Good afternoon Nina! And thank you. A treat in the form of Bernt's next interview would be great - will it be out on Nov 1st or did I misunderstand that? I'm about a quarter through his book so far and it is a gripping read.

That will be worth watching and then discussing for sure. In honesty I don't know the date but maybe Jill will be able to answer that. I am full of admiration that you are so far into the book, I have very little time to spend reading and the book is like my laptop always open but not being attended to.

I spent 2 1/2 hours sat in an NHS waiting room today and just felt I could have been doing X, Y and Z. Whilst on here I am listening to  Tommy Robinson video playing at the same time. Multi tasking haha.

Anyway good to have you on the forum and look forward to reading posts from you about the case of Madeleine, bless her heart.

Ooh, thank you! I was just about to introduce myself, and found messages that are welcoming me already - what a pleasant surprise! I am just about to film the part 3 for my youtube series, but it will be nothing long or fancy, just an announcement that I have the Brick now, and I am on it :) I will film it with an infrared stealth camera though, seems like the right aesthetical choice for the occasion...
I hope you all are doing good, and thanks again for welcoming me!

Thank you! Yes i will post a review, and Bernt promised to show up in zoom call with me again once I have read it. Exciting! Gosh, it was adventurous to do an interview with him, to step in to the fire, I knew everyone he has captured on surveillance is going to watch. I got nothing but good to say about him though, such a kind person, and goes from hilarious to serious and back real smooth.

It'll take some days of editing, and building up to the JE2 podcast.
I'm guessing 7th to 10th November.

I don't mind you being biased with your own theory and book thumbsup

Pat Brown even did a "review" without having read the book 😁

I write "review", since in a normal review of a theory, you present all arguments the author presents for that theory, and not just call it nonsense...and mispresenting content in the book, revealing she didn't read it.

I have no theory and my book is little more than an attempt to deconstruct and dismantle a myth.

Bernt Stellander interview - Page 6 Empty Re: Bernt Stellander interview

Post by moxie.blacksmith 01.11.24 11:32

I have been catching up here in the forum, since I joined recently and a lot of commentary exists already, and there is one thing I would like to respond to, even though I am a bit late for that.

When I uploaded that first clip from the full interview I did with Bernt, the one where we laugh about crimes confessed in public so far, and someone asked if that was wise - I just wanna open my thinking process in all that. I did that decision, but obviously it was not a live recording, you can see how many days there is between recording and publishing from the stealth camera time stamp towards the end. I offered him thinking time, if there is anything that needs to be removed, before I hit publish - I know its a live game out there at this time, and I got huge respect for that, I dont want to step any toes or rock any boats here... But... you all ended up getting the entire thing with nothing left out :) Only whatever audio tests, some shaved seconds at the ends and beginnings of new recordings and so on, but no question or answers left out at all...

But this is where I think the wisdom is at, why I decided to go and touch the topic of criminal activities - I was looking to record emotional / social / psychological answers/solutions, not any specific factual/forensic detailed data to draw from at all. And he had already touched that topic in public before. What I am asking to record and to show in public is, that digging towards this topic is safe! That there is no entitlement here (I knew there isnt, but its what people will get scared about sometimes and I wanted to close that door): that there´s no violation of people who are genuinely outsiders (I ask it in other part of the full interview as well, that the random people will not get dragged in even if they accidentally walked in to a surveillance trap), that he is not scared about legal stuff (already knew this from previous interview). I was expecting for these things to be too obvious for him to verbalize spontaneously (I think I was right?? Because he does ¨Oh yea no no no¨ and continues to the next thing, without a need to defend at all), but I got to say, I was expecting for the answers to be something more official, like ¨Yes I was working in collaboration with such and such legal environment / police/lawyers¨ etc ...and instead we hopped in to more punk, more cowboy yeehaw atmosphere. LOL. Which I am also comfortable with. You can see my expectation at the part where I ask if he could say ¨kids, dont do illegal surveillance (without collaboration with police, lawyers, what have you)¨ and he did not do that like I was expecting. Like I said, more punk than expected.

This is not the first ex-military, or punk, or man who likes to play with fire I am corresponding with! Not even the first time I talk with someone outside of a failed system who shows up to push that systemic failure. Simply first one in the public.

Does this make sense? I decided to touch the topic to record whatever comes up as a proof that this is a safe direction to touch. My real, literal question is: Could you show me more about the sense of safety displayed in the previous interview? If it hadnt been safe, I would have simply cut it out. He gives relaxed atmosphere, jokes, then clean record for military, diplomat etc things, then philosophical statement about sin, then (in uncut version), relating with people on different side of society (junkies), then the reasoning/empathy for how circumstances can make people react in extreme ways (you should never say I wouldnt do this or that in a situation, more realistic answer is that you dont know how you react in a situation). So I felt confident even during the recording, that this direction has been proven safe: he is not spending time defending guilt, instead he went for empathy for the people who have done worse things.

I think the viewer can easily see he does not feel cornered. This is the main reason I hit publish.
(The second best reason was that I was laughing while editing as well, not just on the recording...)

Moxie, Your interview with Bernt was great. It was human and natural with no fancy gimics.
In Bernts book he displays great integrity and honesty which is almost like you are sat having an open conversation with him and that keeps the reader engaged and the topic is easy to understand and digest. He is the same in his interviews.
What I would say is to make sure you have your batteries and lights and everything you need to hand, before you start your interview otherwise it is distracting for the listener/watcher of the interview itself.
I'm sure whatever you put out into the public domain will be just right. If in doubt, get a second opinion of your edited version before you publish.
I personally loved your set up as it was natural human and honest which is as safe as you can get really. You come across as your true authentic self just like Bernt does in his interviews. I like to see and hear that.
