Re: Very misleading caption
I've always thought that this quote was another of Kate's in-jokes at the expense of Sun readers and other sheeples.
Another classic was when, gate-crashing an event for the parents of missing children, she said that people in that situation are left in the dark with no help.

'When your child goes missing you want the whole world to stop and join the search'
If you're Madeleine, you could ask
'when your parents go missing you want to know why they didn't come when you cried'

Especially when according to them, you complained about it that very morning. Still, they faffed off yet again that same night.

And forgives the abductor!
As Kate McCann prepares to mark Madeleine’s tenth birthday, she has spoken about forgiving her daughter’s abductor

Re: Very misleading caption
Is the area under Kate's right eye photoshopped or is it the image on the back leaking through?

Exactly Maebee.
And even admits, as they both do, that she had no real intention of looking in at the children during the visit.
I went to close it to about here, and then as I got to here, it suddenly . . . slammed, and as I opened it, it was then, that I just thought I’ll just look at the children.
he noticed that the children's bedroom door was not ajar as he had left it but half-way open, which he thought was strange, having then thought that possibly MADELEINE had got up to go to sleep in his bedroom, so as to avoid the noise produced by her siblings. Therefore, he entered the children's bedroom and established visual contact with each of them, checking and he is certain of this, that the three were deeply asleep.
Every time they speak they dig a deeper hole for themselves.

On second thought action!
Yet we were told the purpose she went back was to check on the children.
In other words, had the door not slammed she would not have looked in.

Sean and Amelie could ask that too. The fact that they survived their parent's neglect does not negate that neglect.
I would not want to be in Kate's shoes, when one of them is going to ask: "so mommy, why didn't you come when we were crying"?
But on the other side Kate had no trouble to go out and leave them alone again, so I guess her answer would be something like "it was our vacation too!"
