This same thing Gerry lied, provable, in a television-interview when they were being made arguido in 2007. He was telling the camera that they were constantly being updated by the (Portuguese) police, and were working close with them.
The files showed afterwards, that at that point both parents already had been questioned and were being arguidoed.
 
So, this quote today could easily be a blatant lie. That is a fact.

  you propose a theory that involves one of the Tapas 7 parents volunteering for their young blonde daughter to be carried around the streets of Praia da Luz on a cold night dressed only in pyjamas. 


 Tony, we believe that some if not all tapas told lies for the parents... why would this favour be such a big deal?

The statement sounds as though it was written by a kid in a PR office. So it may have been written by TM then! They seek to give the impression that the police are telling them things about the digging that aren't in the press. Wrapped in the main message of course: they're aiming to get their daughter home.

They may be scared there's going to be a big explosion of people saying things about them that they don't like. Which even without any digging would be inevitable if they lost the libel case.

They may not have very good high-level access in SY at the moment. I don't know whether I am allowed to say this here (admin please delete this sentence if so), but they come across as people who can't stop lying.

I agree RD, so many new people must have been put off posting as not wanting to be "shot down" by TB, in fact one poster did mention a few days ago that he/she will not post because of TB's attitude.

We all have our own opinions and want to have a say, that's why people are signing on to the website evey day, but to have someone shooting your every word down by para upon para of text is not fair.

Perhaps TB should take a break from the website for a week or two, he must spend hundreds of hours compiling all these long texts that go on and on (and really are sometimes too long to read) it can't be doing his blood pressure much good.

I suspect someone in the Mccann camp told Gerry and Kate that they had to at least acknowledge the dig in Portugal on their website since they are supposedly being updated frequently.

Have you checked out the McCanns' website lately? The last post before this "don't spread rumors" one was in early May, when they complained about the media. (I still don't understand what their gripe with the media was, actually or ostensibly.)

I'd use the word "silly" to describe the McCanns' website, except that the core of this story is a little girl who is almost certainly dead.

The searches that were initiated last Monday in a large-scale area in Praia da Luz, in Lagos, will be extended for at least one more week. 

Scotland Yard and the Judiciary Police (PJ) signalled more than ten sites considered of “interest” to the investigation, two of which were, yesterday, target of excavations to search for the cadaver of Madeleine McCann, the 3-year-old child who disappeared on the night of May 3, 2007, from the bedroom where she slept with her twin siblings in an apartment in the resort of The Ocean Club, at that location, while the parents dined with friends at a restaurant.

The decision to extend operations beyond June 7, as it was originally planned by the authorities, requires only the respective authorization from the Attorney General's Office. 

This decision only emerged after objects were removed from one of the excavations sites, yesterday, following the clearance of vegetation of a parcel of land located near the Rua 25 de Abril, in the locality of Luz. The clearance was done by the Lagos Fire Brigade which comprises the Forestry Sappers of Terras do Infante. 

DN was able to establish that those objects taken for laboratory analysis are inorganic material considered of interest to the investigation, which can be either clothes or any other kind of objects. For now, these are just hypotheses.

Get on the next flight to Portugal, (lots available when you were going to Portugal for your £1 millon libel case) get yourselves 're-arguidoed' answer the PJ questions, admit it was yours, and only yours, fault that Madeleine is missing, by YOUR diliberately and consciously, leaving ALL your THREE kids, alone, in an totally unlocked apartment, whilst you went out of sight and earshot, to have drinkies with your friends, (EVERY night) who ALSO left ALL their kids alone in their apartments.

That would be an effort, not sat on your fat arses in Rothley!
