This is a media circus - fuelled by the UK police themselves...well that would be the platinum command element.
One little girl aged three just prior to her fourth birthday and not one LEA can find out what happened to her. Not even the US people that Gerry was so eager to consult. No, not one single agency can find out what happened to her. God help Madeleine and God help all of us. We're all being bullshitted.
The UK police were obstructive (don't listen to Jim Gamble who likes to tell everyone it was a scramble to help and there needed to be an uber commanding force..tch) the UK police didn't provide normal stuff such as credit card and bank history info, they didn't freely provide mobile phone records. I'm a UK citizen. I'd hope the UK government would act on behalf of Madeleine and only Madeleine. She's the one that's missing. She's the victim isn't she?
Incredibly, they didn't pass on the Gaspar statement for three months! Has anyone ever queried that in the UK Media. No. Why not?
6 months.

Has anyone, from OG/SY ever 'dissed' the EVRD dog 'alerts' in apartment G5A?

The correct whitewash technique when dealing with inconvenient evidence is not to "diss" it (like Gerry and Kate stupidly try to do). That simply draws attention to it. The correct approach is to ignore it entirely - to treat it as though it did not exist. This is why not a single person in OG has ever mentioned the dog alerts - not once in 3.5 years, multiple press-releases, and several interviews. Nor will they ever.
To further brush the dogs out of history, support is provided by hangers-on such as Gamble and Summers - who are there to provide what seems to be (but is not) the official view: that the dogs were not confirmed by forensics and therefore can safely be ignored.
Standard techniques I'm afraid. Note also that the Gaspar statements are treated in the same manner. How amazing that Jim "I see paedos everywhere" Gamble has never mentioned them... and they did not even merit a line in the Summers 'book'.

Is OG in possession of Madeleine's medical records? and if so, have they passed them onto the PJ?jeanmonroe wrote:Has anyone, from OG/SY ever 'dissed' the EVRD dog 'alerts' in apartment G5A?

Clearly this was never going to be an ‘ordinary’ review. But why the urgency to proceed to ‘investigation’ of a case over which no British police authority had any jurisdiction? The disclaimer that the Portuguese were, and would remain, the lead agency, as if Grange were to provide some kind of battery charge to the case overseas, was quickly exposed by the Portuguese themselves, when they re-opened their own investigation, introducing Euclides Monteiro to the world with a two-fingered gesture that Scotland Yard mistakenly took to be Churchillian.

Will Operation Grange be sharing their entire findings to date with the PJ?
Will/have Operation Grange shared the files from Metodo 3 (you know the files that OG made sure there was a press call to photograph them removing boxes from the offices of Metodo 3) those files from Metodo 3 that were paid for by the Fund/Limited Company which ought to have been in their entirety in the possession of the Fund/Limited Company/Madeleine's parents?

Just to add one more 'quote', to the more significant 'quotes' that have been made, related to this 'case'
"This investigation is anything but normal, and it has never been normal from the very day that Madeleine McCann disappeared."
Tom Burridge, BBC.

“Yes, yes, I know, ” Gerry says bitterly. “Kate killed her in a frenzy, Madeleine was sedated by us, she fell down the stairs—in which case you would have thought they’d have found her body. I’ve heard all that! There have been a huge number of theories in the media. But what I want to know is—who told them all that?”

Is this a photo of Andy trudging around PdL showing Nicola all the good Pizza places?
So that's DCI Nicola Wall. Bit of a looker if you ask me.
If she needs some fresh eyes and some hands-on help with the investigation - I'm available. Cheap, too. Expenses only.
Give us a ring, Nic. Just call International Rescue.

Andy can cope with a cameraman doing the moonwalk, an annoying reporter attempting to thrust something nasty at his face; but oh goddamn it, not a fricking dog in the picture. Why couldn't it have been a ginger tom cat passing by.
Why a dog?
(looks like a three-legged dog, too. How reliable he appears walking on three legs!).

Period of witness questioning in the Maddie case is extended
Hearings of Murat's wife used up all of Thursday's work time.
The chief inspector who is going to be responsible for the investigation into the disappearance of Madeleine McCann in 2007 arrived this Thursday at the Polícia Judiciária's building in Faro, at a time when questioning of the witnesses has been extended until Friday.
The inspector who takes over the new job on the 22nd of December, Nicola Wall from the Metropolitan Police Service, arrived at the PJ in Faro at 09h25, sided by chief inspector Andy redwood who has been responsible for the British investigation over the last three and a half years and leaves the investigation due to his retirement. None of the inspectors made any comment to the journalists.
The questioning in the Algarve of 10 of the 11 witnesses that have been summoned by the British investigators started on Tuesday and were supposed to end this Thursday, but the hearing of the wife of Murat, a man who has been pointed out several times as possibly being involved in the little girl's disappearance, took up all of the work time on Wednesday.
Maddie disappeared in 2007
Therefore the questioning of Robert Murat was scheduled for Friday.
The investigation focuses on the disappearance of Madeleine McCann on the 3rd of May of 2007 when she was sleeping with her younger siblings in a bedroom in an apartment at a tourist resort in Praia da Luz, Algarve.

Witness or not, it's a bit odd imo that Murats wife now goes home to have a good old chat with her hubby before he himself is questioned.

EXACTLY its a farce innit......they have all had 7 years to cover their tracks if any of them are guilty of this crime. I think SY need to start at the beginning and re interview the Tapas 7 why should they be exempt from questioning they were there and could offer up something perhaps they forgot themselves........waiting for justice wrote:Witness or not, it's a bit odd imo that Murats wife now goes home to have a good old chat with her hubby before he himself is questioned.

I do think this visit is a tad hyped up to be honest by media and forums.
7 years on and how many detectives on this case and we are where now? NOWHERE............

The BBC News website has very helpfully provided a map of the apartment/tapas bar/Smithman sighting area and a timeline for readers. Below is the timeline:
A timeline according to whom, BBC?
- 20:30 Kate and Gerry McCann leave their apartment to have dinner at a Tapas bar
- 21:05 Gerry McCann checks on Madeleine and her siblings
- 22:00 A man is seen carrying a child wearing pyjamas heading towards the ocean
- 22:00 Kate McCann raises the alarm that Madeleine has gone missing
A timeline according to whom, BBC?

Don't know where to put this and didn't want to start a new topic so here it is. I remember the murder of Claire Tiltman and how the major investigation went cold despite the Police doing everything they could, a reconstruction and further appeals over the years on Crimewatch and the doggedness of detectives to find Claire's killer. Just to show how using your position to get close to a major Police investigation and providing an alibi can change the course completely - but obviously not forever. I make no comparisons to any other cases, ahem. My opinion only.
Councillor used her job to help murderer son cheat justice for 20 years: Mother of man jailed for killing teenager Claire Tiltman in 1993 pumped police for information about inquiry and provided son with false alibi

Silvia Batista
Snipped from the PJ files:
" windows were closed and the curtains slightly open. Gerry, who followed her and the elements of the GNR, said he did close the window because of the babies sleeping in the room, a fact she confirms."
Gerry Said that he closed that window.
There is One problem for Mr McCann, his fingerprints was NOT found on that window.
Tick,tock.....

What I can't understand is how all these people are being questioned going on the timelines given by the Tapas 9. How do SY know that these are correct? I know I have said it before, but the Daily Express in summer 2013 reported that Murat had said along the lines of Bring them all back to Portugal. Start at the beginning and ask about the timelines. That makes sense to me, but what do I know?
