Remind me, vaguely, what percentage of the money raised did the 'Missing' people charities get from the recent Rooftop garden bash?

If anyone should be interviewed it's Denise Bulger as she's back in the news.

Should be an interesting show then.

If she's not religious why do people think she may have confessed all to a priest?

I have no idea what their turnaround time is for keeping stuff on their site....it's not one that I frequent.

Do they tend to keep articles on there for long? Strikes me the Catholic church probably have a lot to keep up with.

What was originally on there?

I wonder why her mother said she wasn't particularly religious?

Until she needed to go visit the Pope anyway. roll

I wonder if they'll also interview abducted Sahil Saeed's mother or whether Kate is officially the figurehead mother for all missing children?

I thought the Pope visit was a PR gimmick courtesy of Pinky, and nothing to do with the religious mind or no of the mccanss.

Maybe she was dumped on poor Aled Jones who didnt have a choice but to toe the company's line.
I'm inclinced to think the Pink shade wriggled that interview with BBC, just as he did the Pope Visit.

Anyway I noted BBC2 standard reply is so banal. They failed to address the issue at stake and they not going to withdraw her anyway......what a farcical!

about this topic. We'd like to assure you that we have registered your comments on our audience log. This is the internal report of audience feedback which we compile daily for all programme makers and commissioning executives within the BBC, and also their senior management. It ensures that your points, and all other comments we receive, are circulated and considered across the BBC. Thank you once again for taking the trouble to contact us. Regards BBC Complaints____________________________www.bbc.co.uk/complaints

My response to the BBC as follows;

I am very disappointed that you have failed to address any of the concerns raised in my complaint to your department. There is not one shred of evidence to support the McCanns' claim that Madeleine was abducted - if you read the contents of the police files, which are available to the public, you would be aware of the following: -

Kate McCann refused to answer the straighforward questions put to her at the police station except for one which asked her if she accepted, that by refusing to answer the questions she may hinder the search for her daughter, to which she replied 'yes'.

Kate McCann did not leave her apartment the night of Madeleine's disappearance to search for her daughter.

The McCanns left their 3 very young children alone in a dark apartment night after night. Despite Madeleine asking her mother why she did not come when they were crying, still they went out and left them.

The McCanns and friends scrawled out their timeline, shortly after Madeleine's disappearance (10.00 pm approx), on a ripped out page from Madeleine's sticker book. Gerry wrote on the timeline that Jane Turner had seen someone carrying a child walking away from the apartment but claimed, in his statement, that JT did not mention this to him until 3.00 am the following morning!

The McCanns and friends refused to return to participate in a reconstruction - please refer to statements to read their excuses.

The Gaspars' statements (2 doctors who raised serious concerns about the McCanns and a member of the group, based on a previous holiday with them).

Cadaverine scent was detected on Kate McCann's clothing, various places in their apartment, the boot of their hire car, key fob and her bible.

Until this case has been resolved, surely it would be wise to wait and see what happened to Madeleine before giving airtime to her parents?

If, having considered the points above, you still feel it acceptable to have Kate McCann as a guest on your show, please would you ask her why she has not requested the PJ to re-open the case, as is her right to do so?[/quote]

Dont let them fob you off with such a senseless standard reply!

Ask:
What has people's religious faith got to do with Mothering?
Is the show about religious faith or mothers' day?

Does it mean so long as you're a mum with religious faith.......responsible parenting can be thrown out of the window because you can invoke your God to give you strength. What utter rubbish.

If the show is in honour of Mothers' Day, then quality of mothering and parenting skills matter.
IF its about the role of religious faith in people's personal circumstances....what has that got to do with Mothering Sunday?

Madeleine Mum Prays For Daughter's Abductors

5:16am UK, Sunday March 14, 2010

Jo Couzens, Sky News Online
Kate McCann prays for the people who took her daughter Madeleine, she has revealed.

