conviction. He is incarcerated on a drugs conviction, not the rape, which most papers are repeatedly wrongly reporting. I am struggling to understand how a convicted rapist can have grounds for appeal when there reportedly exists video tape evidence of him actually committing the crime! Perhaps it is due to legal technicalities.
This man appears to have been breaking the law since his teens, he is a career criminal. The reporting suggests there is is not much, crime wise, CB has not committed. Why then, has this man been able to escape justice, for so long, been able to offend, across Europe? Either the German, Portuguese, British, and now Belgian Police are all wholly inept, or CB is either an incredibly lucky and/or brilliantly clever criminal. The fact CB has spent time in prison, and reportedly admitted involvement in MM to a third party, and reportedly shared incriminating video evidence to the same third party suggests he is not a criminal mastermind able to outwit four (to date) European police forces. Something stinks.
CB was a child once, a small child, abandoned by his birth mother, then abandoned again by his adoptive parents, actions which in some degree undeniably made him the man he is today. Monster, or fallguy, CB was "let down" by those whose job it was to protect him when he was a vulnerable child. How grotesquely ironic, supposing CB, is guilty of taking MM; a monster shaped by IMO piddle poor parenting, snatches an innocent made accessible, (for 20/25 minutes) by IMO piddle poor parenting! There's quite another possibility to consider.
If the theory is correct that (a) Madeleine died Sunday and that (b) Catriona Baker, the creche nanny, may have fully co-operated in a forgery of the creche records in order to 'prove' that Madeleine was alive throughout the week...
...THEN, it is probable that OC/Mark Warner senior management may have been made aware as early as Sunday night that Madeleine had died and therefore co-operated with the alleged abduction hoax.
If that is the case, then OC/Mark Warner would be well prepared for the moment when the McCanns raised the alarm on Thursday.
If anyone is skeptical about such a suggestion, please remember this:
1 Mark Warner was represented by the now-disgraced multinational PR firm Bell Pottinger, to whom the McCanns are said to have paid £500,000 'to keep Madeleine on the front pages for a year"
2 According to a Press Gazette article, the Director and Deputy Director of a Bell Pottinger subsidiary, Resonate, sent themselves to Praia da Luz (or were sent by a higher authority) the week before Madeleine was reported missing
3 Resonate say they went out there to do 'a routine audit'
4 But handily, when news broke of Madeleine going missing, the Press Gazette reported that the two top Resonate staff stayed on for a couple of weeks at least, afterwards, to "help with liaison between the British and Portuguese Police and Ambassadors" etc. (not exact words but something very similar)

It might have been "the woman in purple" from Bulgaria. There were lots of media stories about her: 'hoped-for breakthrough' etc. etc.

Last night, the dad of a third child, Rene Hasee, age six, also demanded answers – nearly 24 years after he vanished from a beach in the Algarve.
Andreas Hasee told the Sunday Mirror that police contacted him after Brueckner was named as a suspect, adding: “I have no doubt Maddie and Rene’s cases are linked. The police are looking again at my son’s disappearance.
“He was a lovely boy, my first child, and I will never get over what happened. I think of him every day and imagine what sort of man he would have been.”
Rene, from Elsdorg, western Germany, was on holiday with his family in Aljezur, 25 miles from Praia da Luz, when he vanished on June 21, 1996.
He had been running ahead of his mother and stepfather during a walk on the beach when they lost sight of him. His clothes were later found, and authorities speculated that he drowned in an accident.
Police in Portugal failed to carry out any proper searches of the sea for two days.
Andreas said: ”They were convinced he went into the water, but I know in my heart he didn’t. He was taken. The police investigation was not through enough and I see the similarities with what happened to Maddie.”
Last night, Mr Gamble – the former head of the National Crime Agency’s child unit –said Brueckner is a “driven sexual predator”.
He said: “When you’re tracking someone of this nature, what’s critical to remember is there’s never only one offence.
“The nature of these people and the way they are driven towards offending, you don’t get a one-off offender.
“You can see is he has offended against girls and against older women. So he has no particular preference, he is a driven and motivated sexual predator.
“There is a huge likelihood they would have offended there multiple times.”
International police forces are liaising as more evidence comes to light after Brueckner was unmasked as the prime suspect in the disappearance of Maddie.

