I would love to ask Wolters if he could confirm this. If it is true, then I would like to ask him why he did that.

He met Hans Wolters with a journalist called Rob Hyde who had been in his office 3 times before.
So maybe Hyde arranged the meeting.
Clarke goes into detail about the questions he asked Wolters and the answers he gave.

A former BKA employee is making serious allegations in the case of the suspect who allegedly killed Maddie McCann. This could jeopardise the trial against him.

It is a motion with explosive force. One that nobody expected to hear this Friday in the courtroom of the district court in Braunschweig. A former employee of the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) claims that the suspect's custody cells in the Maddie McCann case were equipped with bugging technology. She is said to have told Christian B.'s lawyers this and also provided photos to prove it. The lawyers therefore requested this morning that the witness be heard in the trial.

During the alleged wiretapping measures, telephone conversations between the alleged murderer Christian B. and his lawyers could apparently also have been tapped. In the motion, they therefore question whether it is even possible to conduct a trial in accordance with the rule of law.

The trial was adjourned on Friday following the arraignment and the lawyers' motion.

The former BKA employee is said to have sent an email to defence lawyer Friedrich Fülscher. In it, she wrote that she had been responsible for wiretapping measures in the BKA's "Operativtechnik Audio (OE33-3)" department. In this function, she had been involved in preparations for the installation of bugging technology in Christian B.'s cell. According to the application, two BKA officers had told her that they had a personal score to settle with Christian B. and that she was therefore sure that they were up to something.

The fact that the witness actually worked for the BKA can be seen from an employer's reference, which is said to be attached to the application. It describes her work at the BKA as she stated.

Were there bugging measures?

Maddie McCann, an almost four-year-old British girl, disappeared without a trace from a holiday flat in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in 2007 and has been missing ever since. The German Christian B., who lived there at the time, is considered the main suspect. So far, however, there is no concrete evidence of a crime. Christian B. is on trial at Braunschweig District Court for five other offences that he allegedly committed in Portugal between December 2000 and June 2017. The charges relate to alleged rape and sexual abuse. B. has already been sentenced to seven years in prison in one trial, but a retrial is currently underway.

In order to obtain information about the offences he is accused of, the BKA officers apparently resorted to wiretapping. The application filed by B.'s lawyers also includes photos showing parts of the wiretapping equipment.

Additional cables can be seen leading away from the telephone socket in the cell. B.'s lawyer writes that the images originate from a chat between the witness and the BKA officers. They had had questions for the witness and had therefore sent the pictures to her.

One of Christian B.'s lawyers, Philipp Marquort from Kiel, is shocked by the police's actions: "The defence still has no knowledge of this process, apart from the information from the witness." He finds it adventurous that such important information is not disclosed to the court, "but also to the defence by the public prosecutor's office". He believes his client's fundamental rights have been violated. "We cannot yet say whether the surveillance was legal or illegal. However, the client only spoke to his defence lawyers on the phone. Monitoring the defence lawyers' conversations is illegal."

But how credible is the witness? According to B.'s lawyers, she showed them her work certificate. According to this, she had always shown great commitment and identified with her tasks.

The reference was signed by a head of unit at the BKA, and a BKA stamp was also said to be on it.

From: KAI FELDHAUS - BILD

Braunschweig - The defense lawyers for Christian Brückner (47) filed four motions on the second day of the rape trial.
One motion could make things uncomfortable for the public prosecutor's office and the BKA.

The man who allegedly abducted and murdered little Madeleine McCann (then 3) in 2007 is currently on trial for three rapes and two cases of sexual abuse of children. After the indictment was read out, Brückner's defense team requested that three more witnesses be called in addition to the 40 previously scheduled.

One of them, according to defence lawyer Dr. Friedrich Fülscher (39), was a former operations technician from the Federal Criminal Police Office. She had contacted the defense lawyers by e-mail.

In her letter, the technician claims to have bugged Brückner's cell in Kiel prison in order to gather incriminating material against him. The telephone used by the suspect to speak to his lawyers had also been tapped. The ex-policewoman also claimed that BKA colleagues had said at a briefing that they had "a personal score to settle" with the Maddie suspect and therefore had "something else planned for him." The most serious accusation in the email to the defense lawyers: Former colleagues had even manipulated evidence in order to influence proceedings

Fülscher did not mention the names of the BKA investigators mentioned in the e-mail. A piquant fact: several Federal Criminal Police Office officers involved in the case are to be heard as witnesses in the course of the proceedings.

Fülscher also requested that senior public prosecutor Vanessa Beyse be heard as a witness because she had assigned an undercover investigator to Brückner in Wolfenbüttel prison. According to the defense attorney, both measures were unsuccessful - but the public prosecutor's office had not informed him of either.

As a third additional witness, Brückner's defence lawyer Dr. Dennis Bock (45) requested that an expert witness be called. This expert had considerable doubts about a BKA report that attributed a hair found at the scene of the 2004 rape in Praia da Luz to the accused. Brückner was sentenced to seven years in prison for this crime in 2019, which he is currently serving in Sehnde Prison.