Kate McCann

Kate McCann says her faith has given her 'inner strength'

She also says her belief in God gave her an "inner strength" on the day Portuguese police made her a suspect or "arguido" in the little girl's disappearance.

Mrs McCann, 42, a Roman Catholic, used a Mother's Day interview to talk about how she has been helped by her faith since her daughter went missing in Portugal in May 2007.

She told Aled Jones, presenter of BBC Radio 2's Good Morning Sunday, that her prayers were "a little bit more directed" than they were before Madeleine vanished.

"I pray for lots of things now. Obviously I always pray for the family, obviously most of the prayers are centred on Madeleine," she said.

"But I pray for the people who have taken Madeleine, the people who know what's happened to Madeleine and the people around and related to the person who's taken Madeleine.

"I pray for the police and the investigators, the people who are looking for her. And I pray for all the other children who are missing or have been exploited in some way."

Madeleine was nearly four when she went missing from her family's holiday flat in Praia da Luz in the Algarve on May 3, 2007 as her parents dined with friends nearby.

Mrs McCann recalled: "The day I was going in for my arguido interview was quite a strange day because I had been really low and feeling quite weak and fragile.

"Then suddenly I just felt really strong. I was angry, I was angry that people hadn't been looking for Madeleine.

"But also I just thought to myself, 'I know the truth and God knows the truth, and nothing else matters'. And I just felt really strong from there, I felt a real inner strength."

Mrs McCann, from Rothley, Leicestershire, told how she takes refuge in her local church while it is empty and speaks aloud about her burdens.

"These are the times when I go off to church, to be honest. I've got a key to the church - they've kindly given me one," she explained.

"Sometimes I'll go in - it's a bit of a sanctuary, a bit of a refuge. I'll go and I can speak out, because obviously there's no one there, just get it all off my chest, really."

Mrs McCann said she and her husband Gerry, 41, have been greatly supported by the positive attitude of their other two children, five-year-old twins Sean and Amelie.

"I think in years to come I'll be able to tell Sean and Amelie just how important they have been in our life and keeping us going, and getting us through it all," she said.

She said spending Mothering Sunday without Madeleine was hard, adding: "Every day, to be honest, is quite difficult.

"I guess Mother's Day is another reminder really that Madeleine is not here.

"I think motherhood is a real gift. Obviously I've got three children, and it's another reminder that one of my babies isn't with me."

You would think it would be the parents' role to be important in the children's lives to help keep them going and get them through it all...instead of screwing their heads up about monsters who took Maddie which allows them to think about finding the monster and fighting him.

God help the twins when they're old enough to do a bit of research about their sister and they learn that all the children were left alone, three year old Maddie being the eldest.

Shouldn't the twins be important in their lives because they are loved for who they are, not because they happen to be there to help the parents through an ordeal ? The McCann children always seem to have some sort of responsibility, unlike the parents.

Indeed. And Maddie had the biggest responsibility in that she had to look after her siblings. Unfortunately she failed in that duty... but then she was only three years old.

Does anyone else find it amazing that Kate can find it in her heart to pray for the people who, she says, took Madeleine, yet she and Gerry relentlessly pursue anybody through the courts who questions their version of what happened to their child ?
Presumably their daughter being in the hands of paedophiles is not as traumatic as criticism of themselves.
How much of the fund has actually been spent on searching for Madeleine compared to the legal costs which have been incurred in doing everything they can to deprive doubters of their livelihood ?

I couldn't bring myself to listen to the programme but here is a transcript of the interview.

http://themaddiecasefiles.com/topic6167-2480.html

FULL TRANSCRIPT OF INTERVIEW

Aled Jones .... When I met her recently, I started by asking her whether Mothering Sunday itself brings up mixed emotions for her?

Kate McCann It does and it doesn't. I mean every day, to be honest, is quite difficult. I guess Mother's Day is another reminder really that Madeleine is not here. You know, I think motherhood is a real gift and obviously I've got three children and its another reminder that one of my babies isn't with me. But, you know, I'm still Madeleine's mum and I always will be.