The various Police Forces have known about Breuckner for years. IMO for what it's worth, if they had any real concrete evidence against him that could prove he was definitely there, how he got in, how he got out, how he did it exactly etc. then he would have been charged a long time ago. Bruntie keeps popping up and putting on his sad face, to tell us that the suspect Christian Brückner is not talking to detectives.
Of course he doesn’t have to. Germany’s rules are much the same as they are in the rest of the civilised world, and allow a suspect to remain silent, even demanding that the person be reminded of this during interview.
But that is not a bar to a successful prosecution. Far from it. It often makes the case stronger.
The English Police caution specifically warns about this
“You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence.
So how does it work in practice.

So an interview might go something like this. We can assume silence, or “No Comment” after each statement of question. After the introduction to set the scene, and explain what it is all about for the benefit of the recording …
“Have you ever been to PdL
Have you ever been inside Apartment 5A of the Ocean Club
Did you force open the shutters on the front window on apartment 5A
A mark was found on those shutters which exactly matched an instrument recovered during the search of your tool box in your presence. Do you care to make any comment about that.
You refuse to say whether you were ever in Apartment 5A. I have to tell you that your fingerprints were found on the inside of the window of the bedroom. Do you have any comment to make about that.
Did you climb in through the front window into the children’s bedroom.
I have to tell you that a footprint was recovered, and it is of the same shoe size as yours.
Can you tell me about the arrangement of the beds and the children in the room
And so on
The point is – you cannot do this without having some evidence to start with.
Just a scrap of evidence. Of something at all
A good interviewer of the old school could then expand that scrap into a full case.
But you do need a scrap.
And without even a scrap, a Confession is almost worthless
People confess to things they couldn’t have done all the time, which is why police use terms like “blunt instrument’, firearm, sharp instrument even though know exactly what was involved.
Because the only other person who knows is the offender.
And here ? They have nothing. Because there is nothing to have. Except bo***** statements about jemmied shutters, open curtains, closed curtains (same witness!), which the detectives know is simply not true.
Not to mention the insistence on an almost constant High Visibility foot patrol by 5 people marching up and down the street at regular intervals outside.
No wonder Brunt puts on his sad face.
Of course he doesn’t have to. Germany’s rules are much the same as they are in the rest of the civilised world, and allow a suspect to remain silent, even demanding that the person be reminded of this during interview.
But that is not a bar to a successful prosecution. Far from it. It often makes the case stronger.
The English Police caution specifically warns about this

2 JT to 5D - 9.10 Check on children - DID see Gerry talking to Jez Wilkins, saw Tannerman/Sagresman/Julian Totman. 9.10 - GM is now outside. They don't see her however.
3 GM returns to table 9.20 - Delayed by talking to Jez Wilklns, some of Tapas 7 say maybe switched on telly to look at Liverpool match
4 JT returns to table 9.25 - Having seen Tannerman etc.
5= ROB to 5D 9.30 - Check on his children, one of whom is very sick, puts the washing machine on to clean clothes and bedding
5= MO to 5B 9.30 - Check on his children, then speaks to ROB, then goes through 5A patio doors and up stairs to check Gerry's children, looks through door of children's room in 5A, not sure if he saw Madeleine, noticed 'a bit more light'
from this point it makes no sense at all, and may explain why they refused to do a reconstruction. It seems impossible
7 MO via 5A returns to table - 9.40 - at the earliest.
8 JT to 5D - 9.35 - To relieve ROB from caring for sick child This must have been 9.40+. MO visited THREE apartments and entered them all before returning
9 ROB returns to table - 9.45 - JT has got back to 5C to look after sick child so that he can go back and finish his dinner This must have been 9.50 at the earliest
10 KM to 5A - 9.55 to 10.00 - Check on all three children, finds only two. Alarm raised

2. A body can be said to be found but no Portuguese autopsy is allowed to cover up why it could not appear in 2007.
