My reading of the recent stories is that the media are being played to reaffirm the Maddie/Paedophile link. Its a Maddie story after all, so it sells papers. The parents claiming from the off that Maddie was snatched by Paedos was a huge red herring, and whilst stories like this are seemingly intended to cement the public thoughts, they are also backfiring on the couple. It smacks of desperation.

CF wasn't interested in 3yr old children, but his rampant sexual appetite is near enough to make the link in most peoples mind. No doubt in my mind CF knew Murat, and the 'scene' in the area.

A low class resort out of season packed with well heeled people, nearby properties used for sex parties, and everyone closing ranks. Someone like CF would be well placed to pull strings in a crisis.

Paedophilia NO. Sex holiday YES.

I want to agree with you re just sex holiday rather than Paedophilia, but my mind keeps coming back to the Gaspar statements, Yvonne Martin's recollection of David Payne, and the pair's insistence from the outset that she had been taken by Paedophiles. I can't think why they would say that unless to cover for an eventuality should her body be found.
The Gaspar statements stick with me the most because I don't think anyone could or would be persuaded to make a statement unless it was true.

One elderly British resident told us both she and a friend, a retired British woman detective, went to Portuguese police about a couple who rented the villa, which has its own swimming pool.

The resident told us:

“I used to meet up with the retired detective to walk our dogs down by the seafront. Both of us became concerned about a couple aged about 30 who rented the villa. What struck us was that they drove a very tatty, British-registered small red saloon car. It was one those vehicles you would normally see on a gypsy camp, not going in and out of a very expensive villa. We only saw them coming and going in the car and not walking about, which is odd given the location of the villa. We both got the impression they were trying to keep a low profile.’’

Anglican priest Paul Luckman, owner and publisher of Portugal News, said: “The location and description of that villa mentioned by your source fits the one that a searcher told me about. The searcher told me the villa was empty and somehow they got inside some weeks after Madeleine disappeared.

The search dog handler said the villa had a room with a kind of amateur studio with video equipment and cameras with children’s toys and pictures of children on the wall. He felt it was something to do with paedophiles. He told the police and they seemed to know something about it, but we don’t think they took it any further."

The Sunday Express took him to the villa and he confirmed that it fits the description and location of the one he was told about. Although we know where it is, we are not naming the villa for legal reasons as we have been unable to locate the owner. The British woman resident said: “I know the owner was contacted after we raised our concerns with the police. The person was angry because she said she did not know the people who rented it and was annoyed about being contacted by detectives. We heard nothing more about it. The day after Maddie disappeared the couple moved out and we didn’t see them again. There was an older woman in a very expensive car who visited them during their stay.”

Didn't the villa they are referring to in this article turn out to ce Casa Via Mar - which is NEXT DOOR to Casa Da Colina?

I know the original point of the article was to try and point the finger at Raymond Hewlett - but in light of new revelations?

Also, who was the 'search dog handler' if he wasn't 'the police'?

Also, most of the MSM will know this place is next door to the CF villa so it will only be a matter of time before they start running with it.

Thank you sincerely for your reply [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], I do understand why people would be drawn to thinking the worst. The Gaspar statements are indeed worrying (as is the CATS entry), but DP could have been mimicking, in disgustingly bad taste, what the adults did amongst themselves. There have been questions placed over the validity of Yvonne Martin and I dont believe anything was substantiated - happy to be corrected.

As for Maddies body not being found, I see that more for injuries through being struck and/or sedation, but Gerrys 'find the body' challenge suggests that the risk of that was probably zero.

A question.....

On the basis that OG knows what really happened, (and I have no doubt they do, irrespective of any initial remit), then would OG, with 30+ officers, people with children themselves, allow Maddies siblings and other children associated with the group, to remain in such a dangerous position ?

I think Paedophilia is a red herring in this case, but we are being conditioned to link it to Maddies demise.

It seems to me that no-one wants to explore the possibility of a paedophile ring because firstly it's revolting to consider and secondly, ordinary people don't understand the dynamics, the depth of depravity and the manipulation of anyone involved in a paedophile ring.

People simply shy away from delving into darkness for obvious reason. People shy away from looking at the dynamics of a paedophilic family for instance, because no-one wants to believe these things happen - and just to make things absolutely clear, I'm not accusing the McCanns of anything.

People don't want to believe that doctors, nurses, lawyers, judges, police etc could possibly be paedophiles and yet people know in their heart and gut that pillars of the community, pillars of our social structure, pillars of our establishment, pillars of the church, pillars of everything we trust in harbours paedophiles.

As regards Operation Grange, yes that is a difficult one. With all the information that they have, and they certainly have a lot more than we do, you would think that the twins would have been removed asap.
Perhaps at this stage it would present too much of a legal challenge to take them away. Still it's odd that even with the 'facts' present in the media, ie parents admitting neglect and effectively abandonment, that they haven't taken them away. They should have done so back in 2007 as soon as it happened. Shocking really.

The first article when this story broke, shone a light on the McCanns dodgy association (imo), which was very dangerous to them, particularly in light of the Gaspar statements and blood and cadavor dog alerts. This resulted in a TM rapid fire response look over there not over here, and before anyone had time to digest the full (shall we say) Gaspar aspect, it got spun off into oblivion by the man who lies with as many teeth as he has in his mouth.