Aled Jones How do you cope with a day like Mothering Sunday?

Kate McCann Well I guess its a little bit different now really, I think, because we're working so hard. Perhaps days when we maybe have done something really special we don't necessarily, certainly Mothers Day, and I think birthdays are different, childrens birthdays and things but I think we just get through it like any other day really.

Aled Jones Do you get lots of support from family?

Kate McCann Oh we've had amazing support. I mean our family have been great. I think that's an important point really because everybody in our family has suffered and is going through a lot of pain and anxiety. And we're all missing Madeleine. But we've all got to try and support each other.

Aled Jones And what about your other children? How aware are they of what is happening?

Kate McCann Very aware. They talk about Madeleine every day. They know she is missing. They know she has been taken by somebody. They understand it a little bit like burgulary in that even if we want something it doesn't mean that we can take it because Madeleine belongs to us. You know, and its not right that they've got Madeleine and we have to find her. But they talk about finding her, about, you know, finding Madeleine, and running away with her and coming back home and even things like when we go on holiday they say, "Oh what will happen if the police find Madeleine and we're not there?" You know, and we say, "Don't worry our next door neighbours will let us know." They're very aware but they're very positive. I mean they'll always talk about when Madeleine comes home. Sean said to me the other week... well, Amelie said to me, "Why do you work mummy? and I said, "Well, I've got to find Madeleine." And Sean said, "Yes mummy, but when thats over, when Madeleine's home what will you do?" You know, and you think oh, you know, 'Bring it on', you know.

Aled Jones Does that help you?

Kate McCann It does. And they always say "Out of the mouths of babes" you know and they're really positive and it really does keep us going. I think in years to come I will be able to tell Sean and Amelie, just how important they've been really in our life in keeping us going and getting us through it all.

Aled Jones What effect has time had on you? Has time healed at all?

Kate McCann Yeah, its always funny that line, isn't it, 'Time's a healer.' I think the wounds are less raw. The pain doesn't go away and the anxiety is always there. I'm definitely a lot stronger than I was a year ago which is positive. Its funny because sometimes you beat yourself up about that because I think how come I'm doing OK and I'm coping better than I was? That's not right because, you know, nothing's changed for Madeleine. But, yeah, its important that I am because, you know, I've got three children one to look for and two to look after. Yes, its important that I can cope.

Aled Jones Do you feel guilty being happy in a way then?

Kate McCann Yeah, there is that element. I mean, I know its OK to be happy and its important for Sean and Amelie that we do have happy times but there is a little bit of guilt really and there's a little bit of discomfort in the ... being able to adapt I guess.

Aled Jones How important a word is 'hope' for you?

Kate McCann Oh very important. I mean we've obviously got hope, we've got a lot of hope really. A lot of hope that Madeleine's still alive. Obviously the difficult task is trying to find her. But whilst there's hope we'll keep going. Certainly we'll never give up.

Aled Jones So what's Madeleine like?

Kate McCann Oh in some ways you just want everyone to meet her because she's just an amazing little character full of personality, loads of energy, quite knowing, erm, really funny and loving and, you know her relationship with Sean and Amelie its incredible really. And thats something that still gets to me at times when I see them playing and then they start talking about Madeleine. Again, you know, we were away and Sean was digging in a sand pit and I said, "What are you doing?" and he said "Oh I'm digging up buried treasure, mummy, and I'm going to give it to Madleine." And you just kind of think what would it be like if the three of them were together, you know?

Aled Jones What are some of your most cherished memories?

Kate McCann Oh God, there's lots. I mean I used to take Madeleine swimming on a Saturday morning and she used to have this really tight swimming cap on and I'd be watching through the glass and she was the youngest there. I mean she was only three and she'd just walk along on her own, really confident and get in and these huge eyes would be looking at me through the glass and she'd just be waving, you know, "Hello mummy!" And, I mean, I'd be texting Gerry saying she's got me crying again. And just lying with her, you know, and little conversations. It had got to the stage where me and Madeleine would go for lunch together, you know. It felt like a real girl's day out.

