£11157 a few moments ago.
And all this done quietly, with none of the PR campaign with 'Look For Maddie' posters showing a girl who was never called that with a coloboma which wasn't made much of. It speaks volumes about what the general public, sorry trolls, think.

Oops, got the spelling wrong. It should be tyrozets. They are lozenges which come in plastic tube.Ladyinred wrote:mysterion wrote:Try some Tyrovets from a pharmacy.
What is that?
What works for me is hot ribena, paracetomol and early to bed. So I will not be staying up late tonight for the results.

I wonder if it is deliberate. I also wonder if Kate is now gonna say much to Fiona during the trip.

Smashed past 11K in 8 days. Smashing !
Every little counts.
Love those comments from people giving their meagre savings.
Wonder how many OAPs, school children and others donated their meagre savings to the not-legit-fund with similar message hoping Madeleine will be found soon. They are going to be VERY VERY angry when the truth emerges that the pair knew she was dead and they'd been fleeced.
Plenty interesting ones there for Ben Perrin to choose from, and still have left overs for Antonella Lazzeri to take her picks. Kevin probably will never show any of the comments to his masters in case the Mrs boils her blood.

Missing People clearly think so
As does Fiona Payne, who was there at the time, supervised the late afternoon, which may have involved sedation, or not, obviously, and then failed to rouse the twins from their coma in any of the approved ways which a qualified anaesthetist (actually TWO - since the blessed and Saintly Kate was also qualified ) would normally have undertaken . .

Re: Brits already forking out en-masse for Maddie cop libel appeal
Their entire world is imploding, as a direct result of their temporary "Partial' victory on two out of seven substantive points against Dr Gonçalo Amaral.
They now try to say it was "not about the money" . . which raises yet another question,
why did they not simply ask for an apology, an admission, and destruction of the books ?
And a few court costs.
But NO.
They went for and demanded ON MILLLLLLLION POUNDS
And they Lost.
As the blessed Kate says, "He deserves to be miserable and feel fear.
And they will lose again on appeal.
Dr Amaral has only two counts to argue, each of which was decided only "Partly " against him, and on (fairly flakey) grounds of 'jurisprudence,' rather than fact.
The other five counts were dismissed by the judge in very stong temrs, indicating that she knew knew that the witnesses, including the McCanns had been lying.
(School bus radio - Oh, for God's sake, Kate. Invent something better than that. It is not difficult.
The radio in YOUR OWN KITCHEN, for example. Then we could be slightly sceptical but not outright dismissive of an outright LIE !

I have looked up what `jurisprudence` means = the philosophy of law, so am non the wiser.
Does it just mean `on a legal technicality`? Anyone ?

Exactly ! Theory of Law.
The law must forbid Judge to rule on a court case using "theory" surely?
Else why waste time to go to trial to test the validity of the claimant, when writing an essay purporting a theory would suffice?
And the irony of that is - her ruling is against Amaral purporting a theory in a book ?

Re: Brits already forking out en-masse for Maddie cop libel appeal
My question would be why the judge did not uphold the previous verdict by the court about the banning of GA's book? Because to my mind the non libelous book written about the investigation and the upheld views by the PJ about the investigation, were just that. And if it caused the McC's pain & suffering in any way, that is what the police do in a missing child case. They investigate and come to a theory about it from evidence etc. That is their job. And Yes, sometimes parents are under suspicion, because in a lot of these cases it turns out that family member/s are responsible, as we have seen and read by the statistics. And what about Maddies's pain and suffering? Surely that overrides anything her parents might be experiencing. Other parents of missing children have also been in the line of fire when police are investigating such a case, but if they are innocent of any wrongdoing they take it in their stride and do everything possible to find their missing child, and assist the police in every way possible.

Re: Brits already forking out en-masse for Maddie cop libel appeal
And this is the reason GA wrote his book:
[color:3a19=000000]As he clarifies several times throughout the book, the author felt the need to write it right away in order to, as he says, "recover my good name, which was publicly dragged through the mud while the institution that I served for 26 years, the Portuguese Judiciary Police, did not allow me to defend myself, nor defended me institutionally. I asked for permission to speak out in that sense, a request that remains unanswered to this day. I fully respected the PJ's rules, and remained in silence. Nevertheless, said silence was tearing my dignity apart.
Later on, I was removed from the investigation. I then decided that it was time for me to defend myself in a public way. Therefore, I immediately requested my retirement, so I could regain the plenitude of my freedom of expression."

[color:3a19=000000][color:3a19=000000]As IMO he had [color:3a19=000000]every right to do and was thus determined so by the appeals court.
[color:3a19=000000]A court has overturned a ban on a book by the detective who led the Madeleine McCann investigation.
The Truth Of The Lie by Goncalo Amaral will be allowed back on the shelves in Portugal following a ruling by Lisbon's Court of Appeal.
In the book, the former police chief claims Madeleine died in an accident and accuses her parents Gerry and Kate of faking her abduction. The couple, both doctors, insist she was snatched and still plan to sue Amaral.
In September last year the McCanns, from Rothley, Leics, won an injunction banning the book from being sold in Portugal.
They said that Amaral's claims meant people were no longer looking for their daughter. But yesterday the judge said the book did not breach the McCanns' rights to privacy because they had done TV interviews in a bid to find their daughter.
Now a 50-minute DVD documentary to accompany the book will also be allowed to be sold.
The McCanns' spokesman Clarence Mitchell said last night: "The legal action against Mr Amaral is very much continuing.
"Kate and Gerry's lawyers are examining this latest court action and are considering an appeal."

