Cop who led initial hunt for Madeleine McCann vows to 'clean out' her parents.
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/3340418/madeleine-mccann-detective-vows-to-clean-out-parents/ The usual type of article from The Sun, mostly rubbish, but i wonder if the piece about Amaral possibly doing media inteviews on the 10th anniversary could have any truth to it.

No friend of Rocky would have claimed that he is shamelessly going to clean them out imo.
I do not believe that at all.
Is it time to pass the bucket around again? Well I didn't contribute the first time so no way would I put any money in.
Wasn't it said that family members were prepard to sell homes to find little Maddie? This must surely still be an option if the Fund runs dry?

No way would GA talk to any UK journalist. He would talk to Natasha Donn, a real journalist who publishes the truth.
And no way would Natasha Donn talk on his behalf to any UK journalist, especially in that fashion.
With the words the Sun uses to describe him why would he suddenly want to communicate with them?
Another Sun article today calls him grubby and odious and yet they hope he'll talk to them?
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/3341709/grubby-profits-made-by-the-odious-goncalo-amaral-over-madeleine-mccanns-disappearance-turns-the-stomach/
A BBC journalist contacted me a few weeks ago asking to be put in contact with GA and that didn't come to anything either.
GA doesn't trust UK journalists, and why should he?
It is clear from the paparazzi pics that he won't talk to them and he's being hounded and stories made up to try to prompt him to talk.
"Justice works in silence" !
He should sue the Sun. And soon !
Get 'em Gonçalo !

Judging by the comments on the " grubby " article
Peoples stomachs have been turned by the " grubby " " odious " trash continuely spouted in the Sun .
G A continues to keep a dignified silence .
McCanns and their " source " continue to play hard done to , victims .
No one likes vindictive people who play their " story " in public at the drop of a hat .
Be careful what you send out , good or bad .
It will come back to you threefold !

MADELEINE McCann’s parents had suffered more than enough even before the odious cop Goncalo Amaral set out to make their lives yet more hellish.
They will never stop grieving for the little girl abducted from their holiday flat in 2007.
The odious Portuguese cop Goncalo Amaral has sworn to bankrupt the McCanns
But the Portuguese ex-police chief who ran the investigation has now sworn to bankrupt them too.
His men’s rookie errors may be one reason no trace of Madeleine was ever found.
How might her life, and Kate and Gerry’s, have been different had fate put a decent cop in charge?
Next month will mark the 10th anniversary of Madeleine’s disappearance
One not consumed by a baseless suspicion that they somehow covered up Madeleine’s death without leaving a trace?
It is incredible that Portugal’s legal system overturned their libel win against Amaral for his slurs on them.
It has given him licence to cash in — through his first book, the second even more fanciful one he is writing and the damages with which he intends to “clean out” the McCanns.
On May 3, ten years exactly will have passed since Madeleine vanished.
Detectives hunting Madeleine McCann says cops will only look at 'meaningful lines of enquiry'
It is heartbreaking that after all that time this is where the multi-million pound investigation has led:
A dead-end, the child still lost, her parents still traumatised, her siblings growing up without her.
And one grubby individual shamelessly and vindictively profiting from it all.
It turns the stomach.

THE detective who led the initial hunt for Madeleine McCann has shamelessly vowed to “clean out” her parents by suing them for damaging his reputation.
Goncalo Amaral, 57, wrote a book claiming Maddie died at the McCanns’ holiday home in Praia da Luz and Kate and Gerry covered it up.
Goncalo Amaral, 57, wrote a book claiming Maddie died at the McCanns’ holiday home in Praia da Luz
The grief-stricken parents won a libel case against the now-retired cop over his allegations in 2015 — but the decision was overturned on appeal and later upheld by another Portuguese court.
It means the McCanns are now unable to take the case any further and Amaral is able to counter-sue the couple for damages.
The dad of three has already put in a claim for 10,000 euros , around £8,500, to cover legal costs.
His publisher and a firm behind a DVD on the case also want 5,000 euros each.
But the ex-cop, who was out enjoying a beer in the sun on Friday, could claim tens of thousands more.
A source said: “Amaral holds the key to making life financially very tough for the McCanns.
“He has told friends he intends to do just that. He wants to squeeze every penny he possibly can out of them, clean them out. He has no shame at all.
“He doesn’t believe they need the money to fund the search for Maddie as he is certain they know what happened to her.
“He is looking to deplete the Maddie fund at a time when they need all the money they can get.
“On top of all that, Kate and Gerry will be asked to pay a large legal costs bill for their case that ended in defeat for them.”