Aled Jones I know you are a person of faith which I would like to talk about after we've had some music. I don't know if you listen to music at all.

Kate McCann Now we do. We listen to a lot of music. Its been a little bit strange to be honest because since Madeleine was taken from us I actually struggled quite a lot to listen to music and I'd actually put classical music on rather than anything remotely, I guess, happy, you know, with lyrics and stuff, dance type music anything like that but gradually I'm able to listen to it again now.

Aled Jones What would you like to listen to today?

Kate McCann Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol.

Aled Jones Why Snow Patrol?

Kate McCann Well this is a song that both myself and Gerry really liked and in fact after Madeleine had gone it was a song that was quite difficult to listen to actually. It kind of made us both quite upset because it reminded us of happy times with Madeleine but at the same time it reminded us of Madeleine so from that point of view it was quite a special song. And I think also the lyrics, "If I just lay here will you lie with me?" and Madeleine often used to say at bedtime "Lie with me mummy, lie with me daddy?" and they were special vivid moments.

SNOW PATROL - CHASING CARS

Aled Jones Snow Patrol there and Chasing Cars. The choice this morning of my guest, Kate McCann. Is every day bad?

Kate McCann No - not every day's bad. But, its strange I can have three or four days were, you know, the days just go basically. I'm working, I'm looking after Sean and Amelie. I get through a day, get up. Same thing the next day. And then something can suddenly out of the blue just really upset me and it can be something quite innocuous and it will just trigger something and I guess you are aware that you don't have to scratch too far below the surface for that emotion to come bubbling out. You get through it. I mean, lucklily the two of us together are quite a unit really. Usually the one of us can pull the other on up when needs be.

Aled Jones And what does it feel like having the world's glare on you?

Kate McCann Oh I think you take it for granted really, what being anonymous was like. Its been very hard. I mean I'm not the most confident person on the planet and I'd never be someone who would get up and give a presentation in work or anything, you know, I'd try and avoid it like the plague. But, we've obviously been forced into this situation.

Aled Jones You've changed a lot as well haven't you? Because
in the beginning you were very much in the background whereas now you're not.

Kate Mccann Absolutely. I think I was. Well obviously ... I was going through a lot of pain and distress but also I was just really uncomfortable, as you say, being in the spotlight. And then I had to kind of say to myself well why are we doing it? We are doing it to try and find Madeleine and its not about me. It doesn't matter how uncomfortable I feel, you know, its Madeleine that we are trying to help and forget about me, you know, move on, get over it, you know.

Aled Jones Are there times when you don't feel strong?

Kate McCann Oh yeah, yeah, there are. I mean there's been a lot of things in the last almost three years. Erm, not even just Madeleine being taken away from us which is obviously the worst but there's been many things that have happened subsequently and they can obviously be really low times, dark times where you do doubt your faith, I have to be honest. But at the same time, its strange because we've been through that I do believe there's a greater good. In some ways it kind of strengthens my faith really.

Aled Jones Because in a way what you are experiencing for many people would be hell on earth.

Kate McCann No, it is. I think it is the worst thing that could happen to a parent or certainly one of the worst things. I mean the pain is just, is just incredible and its a pain, you know the pain of worry for her really. I mean we live with the sadness of not having Madeleine in our lives but, you know, I am her mum and I can't help but worry about her and I just want to be with her. She has a sore tummy, I want to be there. When she is upset I want to be there. I just want to bring her back into the warmth and love of our family really.

Aled Jones Are there ever times when you blame God?