The public prosecutor's office initially refused to comment on whether the defendant's cell was really bugged. The court presided over by Dr. Uta Inse Engemann will decide on the motions in the coming days of the trial.

The trial will continue on March 1.

Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner 'took van and two cars he owned back to his native Germany where he had them scrapped after three-year-old girl vanished'

Sources claim Brueckner took vehicles to a scrapyard close to his German lair

By MATTHEW LODGE

PUBLISHED: 19:00, 25 February 2024 | UPDATED: 19:00, 25 February 2024

Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner took vehicles he owned from Portugal to Germany where he had them scrapped after she vanished, it is claimed.

The paedophile, who was living in the Algarve when the three-year-old disappeared in 2007, took one van and two cars back to his home country where he disposed of them.

Among them was a white Mercedes Sprinter van which was similar to one police say he owned in Portugal, with photos obtained by The Sun showing it parked in woodland in East Germany.

The exact date the vehicles were moved back to Germany is not known, with sources claiming he would often visit a scrapyard that was close to his secret hideout where he was found to have horrific images and videos.

The owners of the scrapyard, which has since closed down, claimed it was not a secret that Brueckner had used the site but police still had not contacted them about him.

Brueckner is the chief suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann (pictured), who vanished in Praia da Luz in 2007

Brueckner is currently on trial for a catalogue of offences  on Portugal's Algarve coast between 2000 and 2017 which are unrelated to Madeleine's disappearance.

These include the rape of an Irish holiday rep, a woman aged between 70 and 80, and an unknown girl aged around 14, as well as the sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl. Brueckner denies all the charges against him.

The paedophile had bought an abandoned factory in the former East German settlement of Neuwegersleben, with sources saying he was known to store vehicles there.

The scrapyard where he is said to have disposed of his vehicles was located in Helmstedt, a 25 minute drive away from the site.

A source told the The Sun that the 47-year-old's white van was 'well-known locally' and used the large rear section to have 'hook-ups' with women who he met online.

They added: 'He told me he regularly took old vehicles to the scrapyard in Helmstedt but of course no one thought anything of it at the time.'

Brueckner, who lived in a trailer on the factory site, was found to have disturbing videos and images on a memory card when it was searched by police in 2016.

The owner of the scrapyard told The Sun: 'German law requires that you keep all records for at least ten years.

'But the thing is, none of the police divisions came round to ask us anything, which you could say is surprising.'

Brueckner has been named as the chief suspect in the vanishing of Madeleine, who vanished from Praia da Luz on May 3, 2007.

Madeleine McCann (pictured) went missing on May 3, 2007, during a family holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal

He has not been charged over her disappearance and has denied having anything to do with it.

Brueckner is currently serving a seven year sentence for raping an elderly US woman on the Algarve in 2005 and was jailed in 2019.

He is currently on trial in Germany for a catalogue of sexual offences in Portugal over the course of more than a decade, with two former friends who gave evidence in that helped convict him before set to testify at his new trial.

The victims include holiday rep Hazel Behan, another woman aged between 70 and 80, and an unknown girl of around 14, as well as a 10-year-old girl who is said to have been assaulted on a beach close to where Madeleine disappeared and another child.

The alleged attacks took place just minutes from where then three-year-old Madeleine vanished from the holiday apartment in Praia da Luz in May 2007 where she was staying with parents Kate and Gerry and her siblings.

However, the case is perilously close to collapsing after Brueckner's legal team claimed his phone calls had been 'illegally' wiretapped by Germany's answer to the FBI - alleging that they had unlawfully listened in to conversations with his lawyers.

During a hearing on Friday on the unrelated rape and sexual assault charges, Brueckner's legal team said they had been contacted by a former German federal police officer who claimed she had been involved in 'illegally' wiretapping his phone.

The allegation could put the case in serious doubt.

The woman, who was not named, provided photographs of the bugging equipment which was used, she says, to listen in on conversations between Brueckner and his lawyers, which is illegal.

According to the application filed the woman claimed that two colleagues were 'out to get Brueckner' and were 'willing to resort to any means'.

Mr Marquort said: 'The defence still has no knowledge of this process, apart from the information from the witness.

'We cannot yet say whether the surveillance was legal or illegal. However, the client only spoke to his defence lawyers on the phone. Monitoring the defence lawyers' conversations is illegal.'

The full horror of Brueckner's sex crime allegations were also revealed in court last week.

Shocking details of how Brueckner's alleged victim Hazel Behan, who said she was attacked in 2004 while working in the Algarve as a tour guide, feared she would be 'beheaded' by her attacker were read out in court.

The other two rapes he is accused of against an unknown woman aged between 70 and 80 years old and a girl of 14 were also described in horrific details, with the prosecutor saying Brueckner 'hit the [older] woman's body and face with at least 20 lashes' using a whip and made the teenager vomit while orally raping her.

