OK, so where is this letter on headed Commons paper! Do these people think we've just floated in at Liverpool dock on a banana boat?

The only thing missing to make this even more ridiculous (if that's possible) is the final line 'a source close to the family say that Kate and Gerry McCann are buoyed up by this latest revelation'.

Not disputing that Clement Freud was a dirty old goat but the claim amounts to nothing without production of the letter

This is an appalling story - and it happened back in 1956. There is surely more to come out about the oily, creepy character.

Goncalo Amaral basically said that MI5 was all over the Madeleine McCann case from the 'off'. He famously said that the case would be 'solved' if the MI5 case files on the case were ever opened.

It is the job of MI5 to monitor the activities of politicians.

Special Branch officers drove the McCanns from East Midlands Airport to 5 The Crescent, Rothley on Sunday 9 September when they fled Portugal ('madeleine', by Kate McCann, p. 259), and soon afterwards attended at the McCanns' home together with Leicestershire Police's Senior Investigating Officer in the case, Detective Chief Superintendent Bob Small - the senior detective who spoke to Jane Tanner before she 'identified' the man she claimed to have seen on 3 May 2007 as Robert Murat.

Is there anyone left who doubts that whatever happened to Madeleine McCann must be connected to some dirty great big secret that the British government at the highest level wished to cover up? (see quote from John Stalker above on the forum banner)

Having read the Article,it points out that now perhaps it would be better to have the "Public"accept being a Swinger than a"Paedophile"association,changed from the"Neglect"argument first put forward as to Madeleine's disappearance 3 May 2007?
What,textusa,make clear is there is an association between Operation Grange and the Defamation Trail now before the Portuguese Supreme Court,that Operation Grange will not close it's case before a decision is reached from the Supreme Court?
It also points out,that if the McCann family lose the case at the Supreme Court hearing,the McCann family would be liable to pay both Sides Costs,they do not mention any counter claim by Mr Goncalo Amaral of which he could pursue if the case is lost by Kate and Gerry McCann's legal challenge.
I would also like to point out,that the "Three Paedophile Burglar's" would need to be properly explained by Operation Grange if they persist with that Hypothetical claim as to what happened to Madeleine McCann,when she was reported missing from apartment 5a Ocean Club on the above date?
Remarkably DCS Bob Small gave advice to Kate and Gerry about meeting Clement Freud,Mr Small also allowed JT to have accession to Identify Robert Murat,before Jane was placed in the Surveilance Van for the PJ able to identify Robert as a suspect in the case?

I'd like to address a couple of the points that are being made in this thread, if I may:

1. Freud wasn't 'into' 3 year olds. *

I am unaware of any comprehensive studies which conclusively prove that a pedophile's 'tastes' do not ever change evolve. I am willing to be corrected if I am wrong. As far as I am aware nobody is accusing Freud of sexually abusing MBM. As far as I am aware nobody is accusing Freud of being directly involved with the death of MBM. His presence in PDL and his involvement with the Mcs is simply one more building block in a monolith of suspicions about pedophilic activity surrounding the death of MBM and the possible motivations for concealing her corpse.

2. The media is using the allegations against Freud as a distraction from the guilt of the McCanns.

This is highly unlikely. In what world does the media use a big name, former MP, aristocratic descendant of a famous historical figure as a scapegoat to save a pair of unknown doctors? However, it is fascinating that media connected the dots between Freud and the McCann case when ordinarily a connection like that would have been assiduously avoided. Something else other than scapegoating is [was--whatever the issue going on behind the scenes it seems resolved now] at work here.**

3. No way old man Freud abducted Madeleine from her bed so he couldn't be involved.

This argument is a straw man and anyone making it is suspect in my eyes. Nobody can credibly postulate that this is role Freud played, if he is indeed involved in the case, but it's not an either/or proposition. He CAN be involved without having abducted MBM from her bed because an abduction never happened anyway.

*AS an addendum, I think it's helpful for people to understand that it is not necessary for perpetrators who engage in the making and distribution of child pornography, as well as the necessary child trafficking, to be actual pedophiles. All it takes is an immense greed and a complete lack of morals, ethics, and scruples. The same goes for those engaging in 'high level' political pedophile rings whose purpose is blackmail and who are not necessarily 'here to have fun'.

As for cults [and there is some indication that a 'May Day' ritual may have been involved in the death of this precious child but I am unwilling to theorize as to which cult could be responsible] sadistic pedophilia [which can obviously result in 'unintentional' death] is often a requirement of 'moving up' in degrees but also does not require a clinical diagnosis of pedophilia. It requires a desire to 'transgress' normal and acceptable behaviors and a cruel and sadistic nature. It may also involve some participants who have no choice but to go along with the activities and who know to keep their mouths shut or else. Frankly I detect at least a couple of these victims in the Tapas group.

Further, there is nothing ruling out a confluence of all of these groups-- cult, political, sexually deviant, profiteer---in the death of MBM.