I haven't heard of CCCleaner, but I have heard of CCleaner. It's a perfectly normal, free and widely-used junk-clearing program and I have used it on my laptops for years. It clears out a lot of the crap that would otherwise build up on your hard disc, including on the registry. I haven't followed the Robert Murat angle, but having CCleaner isn't in itself suspicious.

Frankly I doubt it - if this is a true image of the joint (posted up-thread by [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]), it's a bit conspicuous for discrete meetings of a deviant nature. Is that the "villa" in the distant hills?

The appeal is for information and thought it very distasteful at the choice of photos of Madeleine used when it first came out.
If you take it as it is, how my brain works... All the key features are there, even a "silver car" as they are walking towards the zebra crossing on the road. I could go more in depth but don't have the time at the moment.

Burgau pub-landlord trashes British press for latest McCann “lunacy”

Well-known Burgau pub landlord Robert (Rotten) Hurst has come out in print over the latest lunatic “revelations” in the British press linking his business with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann and recently-outed paedophile Clement Freud.

According to the Sun, the Daily Mail and the Daily Star, Freud was a regular at the Pig’s Head and he used to drink there with “former Madeleine McCann suspect” Robert Murat.

Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact Clement Freud only once stepped inside the Pig’s Head “over 20 years ago”, and Robert Murat similarly, “about eight years ago”.

It is hard to see which article is the most “factually ridiculous”.

The Sun’s goes furthest perhaps, describing the much-loved watering hole as a “pub for paedos”.

“It’s absolute lunacy,” Hurst told the Resident. “It wasn’t even an interview. Two blokes came in and had a drink, and then asked me a few questions as they were leaving.”

Reacting to the “exclusive” run by the Sun, Hurst wrote on the paper’s website: “As the landlord of the Pig’s Head, I can categorically state that this story is factually ridiculous. When asked if Clement Freud had been a regular in the pub, I told them he had been here once at least 20 years ago. Further, when asked about Robert Murat, I told them he had also been here once about eight years ago. How they managed to connect the two of them is another piece of nonsense… This kind of irresponsible journalism can do no good whatsoever for anyone. Heaven only knows what kind of feeding frenzy will be unleashed next year on the 10th anniversary.”

Hurst did, however, have one memory of Clement Freud’s visit to his establishment.

“He came in with a friend, who asked me whether we had any champagne,” he told the Resident.

“I said that we didn’t. He asked me ‘why ever not’, in a superior kind of way. I said because it might attract the wrong kind of clientele.”

Hurst claims “no one believes a word” of the latest stories, yet they even get a mention in national press today, under the headline: “Freud and Murat in the same bar.”

Considering the differing time-lines, this could be construed as ‘true’ if hugely misleading.

But the affirmations in all three papers that both men were on “nodding terms” appear as bogus as the claims that Murat had anything to do with Madeleine’s disappearance.

Readers will remember that Murat won record damages from four British newspaper groups for slurs written against him.

The Sun, Star and Mail are all properties of the groups that were also forced to make public apologies.

Speaking outside the High Court in London eight years ago, Louis Charalambous, Murat’s lawyer, described the behaviour of tabloid journalists and editors involved in the slurs as “grossly irresponsible”, saying they had shown a “reckless disregard for the truth”.

Just a pity then, that NONE of the 'Smith family' NOTICED the hairy 'squirrel' (beard) hanging on 'dear life' from Clammy's CHIN!

The 'beard' Clammy had, for over 70 YEARS.

He has a short cut grey beard not a big bushy thing.
I am not saying he is the man the smiths saw only that there is the implication.
In poor lighting and them not paying him close attention, a grey white short cut beard would be difficult to make out as it would tend to blend in with his skin.
Since freud has been outed as a paedophile, he has a house in PDL, he was there at the same time as the mccanns, he invited them fro drinks and dinner, he apologised for being in his nightwear as it was 9.30 pm.

They don't have to say he is a possible suspect in the alleged abduction, they don't have to say he was involved in some way, they simply have to introduce him in the same article as the mccanns and missing Maddie, relate that he invited them to his house, tell us he is a paedophile and then let the sheeple fill in the gaps.

They don't say anything outright so cannot be sued for libel, it is all implied.

It would explain a lot of the mccanns behavior, it would paint them as victims as well since freud invited the unsuspecting parents and their children to his house, how he would have gloated at the parents suffering, how the twins could have been at risk or even that he touched them inappropriately right in front of the parents.

That he did no such thing would be irrelevant.
It would be gasp shock horror writing at its best, public sympathy would pour in, sales would sky rocket, donations to the fund would go up, win win for everyone.

It would also fit in with the mccann's claim and clarrie's that they were told not to show emotion in case the abductor got his jollies from it, yet they went to freud's home and their emotions were clearly visible and he would have gotten his jollies, the irony of it all.

If the mccanns can pin the blame on a patsy, preferably dead then they will.
A corpse cannot defend itself which would be perfect for their needs.

Heck they could even say they were being blackmailed/threatened by him and were too scared he would do something to the twins so they stayed silent (unbelievable i know but when you are drowning any lifeline will do)

it will be interesting to see what else comes out, what the mccanns have to say.

This pub being nicknamed " the plough and paedo" is very reminiscent of the channel four series PeepShow. In that a character called superhans wants to call his new pub " the swan and paedo". I absolutely adore peepshow but hate when that word is used jokingly, I've even messaged the production staff in the past asking why a perfectly funny on its own storyline ever needs that word included, as it makes me wince, and I.m sure I.m not alone!
I wonder if these " journalists" just decided to hijack the name and give it to this pub, poor guy!
