Excellent post from PeterM and as somebody posted earlier in the thread - why not name and shame this couple who inherited a million, because as rightly pointed out, if friends reported them they must know their names and if they have gone on the run, why not contact their families and put a photo out worldwide.
I am sure after six years people would still be able to recognise them, but if not I think it would be possible to arrange an aged progessed photo.
After all, taxpayers' money is no object.
You're right Aiyoyo, never heard anything like it in my life.
Or better still, why not claim the Reward Money?
All it needs is one phone call to the hotline @ FindMadeleine or the Police hotline.
Or, even invite the tabloids into your living and tell your story for a handsome sum of money.
Surely the press would be falling over one another to get first hand on such a red top story.

Well, the Irish are renowned for their telling of stories of fictitious little people and all of their shenanigens, so given that Gerry McCann is basically Irish............plebgate wrote:@PeterM

I do try and not read these articles from Donal - they seem to be a jumble of everything and nothing.
Except this bit :
“Operation Grange’s Detective Chief Inspector Andy Redwood, who is leading the new inquiry, says: “The review has given us new thinking, new theories, new evidence and new witnesses.”
One has to admit it has given the team something to do instead of twidling their fingers and checking their pension contributions.

Very good article by Donal again, showing how ludicrous the theories by the Mcs and their private investigators ( SY have to rule all of them out ) the abduction by a childless couple goes flying through the window !!! I wonder whether he will do articles on pedophiles and the lone sex offender ???

He can't really, can he, since the childless couple is the last chance of finding Madeleine alive - Because he said so and Mitchell did not correct him.jozi wrote:Very good article by Donal again, showing how ludicrous the theories by the Mcs and their private investigators ( SY have to rule all of them out ) the abduction by a childless couple goes flying through the window !!! So to think about anything else, logically, means that he and Mitchell must believe that Madeleine is dead.
Which would ruin the Fund.
Which the McCanns do not want.

It seems as if common sense and statistics have prevailed in the opinion of Maddie's fate at the hands of perverts. it is dreadful to contemplate, but the very sad fact is that there is little if any chance that she survived long after she disappeared.
Let us hope that a caring couple do have her, but it really can't be this couple, can it?!
And if by some amazing chance the little one is found, as well as looking older she will surely have had a change of hairstyle, possibly a boyish urchin cut and change of colour, to be successfully concealed for all these years, the most famous missing child on the planet. I do not think Maddie will resemble the age progressed image very much. I am surprised they did not use their computer programmes to show that picture with a variety of haircuts and colours.
I also doubt very much that there is a coloboma in her right eye.
The thing that made her stand out from most other children? Her mother did not mention it once. .NOT ONCE in her book, when she described Maddie's eyes.
What are the chances of anyone seeing a child with a coloboma who actually looks like Maddie in all other respects?
Height, eye colour, birth mark in a specific part of the specific leg.

Lucky we have a picture of the Chief Investigator

Odd that isnt it, when we are told by Redchief himself that the Mccanns collaborated with the Police, and in turn the Police regularly kept them up to date, yet the Mccanns did not sue the Police for not taking any action to ask the Couple to give Madeleine back. Unless Redwood did not tell Mccanns about the couple keeping their Madeleine.
We have Gerry on National TV (sitting right next to Jim Gamble) revealing his fertile imagination that the Maddie is probably alive living with a childless couple in a community and may show up years later, just like other cases. That there is no evidence she has been harmed, and all the fairy tale niceness associated with a decent couple who desperately wanted her. Yet this "nice" couple has never registered Madeleine for school or taken her out in public for any community activities.
One has to wonder why a millionaire couple who could afford to adopt properly through a third world country would want to commit a crime just to have a child and beget all the complications that come with it, not forgetting having to hide from the law men.
You would have to be pretty challenged in the brain department to believe the rubbish story about the couple.

Yet this "nice" couple has never registered Madeleine for school or taken her out in public for any community activities. Nor obtained a passport for her, nor a National Insurance number, nor registered her with a GP, nor allowed her to have all the inoculations normally associated with childhood, nor taken her to a dentist for regular check ups, nor . . .aiyoyo wrote:

At least Edgar's way out of this impossible trap is the "Hellish Lair in the Lawless Hinterland", though that might involve, one supposes, a paed****, but one of that special sub-set of Paed**** who does not cause their victims any harm.
These people have to be in a delusional state to suppose that anyone will buy into it.

Maybe Gerry McC is not the bad guy in all of this. In any disappearance, murder case it is always the person who last saw the victim alive that is the prime investigative target. What if Gerry went up from that bar they were all drinking in, heard Madeleine crying but rather than disturb her he just left her to "cry herself to sleep". He then sent Kate up to make sure she was quiet and Kate upon arriving in the apartment found Madeleine in a room she was not supposed to be. Kate then flew into a rage, punched Madeleine in the head and she died instantly. Shocked at her action she went outside , scouted the area for witnesses whereupon finding there were none she returned to her boozy chums, gave them the coded message "let her down" and they all went back up to the apartment to work out what to do next. Gerry was dispatched to hide the body, somebody worked out that an abduction could easily be faked with the right amount of noise, Jane Tanner independently decided to invent a man carrying a child. For whatever reason their "sect" made a pact not to tell the police the truth, to stick with the abduction theory open the window etc etc but by failing to conduct even the most basic of searches they all would be placed under suspicion.
Sound implausible? It explains why Kate left the apartment and took the route she did back to the Tapas drinking BAR. Pathologists would be able to distinguish between an injury caused by a sharp blow and a fall. This could lead to a murder charge as they well knew so it explains why the body had to be made to disappear at any cost. Besides, we all have children that fall over, how many of them are even knocked unconscious? Its usually a scream "Mummy Mummy". It also explains the fact that Kate is sent into a state of panic whenever asked about the inconsistencies in the statements or the findings of the dogs. She knows she is the guilty one in all this and her smooth talking husband might be able to wriggle out of it.
Just a few out of the box thoughts.

Cadaver odour only develops sufficiently to be detected after a couple of hours
Sorry.
Otherwise a good idea. Can we move the time.
To the previous night, for example ! ! !

Previous night is a good point to start.
Maybe that will explain why the Yard are keen to interview the witnesses who saw a couple entered 5A to soothe a crying Madeleine.
Who entered the apt - would she have stopped crying on seeing strangers?
What method did they use to stop her crying?
At what time this happened?
The witnesses could have witnessed a crime being perpetrated without realising it.
