Re: Interview with Father Haynes Hubbard 5 year on
Well? Is no-one going to mention it?
Before I say what, can people remember about posting about Maddies head being too big for the body and therefore MUST have been photoshopped?
Look at the picture on the right of the Father...I'm assuming a genuine photograph? The head looks way out of proportion in that particular photo.
My point is certain photos can look so wrong.

Why is he not wearing one of those green & yellow bands?
Is he stupid or colour blind or something?
Surely, he's not secretly venting his opinion that the poor little mite has ascended to Heaven?

Kate in a miniskirt with boots like leather gumboots (most ungainly) -
- she looks spooked and twitchy -
Gerry in nerdy running-shoes, JeremyClarkson jeans, polo shirt, shiny zip-up jacket...
(he never needs a scarf)
...and that jumper - "I could've been in the army"!
I am guessing the schoolgirl pictured with them is a Hubbard.
My thoughts only.

The photogenic Rev Fr Haynes Hubbard....
Very media-friendly, our Haynes-baby. Some photographs I've come across :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
(snipped from brunopress.com)
One on the left'd make a lovely passport picture. I wonder if he still wears his GQ wristband?
Horsing around with the camera crews :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
(also snipped from brunopress.com)
I don't think I've ever intentionally touched a priest before - third and fourth pictures across -
- a European gesture, perhaps?
Rev Fr Hubbard's vicarmobile comes with a fish symbol :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
...and a tatty poster of poor little Missing Madeleine.
Why the red pen in his priestly black shirt?
Seems a strange colour for a vicar to want to write in.
My opinions only.

Mrs Susan Hubbard...

(snipped from gerrymccannsblogs.co.uk, with thanks)
Mrs Hubbard also appears to favour golden helix earrings...!
(they are similar to the ones Kate wore to see the Pope)

Is the note above from Mrs Hubbard, or is it written on her behalf?
I ask because to me it looks like the handwriting of someone...
...educated outside of the British colonial system.
My opinion only.

A load of crock...?
Please, if any posters do get the chance to look at an updated version of Crockford -
(the clerical directory for the Church of England)
- would you mind please checking to see if the spelling of Rev H.Q. Hubbard's name has been remedied.
All the news media has him styled as "Haynes Quentin Hubbard".
Crockford has him down as "Haynes Quinton Hubbard" in their 2010/2011 edition.
Presumably only one of these is the right spelling.

Though I doubt any of this is remotely relevant to anyone's ability to progress the case for MBM, and is simply a distraction, for the sake of completeness please find below a screenshot of a summary of his birth record taken from Ancestry.com

The number three...
A third spelling of Quentin/Quinton/Quintin...!
I wasn't expecting that.
Many thanks, Knitted.
I'd still be interested in what spelling is given in the newest edition of Crockford.

Re: Interview with Father Haynes Hubbard 5 year on
I find this snippet from an article in the Christian Post rather telling, as regards the nature of the priest and the vicar
Pacheco indicated that he already expected the church to be involved in the police investigations.
"I find it perfectly normal that police would carry out searches in Praia da Luz, and not excepting the church," the Catholic priest said.
Anglican priest Hubbard, meanwhile, has said he believed it to be "ridiculous" to imagine that the church could be used to conceal anything in the Madeleine case.

Vacancies at St Vincent's...
Good observation there, Rufus T.
'Ludicrous' 'ridiculous' and 'preposterous' have almost become code words to me -
- as in 'there might be something in what you are alleging'. Doublespeak...?
I'm convinced that the Church lies at the heart of this mystery story.
I've had a scratch about on the St Vincent Algarvian Anglican parish website today -
it seems Rev Lars Nowen is off to Canada at the end of the month...
...meanwhile, St Vincent's is in vacancy - the website says :
"Watch this space for news of our new chaplains".
This Google search result had me wondering if Haynes-Baby is back in town :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Perhaps doing a stretch as a locum?
My thoughts only.

What's with the red pens...?
This slippery priest character is canny enough to obscure his (expensive looking) gold watch face -
- in the Daybreak interview posted by j.rob on another thread -
- yet displays a red biro in his left breast pocket with aplomb :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Back in 2007, he even sported two red pens over his priestly heart :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
Weird - I can't think of what a vicar'd be wanting to write in red ink for -
(English pharmacists write in hospital notes in green ink, for instance)
- red ink is associated with teachers marking papers, making corrections, ticks or crosses...
...also with accountancy - to denote debt, as in 'in the red'.
Is it the new Bibles that have Jesus's words all written in red?
Slightly off-topic, but I hadn't realised before that green ink was associated with kooks (and spooks):

The ecclesiastical escort...
Good Lord! Our Anglo-Canadian Rev Fr Haynes Quintin/Quentin/Quinton Hubbard's a bit of a gadder...
...he was doing Tour Guide duties for a Canadian touring/cruises/holiday company in Calgary back in 2004 :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
(snipped from rostad.com, with thanks)
That's him covering 'The Beauty and Holiness of Scotland'... (nowhere near a certain lass of Ullapool, I take it) -
- and I was relieved to discover 'Swing with the Pharoahs' means 'play golf in Egypt'.
Our holy wanderer also hosted a tour of English cathedrals the year before :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
He'd've had to have been to these places beforehand, surely - to know his stuff...?