Kate Mccann I've never blamed God for what's happened at all. I don't think that that was anything to do with God. There are times when I've got angry with God and certainly the additional things that I've mentioned that have happened where I think how can we have extra suffering put on us at such an awful time and I just haven't understood it and I wondered why God hasn't interceded and tried to counter that. These are the times when I go off to church to be honest. I mean I've got a key to the church; they've kindly given me one and sometimes I'll go in and oh, its a bit of a sanctuary, its a bit of a refuge really. I'll go and I can speak out because, obviously, there's no-one there. Just get it all of my chest really. I mean, I do wonder, you know, why should God help with prayers when there are millions of people with prayers which are equally as important around the world. I don't know. I mean, I just hope he does. My faith has sustained me a lot through all of this and there is a definite comfort there.

Aled Jones Has your faith changed at all?

Kate McCann I think it has probably got stronger. Definitely, I think before all this happened I'd never really had to question my faith. You know, it was there. I believed in God. I had little conversations with God in my head but I'd never really had to challenge it. I was just comfortable with my relationship with my faith, and with God. But its definitely got stronger now. Its probably more intense.

The day I was made arguido was quite an interesting day with regards to my faith. I'd had a period of about four to six weeks prior to that where there had obviously been a shift in the investigation and suddenly none of the police were talking to us. We couldn't have a meeting. People didn't want to have phone conversations with us and we were left in this awful void of information really. So we were trying to cope with the pain of not having Madeleine but also not having any information at all and not knowing at all what was going on. And then that led into the period were suddenly there were these awful stories coming out in the media about supposed blood in the apartment and basically pointing the finger at us. And then obviously that subsequently finished with us being arguido and the day I was going in for my arguido interview it was quite a strange day because I had been really low and feeling quite weak and fragile and then suddenly I just felt really strong. I mean I was angry, I was angry that people hadn't been looking for Madeleine but also I just thought to myself I know the truth and God knows the truth and nothing else matters and I just felt really strong from there. I felt a real inner strength.

Aled Jones Do you think God's looking after Madeleine?

Kate McCann I do. I mean to me Madeleine was a gift. Most of our life is pretty public anyway but obviously we had quite a difficult time trying to have Madeleine and when she was born I really did believe she was a gift and I never took her for granted....

You know, every day when I'd wake up and I'd see her, these huge eyes looking at me, you know, I'd thank God for Madeleine and I don't believe that He would stop loving her now or abandon her and I don't believe that at all and I do get a comfort in thinking that whereever she is, whoever she is with that He is with her and protecting her, and protecting her spirit. She's got a lot of spirit.

Aled Jones Do you find that your prayers have changed over the years?

Kate McCann I guess they are a little bit more, err, directed now. The prayer that I used to say all the time was to keep the family, thank God for my family and to keep Gerry, Madeleine, Sean and Amelie safe, healthy and happy. I always said that. Which, when it happened to be honest was a little bit of a struggle because that was the one prayer that I said all the time. I pray for lots of things now, really, obviously I always pray for the family. Obviously most of the prayers are centred on Madeleine really, but I pray for the people who have taken Madeleine, the people who know whats happened to Madeleine and the people around related to the person who has taken Madeleine. I pray for the police and the investigators, people who are looking for her. And I pray for all the other children who are missing or being exploited in some ways. Because in some ways, funny to say lucky, but we have been lucky, we've had a lot of support from the general public in particular, people we don't know. I mean we've had incredible support. And there's many families out there whose children have gone missing and you don't hear about it.

Aled Jones Gerry said that his faith has been strengthened by the goodness generated by this ordeal. So there are positives that come out of it?

Kate McCann Oh very much so. I mean we still get a bundle of mail every day from people, you know, willing us on and sending their best wishes. Children send pictures for Madeleine and stuff; you know, we have books of prayers sent for Madeleine that children have written. Its been amazing, its been a real eye-opener. I'd have never thought of sitting down and writing a letter to somebody I didn't know who had suffered a tragic event and yet the strength its give us has been amazing.

Aled Jones It would be understandable for you to be filled with hate and anger and rage and you're not at all?