People will tell you the truth whether they realise it or not.
If you look/listen to what they are actually saying rather than what you think they are saying.
When kate spoke about the Portuguese not wanting a MURDER in Portugal, she is telling/leaking what really happened.
When kate spoke about pressing a button and they would ALL be togeather again, she was telling the world that not only was Maddie dead, she was also telling the world she was prepared to kill her tow surviving children, gerry and herself, not the behavior of an innocent mother.
When gerry told us they played no part in Madeleine's death, he told the world Maddie was dead.
Look and listen only to the words they use, words chosen by the brain a microsecond before being spoken or written.
Presume the subject is always telling the truth.
Listen and look for the expected and anything unexpected will stand out and reveal the truth.
Think what you would say and do in the same situation, this is the expected.
When they post about raising money IN MEMORY OF MADELEINE, they are telling the world Maddie is dead and they know it.

Is it possible that these recent "obvious" inclusions of the words "in memory" could also mean that if enquiries regarding the Fund's legality are negated.
TM can state that since it's beyond 7 years when missing people can be officially declared dead so it would be natural to refer to Madeleine as deceased.

Re: Brits already forking out en-masse for Maddie cop libel appeal
NOW, all OG/MET have to 'figure' out, is WHEN did Madeleine, 'ceased to be' if, indeed, that IS what 'happened'
BEFORE or AFTER, the registered private limited company, the 'Madeleine's fund', was launched?
IF 'before' then they have to 'bring in' the SFO. (Serious FRAUD Ofiice)
IF the 'fund' was set up, fraudulently, with certain people 'knowing' that it was, that's going to UPSET rather a lot of kind hearted people, who 'donated', isn't it?
We'll 'see', i guess.
Not a nice thing to 'say' but it would put 'them' on a 'par', or even more so, with IB&MH.
ALL, imo, obviously.

In which they should word everything about the fund differently: "findable" into looking for Madeleine's body, "come to no harm" into she is resting in peace.

It is reported that Ronaldo has donated 5 million pounds to the Nepal fund.
Would it be worthwhile sending a link to the legal fund to all the sporting clubs in Portugal?
Should be easy enough for someone in Pt. who knows what club/sporting stars are rich enough to maybe help out.

Dr Amaral. We are all behind you. Truth is on your side.
When I listen to this beautiful song, It's as if it was written especially for you:
Lyrics to The Climb
I can almost see it.
That dream I'm dreaming, but
There's a voice inside my head saying
You'll never reach it
Every step I'm takin'
Every move I make
Feels lost with no direction,
My faith is shakin'
But I gotta keep tryin'
Gotta keep my head held high
There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side
It's the climb
The struggles I'm facing
The chances I'm taking
Sometimes might knock me down, but
No I'm not breaking
I may not know it, but
These are the moments that
I'm gonna remember most
I've just gotta keep goin', and
I gotta be strong
Just keep pushing on, but
There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there

Plebgate, I have no doubt that the fund will go from strength to strength. It's only a matter of time before a super rich person will have the guts to donate enough money to cover Dr Amaral's legal fees.
Have faith!

Hi Angelique.Angelique wrote:Hobbs

TM can state that since it's beyond 7 years when missing people can be officially declared dead so it would be natural to refer to Madeleine as deceased.
In cases of missing persons when no body has been found even many years down the line, parents, especially mothers tend to refer to their missing loved one, especially a child in the present tense.
So strong is the maternal bond that even years after a child has died, mothers will still slip into the present tense when talking about their child.
Denial is a very powerful emotion.
This is particularly seen in cases of recent death when the parents and loved ones struggle to come to terms with their loss.
In cases of missing persons, when a family member refers to them in the past tense, especially shortly after they have gone missing, it is darn good indication they know or suspect the person is dead.
This can be down to guilt or guilty knowledge, belief or having beeen told the likelihood is they are dead.
It is unexpected, especially in relation to missing children.
I have seen many cases where a parent has referred to their missing child in the past tense and then learn later they murdered said child.
Even though it has been 8 years and legally someone can be officially declared dead, in the case of missing children, the hope is that somewhere they are alive.
This is seen with the mother of Ben Needham.
The mccanns and chums have guilt and guilty knowledge that Maddie is dead and they are telling the world, and have told the world.
Words said cannot be unsaid.
Listen closely to what they say, read closely what they write and see the truth within.
How long will it before one of them cracks?
Sooner or later the guilt will be too much to bear, the stress of lying to a world wearing the soul down, the fear of the dreaded early morning knock day after day, wondering who will talk first (for there will always be one ) and what they will say, who they will blame and who they will throw under the bus.
Loyalties change.
People in high places get demoted or retire.
Powerful contacts lose their power.
Eight years ago they had powerful friends and contacts.
Today those self same people are no longer in power, no longer able to pull strings, to call in favors.
We have seen the facades crumbling and are seeing the dirty underside breaking through.
The mccanns and chums think they have protection, they don't.
Those once powerful people are now being exposed.
If it means throwing a few minnows to the sharks to protect their own butts, they will do so with alacrity.
The mccanns and chums are minnows.
Their ex friends can afford to minimise their deeds, they will blame others, they still have contacts in high places, a few last favors to call in.
The mccanns have no one and nothing
If the mccanns think they are a threat to those who supported and covered for them, think again.
They may think they have their 'friends' over a barrel, it only seems that way.
They don't and never did.
They are protected only for as long as it suits those doing the protecting.
If push comes to shove, it will be so long and thanks for all the tea, and they are all alone in an ever shrinking corner.