Well the color red does have certain associations. If one is to subscribe to a theory that there are cults and sects operating within what does appear to be a 'murder mystery.'
In my opinion Gerry McCann is The Joker. So I would be suspicious of anyone who is a close friend of his. Father Seddon looks as dodgy as they come, imo.
Can't believe it's a 'coincidence' that he got drafted into Luz so soon after Madeleine's 'abduction'. Bet the Hubbards knew the Mcs prior to that fateful week. And quite well too I suspect.
I can't imagine why else they would be so very supportive of a couple who 'lost' their daughter in highly suspicious circumstances.

Re: Interview with Father Haynes Hubbard 5 year on
Not that I like to defend the Hubbards, they make my skin crawl as much that couple of pathetic parents do, but I am pretty sure the transfer was arranged long before. It would be impossible to arrange a move on such short terms.
You can always state that what happened was arranged as soon as the Hubbards knew they were being relocated. Somehow I doubt that. I think the Hubbards are, like all those who jumped on the TM bandwagon, just plain opportunists who look for publicity, money or both or just their 15 min of fame.

The Priest with the Number of the Beast...
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
I'm not sure I'd want to have 666 appearing in my telephone number -
- at the beginning, end and in the middle of it -
- especially if I were a priest!
I'm still perplexed by the different spellings of his 'Q' name.
Although he is not this particular American Quinton Hubbard,
the nickname of this guy cracked me up :

I think this case has all the hallmarks of some kind of occultism. The sleazy 'priest'; the Mcs high profile visit to the pope; the beyond weird photos released (e.g: the supposed birthday photo with Kate brandishing a dagger above the cake).
There are 'cults' attached to the case - Freemasonry, Medicine. The 'myth' of the 'perfect family' and the myth that doctors would not do anything to harm anyone, especially their own child.
There are some parallels with the Jon Benet Ramsey case, imo.
And a great many red flags that 'paedo rings' are at least partly behind all this.
Look at the timing of the assassination of the Belgian PM.
Why was Jill Dando shot on her doorstep at point blank range?

This always seemed rather excessive, I mean a set of St Andrews clubs do not come cheap and I tend to think of Gerald as the type to peel an orange in his pocket. Having checked Father Seddon's rog. it does say " um taco de golfe" which I believe translates as - a golf club, not a set.Guest wrote:tigger wrote:

Blimey Tigger, I never bought my registrar a set of golf clubs!! Come to that I don't recall anyone taking his mobile phone number either.

Generous and Jokerous Gerry...
Many thanks for that clarification, Rufus T -
- yes, that makes much more sense.
No golfers on this forum, I take it?
I hadn't heard the 'peel an orange in his pocket' expression before -
- good one - I'm still laughing at your 'a poultice of a man' description -
- re. Mr Mohamed Al McFayed.
Gerry McCann as the Joker, j.rob?
It seems you are not alone in your thoughts :

A former Crimewatch producer'd have to know their villains, wouldn't they?

Re: Interview with Father Haynes Hubbard 5 year on
Came across an article in The Telegraph dated 12th September 2007 in which Hubbard gives a rather different view on the searching of the church to the one he gave the Christian Post on 19th September 2007 -Rufus T wrote:I find this snippet from an article in the Christian Post rather telling, as regards the nature of the priest and the vicar
Pacheco indicated that he already expected the church to be involved in the police investigations.

Anglican vicar for the Algarve, Father Haynes Hubbard said he had not heard of any searches of the church, but welcomed police inside.
“I hope they search it, I hope they search it very well, and maybe they can find something,” he said.

Father Haynes Hubbard, back in the day...
A couple more old mentions and pictures of Fr Hubbard :
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
(not afraid to rock bracelets then, either)
[url=prayerbook.ca/.../PBSC-Newsletter-Easter.]prayerbook.ca/.../PBSC-Newsletter-Easter.[/url]
(yet another mis-spelling of the fellow's name)
He has very much the same colouring as Kate -
- it'd be interested to know how they are related.
Father Hubbard makes my teeth itch - he's just 'off' -
- yet I've never minded Mrs Hubbard, oddly enough.
She seems sensible and a good sort in a crisis -
a 'calm hands, brandy and a scone' type of woman.
My thoughts only.