Kate McCann I've had my moments. If I went back to 2008 I think I did probably have a lot of anger on board and its such a horrible negative emotion. I'm pleased to say that that anger has gone now. I feel so much better than I did in 2008.

Aled Jones Do you think you'd ever be able to forgive the people that took Madeleine?

Kate McCann Its a difficult one isn't it. I guess I don't know why they've taken her and I think until I know that it would be hard, hard to say. I mean I'd like to hope that I could but its difficult.

Aled Jones On Mothering Sunday do you have a message for other mothers who are maybe experiencing similar emotions to what you are going through?

Kate McCann Yeah, I think, erm, dig deep really, just keep hoping and lean on your family and friends really. Gather their love, surround yourself with positive people but don't give up hope

Aled Jones Thank you so much for talking to me.

Kate McCann Thank you

Thank you Autumn. I will need to read it again, and digest it properly, but some of the things she says are really so weird.

quote:. It had got to the stage where me and Madeleine would go for lunch together, you know. It felt like a real girl's day out

. And................. Sean said, "Yes mummy, but when thats over, when Madeleine's home what will you do?" You know, and you think oh, you know, 'Bring it on', you know

bring it on??????????

I'm just going to read it again.

Kate McCann says in her Aled Jones interview that

"Kate McCann says her faith has given her 'inner strength'

She also says her belief in God gave her an "inner strength" on the day Portuguese police made her a suspect or "arguido" in the little girl's disappearance."

Really really? 'Coz I could've sworn (no pun intended) that it was that delightful mantra silently directed at Ricardo that gave her strength - 'f**king t***er' wasn't it?
"'F***ing t***er, f***ing t***er, f***ing t***er'. This quiet chant kept me calm, kept me under control. This man did not deserve my respect. 'F***ing t***er..."
Er, fair enough, Kate. But which was it really? God, or gutter language?

The swimming comment was very strange. First, Madeleine must be the only 3 yr old in Britain to wear a swimming cap. Can you even buy them these days? Sometimes I think Kate McCann recycles stories from her own childhood, as she had so little interaction with Madeleine.

And then the sight of the girl's "huge eyes" and bravery makes Kate cry and text Gerry to say how sweet Madeleine is. Yet a few months later they can't even be bothered to look after their children on holiday - they are so cold they leave them all day and all night and find nothing odd about it at all (or so their story goes).

Aled... - So what is Madeleine like?

Kate - Erm someone you just want everyone to meet her cos, erm she’s just an amazing little character full of personality loads of energy, quite knowing, erm , really funny and loving and you know her relationship with Sean and Amelie, it’s incredible really and that ‘s something which still gets to me at times. When I see them playing and they start talking about Madeleine, again, you know, when we were away Sean was digging in the sandpit and I said “What are you doing?” he said “ I’m digging up buried treasure mummy and I’m going to give it to Madeleine.” And you just kind of think really, what would it be like for the three of them to be together?

Wow, that was a really nasty question that they sort of threw in there big grin

Er, Katey, 'nothing else matters?' I would've thought that IT REALLY MATTERS. INFO ON ABDUCTOR? WHERE MADDIE IS AND WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?
Or have you Katey just 'fessed up that ONLY YOU and GOD know what happened to her - nobody else? Oh, you drop yourself further into the pit you've dug yourself every time you speak. Throw the shovel away eh,love?

Juliet

I have to agree with you. I haven't seen a swimming cap since I was at school! K doesn't seem to have a maternal bone in her body, yes she does 'mum things' but she doesn't seem to have a 'mums heart' to go with it, IYKWIM. She seems almost robotic to me.

Molly

LOL. Poor Kate. Must be really hard to explain to someone what your much wanted, much loved daughter was like!