Amaral may do interviews on May 3, the anniversary of Maddie’s disappearance
Kate and Gerry have spent the past decade searching for their daughter
Matthew Wright claims parents of missing children have been 'short changed' compared to Madeleine McCanns
The financial blow for Kate and Gerry comes as they approach the tenth anniversary of Maddie’s disappearance next month.
And in a further twist, The Sun on Sunday can reveal Amaral is still working on his second book on the case despite claims to the contrary.
The source said: “Amaral says the second book will be even more explosive.
“Since writing the first his mind has been working overtime coming up with all sorts of wild theories.”
Approached in Lisbon, Amaral said: “I don’t have to explain anything to anyone.”
But he added that he may do interviews on May 3, the anniversary of Maddie’s disappearance.

The Portuguese detective who led the search for Madeleine McCann has promised to 'clean out' her grief-stricken parents by suing them for damaging his reputation.
Goncalo Amaral, 57, claimed in a book that Madeleine died at the McCann's holiday house in Praia da Luz and Kate and Gerry covered it up.
The McCanns won a libel case against Amaral in 2015, but this was overturned on appeal and that decision upheld in another court.
This means Amaral is now able to sue the McCanns for damages potentially totalling tens of thousands of pounds.
A source told The Sun on Sunday's Alex Diaz: 'Amaral holds the key to making life financially very tough for the McCanns.
'He has told friends he intends to do just that. He wants to squeeze every penny he possibly can out of them, clean them out. He has no shame at all.'
The former policeman has already put in a claim of £8,500 for legal costs.
His publisher and the creators of a DVD about Madeleine's disappearance also want £4,200 each.

The continuing legal battle will bring extra pain to the McCanns as they approach the tenth anniversary of their daughter's disappearance next month.
Amaral is said to be working on another book about the case.
His 2008 publication, Maddie: The Truth Of The Lie, was written soon after he was hauled off the investigation in 2008 and took early retirement.
He alleged Madeleine had died in an accident in the apartment and the McCanns had faked her abduction.

The couple told a trial of their ‘desperation, anxiety and pain’ at being accused by Amaral of hiding their daughter’s body.
The continuing legal battle will bring extra pain to the McCanns as they approach the tenth anniversary of their daughter's disappearance next month
In February, after a nine-year legal battle, the McCanns finally failed in their attempt to have the book banned from sale in Portugal.
They have always maintained that their aim was to stop Amaral spreading wicked and false lies which they felt hampered the search for Madeleine.
The Portuguese supreme court decision upheld the finding of a lower court last year, which overturned a previous libel win by the McCanns against Amaral when he was ordered to pay them £385,000 in damages.
Their initial victory in 2015 allowed them to block formal publication of the book, but could not stop its circulation on the internet.
The supreme court concluded freedom of expression, in the shape of the Amaral book, must trump the right to protect the reputation of individuals (the McCanns).

GGG, you've knocked the nail right on the head. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you this is exactly what journalists do, especially the gutter press such as the Sun, and they don't crawl any lower in the gutter than that comic. When they can't get people to answer their grubby little questions, they make up stories and use the language that we are all aware of; for example "disgraced cops, sardine munchers, internet trolls" and the list goes on. And just a gentle reminder about Faux News, this newspaper went to court to get approval to tell LIES, and they got the nod to do so.
What a filthy world we live in!

The source for the Mail article is clearly on the McCann side,
'..... In February, after a nine-year legal battle, the McCanns finally failed in their attempt to have the book banned from sale in Portugal. They have always maintained that their aim was to stop Amaral spreading wicked and false lies which they felt hampered the search for Madeleine ......'
No mention of all the money they hoped to win.

Since the majority of people deeply distrust the McCanns... all that these headlines truly achieve is to further promote interest in Goncalo Amaral, and his (officially shared) belief that the parents are behind Madeleine's disappearance!

Yes, Clarence, he most certainly does.
Not just the McCanns though.
Clarence, have you done anything to make Dr Amaral "miserable or feel fear"?
You know, like feeding shite to the newspapers to "control what comes out of the media"?
Too many assholes, not enough bullets.