Kate McCann still spewing the lies......the pay day is round the corner though. The BBC are pathetic to even contemplate her being a 'mother'....Apart from leaving her 3year old daughter (and 2 year old twins) in the first place while she went out dining and getting drunk night after night...THEN LEAVING HER TWINS ALL ALONE AT THE MERCY OF ABDUCTORS WHEN SHE FIRST DISCOVERED MADDIE HAD GONE MISSING...Is there any pictures of this so called mother with her daughter or even her twins on the holiday....NO NOT ONE!! Just a few photoshopped ones that her husband had to go back to England to get!!!! (though none with the mother)...her husband and her husband male friends bathed her daughter...Her husband even made sure a friend went to check on her when she was alone with her kids....And the BBC say this is a mother!!!!

Shame on you BBC, you are sooo spineless you make me laugh....but then they were always bias in Political terms....When a story comes out, compare all the other news channels to the BBC and you will see quite clearly the BBC have a totally bias slant on it....funny that!....Even without Alistair Campbell...who is running you now...Matthew Freud?

The McCanns....D-Day is nearly upon us, am really looking forward to seeing you both get what you both so richly deserve...and all your cronies (especially smethurst, kennedy and carter ruck)....watch this space hahahaha
...Be afraid, be very afraid...I can't wait...I really want to expose you all and bring you all down (and I will), you have brought shame to my country and I will do what is neccessary to prove that the rest of our society are honest and good people who don't hold the vulgar and disgusting values you do

Kate McCann 'Mothers Day Interview' - BBC Radio 2 - Page 2 Empty Yummy mummy.

Post by tigger 24.10.11 10:47

From the interview:

OK, from the top, other posters have commented on the swimming cap, was the make up waterproof? Because on the one in the pool she is definitely wearing make up once again. Was the swimming cap necessary because her hair was bleached? That would be the only reason to do it. imo.
Texting Gerry saying she's crying with the joy of Maddie - errm there's a limit to our gullibility.
The big eyes, in the book too, they are big, big eyes. Only in the poster does she have big eyes. Absolutely the only shot. In all the other ones her eyes tend to be rather puffy, certainly not big.
Little conversations, shame you never gave us further details on these, in fact these are amazing fun with children that age. Judging by the crying incident and Maddie asking you that question, the rapport with your child left something to be desired.
She was like your best friend again as you once said? She was you child, a toddler, a real girl's day out would be with your mate Fiona.
You would presumably have lunch together, going out for lunch - the language refers to older people, contemporaries.

She was very loving, Kate said. I've never heard her say that she loved her to bits. Yes, in interviews, the standard ' we lovv er vury much. (Why don't they get rid of those awful accents, well no point, you'd still have the awful voices to go with it) but it's part of the script.

Interesting point about only bleached hair needing a swimming cap....but I still K McCann she made up this incident, along with the "let's do lunch Madeleine" tales.

She seems never to have a believable story about Madeleine, or her likes and dislikes. Can we believe a 3 yr old was into Doctor Who and Harry Potter??

I sometimes wonder if the poor child did actually live with the McCanns, or whether she was fostered out to other members of the family for most of the time.

Two points: one is that Kate Mccann often makes reference to "lying" with Madeleine. Was the child often ill so that the mother had to lie next to her?

Also, I do wonder if the "in the pool" picture is actually an "in the bath" picture by the famous Paul Grover.

This is a very good observation Juliet. I think you are right. Compared to the other ones and famous ice cream picture......the hair, face, mouth, eyes, eyebrows are the same and are taken on the same day! ie same photoshoot. Looking at the pool one, this does look to me that the head has been photoshopped onto a pool image...the neck down looks very weird and doesn't fit in right with the head. And the 'style' of the image is the same ie same camera lens with that slight blur which I guess is made to look trendy art effect. Looking like this photoshoot with Paul Grover is becoming a main source for the pictures, and the ones which do not have his signature are the ones which have been manipulated and photoshopped

Also, the one with Maddie laying on her back is taken inside an house in the UK (look at the skirting boards), so the pool one could not have been taken in a pool in PDL