3rd of May marks 10 years since an abduction lie was born , Madeleline McCann went on holiday with her family and never returned , her parents claim abduction , yet to this day there isn't one shred of evidence to support that , there is however evidence that supports a death and concealment of a body , for 10 years her parents have rammed abduction down the necks of the UK public with the support of the UK media and Government behind them , the majority of the UK public and many more across the world do not believe abduction took place , they believe and trust in the dog evidence and are disgusted this farce has continued this long , we're calling for an end to the secrecy , lies and corruption that acts like a blanket over the Madeleline McCann case , end the scam

What utter garbage reporting, sham on you Sun and shame on your reporter, the sooner you go the way of the News of the World the better, how low can you go. I hope Snr Goncarlo Amaral sue you for the libelous comments you have made against him.

I would have thought it was the McCanns who have made a profit out of their inexcusable poor parenting by leaving their children alone, not once but several times and we the British tax payer have shelled out millions so that they can perpetuate their lies

Re: Cop who led initial hunt for Madeleine McCann vows to 'clean out' her parents.
I don't believe for one minute that Amaral has said he would " clear out" Kate and Gerry. To me he has always come across as a very quiet, compassionate man who's only aim was to find out what really happened to Madeleine.
He has shown remarkable composure and silence in the unrelenting and libelous trash coming from the UK press and from the "sources" close to the McCanns. I doubt very much that many of us here would have conducted ourselves with such dignity and remained so quiet if this had happened to us.
I really hope he does Sue them and wins. It will be the final shot across the bows of the sinking ship McCann. Maybe then we can all finally be put out of our misery and find out the truth of what happened to this little girl, a truth that she so desperately deserves.

Yes of course he didn't say that Julie. It's simply not his style.
This type of greedy, vulgar comment has TM written all over it!

I just hope Goncalo Amaral isn't too nice to sue. As you rightly say, Julie c he is such a quiet, compassionate man who seeks the truth for Madeleine. Let's hope we see justice and I hope he has the energy left to sue them all! I am ready to donate if he needs a fighting fund. Thank goodness for Amaral.

Wouldn't it be great if he could sue them not for financial compensation but for an apology ? It would send a message to anyone who likes to paint him as someone just out to make money.

It would. But the poor man has lost so much, including his marriage.ChippyM wrote:Wouldn't it be great if he could sue them not for financial compensation but for an apology ? It would send a message to anyone who likes to paint him as someone just out to make money.
He deserves compensation.
So does his family.

He deserves Both , the compensation and the apologies .
And not a small tucked away in a corner apology , but a splashed on the front pages apology .
The Scum and co were quick enough to vilify him lets see if they can own up to it !
He has worked in silence and with dignity over the past years for a little girl he never met , a little girl with no voice except his and those who support him .
A little girl who has been used and virtually forgotten by those supposed to love her the most .
Go Goncalo

I chose a pretty good username many years ago didn't I?
I knew he would get 'em in the end.
He's not finished yet, of course, but at least he won the Court battle.
GA: "I feel accomplished. It is the feeling of fulfilled duty, but there is something more, that I cannot speak about, of justice being carried out and the truth being discovered. These are not wishes, they are principles..." (october 2009)
He'll get 'em when he's good and ready.

Re: Cop who led initial hunt for Madeleine McCann vows to 'clean out' her parents.
Lets not forget that News International was suffering financially in 2007. The McCanns did a deal with the press, in fact they paid £500,000 to keep "their" stories in the papers. They also sold a number of stories to the press, and went along with pre-arranged photo shoots. Then we get Rebekah Brooks threatening David Cameron and Theresa May in order to get them to set up a bogus investigation so that they had a run of stories to report.
How much more have the McCann team paid the UK gutter press for printing their nonsense?

Re: Cop who led initial hunt for Madeleine McCann vows to 'clean out' her parents.
The UK tabloids have been crawling around the gutters and sewers of Portugal for months in the hope of finding Dr Amaral in some compromising situation they can splash across the headlines - they failed so they resort to pure invention. Have they forgotten the simple fact that the McCanns instigated legal action against Dr Amaral, a vindictive action to ruin him financially and destroy his reputation and life - all because he was trying to solve the mystery of their child's disappearance, doing his job, despite UK establishment intervention?
As if, as if, Dr Amaral would provide fodder to UK journalists to have his name again trashed as a mercenary, cruel, vindictive swine - he can leave that kind of behaviour to the experts, where it belongs - in the McCanns backyard.
Even if this slanderous report hasn't emanated directly from the McCanns or a source close to the family, they need to take responsibility by a show of common decency, a public condemnation of the UK press for their outrageous lies. Have they done that? I'm listening but I can't hear - hark hark the lark!