There wouldn't be any paperwork if he or a friend of his drove them to Germany.
The scrapyard perhaps got rid of any paperwork after the 10 year period required to keep records.

Just another attempt at Distraction.

Helge B stole the Ascona from Brückner’s Finca in PDL while he was in Prison with Michael T for Diesel theft. 2006/7 according to Manfred S.

Brückner only bought the Box factory site in 2008/9.

From: VON T. SCHOLTYSECK
23.02.2016 - 4:57 p.m.

Neuwegersleben (Saxony-Anhalt) - On Tuesday morning, more than a hundred police officers suddenly moved through the small village of Neuwegersleben in the Börde region. They combed the huge site of the old crate factory on the edge of the community.
The large-scale raid against a 39-year-old man was about child pornography and illegal waste disposal!
The two-hectare site of the old crate factory has been empty for a quarter of a century. Smashed windows, rubbish everywhere. Behind the large iron gate is an old caravan.

Residents were surprised in the morning. One neighbour: "It was quite a surprise when so many officials came to our small town on Tuesday morning."
In some places, heavy equipment is being driven over the site. In other places, officers in waders are busy with the searches.
At first, the police were investigating suspected illegal waste disposal. But then they came across evidence that the user of the property was allegedly in possession of illegal child pornography.
Police spokesman Marc Becher confirms: "The large number of officers deployed is due to the size of the area to be searched." However, the 39-year-old accused was not there during the raid.

Becher: "As child pornography is suspected, the central office at the Halle public prosecutor's office is conducting the entire investigation. It will take some time until the seized mobile phones, data carriers and computers have been analysed."
As the man also has a second home in Braunschweig, the premises and a garden plot there were also searched. The public prosecutor's office will only decide on further action against the accused once the computer data has been analysed.

More likely that Brückner allows others to Dump their Vehicles there?
No mention of Maddie in this Report from 2016.
Even though CB was invited as a Witness in 2013 by the BKA.

ROAD TO JUSTICE Madeleine McCann cops ‘deluged with new tip-offs’ about Christian Brueckner as they ‘break through case brick wall’
Investigators are hoping the new evidence will help them crack the case
Aliki Kraterou
Published: 10:07, 26 Feb 2024Updated: 10:07, 26 Feb 2024

GERMAN cops leading the probe into Madeleine McCann have been inundated with new tip-offs and evidence that could be "vital."

Investigators are optimistic they are finally able to crack the case after "hitting a brick wall" due to the new information they've received following Christian Brueckner's court appearance.

The paedophile, 47, appeared before court last week facing the charges of three rapes and two sex assaults.

Despite being named as the prime suspect in Maddie's disappearance in 2020 he has not been charged.

But now a source close to the case told The Sun Online that detectives in Germany have received new leads and clues which they “hope could prove vital”.

And cops hope his appearance in court will continue to generate even more information in the days ahead.

The source said: "New information has been coming in ever since Brueckner appeared in court last week.

"It’s a massive boost for German detectives because their investigation had really hit a bit of a brick wall.

"So they are really pleased about this, and really hope this will give fresh impetus to the investigation into what happened to Madeleine.

"They remain convinced Christian Brueckner was either involved in Maddie’s disappearance or knows about how Maddie vanished.

"Having his face on TV screens, and in newspapers across the world, has generated fresh calls, tip-offs and leads which they will look into and which they hope could prove vital."

Sun Online understands at least one of the leads is linked to fresh information about where Christian Brueckner was living in Portugal around the time three-year-old Maddie went missing.

"The timeline of where Christian Brueckner was and when during that period is still far from clear," the source added.

"He was living a nomadic lifestyle. He was a drifter going from here to there and he would have come into contact with a lot of people.

"The police are convinced many of them may not yet have come forward.

"The publicity around this case could prompt someone who knows something into doing just that. This is what the German cops are now hoping for."

Last week a court in Braunschweig heard how an alleged rape victim was terrified the twisted sex offender would behead her.

The court also heard how he tied Hazel Behan’s legs to table legs and raped her, before quipping: “You are afraid of me aren’t you?”

The prosecution said the German used a rape drug to incapacitate his victims as he trapped them and held them prisoner.

Meanwhile, a shocking claim that Brueckner was wiretapped while in prison could be a major blow to the trial.

A former employee of the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) sensationally claimed that Brueckner's cell was equipped with bugging devices and said she had photos to prove it.

The monster's lawyers have requested for the witness to be heard in the trial.

If the allegation is confirmed it would be a massive hit to Brueckner's trial as conversations between him and his lawyers could also have been tapped.

The German is currently serving a seven-year prison term for rape and drug trafficking

It comes as The Sun revealed how vehicles owned by Brueckner in Portugal were taken to Germany and scrapped.

Previously it emerged that Brueckner has blown “tens of thousands” transforming his appearance since the toddler vanished.

German detectives probing the convicted rapist are convinced his current identity may be “an illusion” - and that he most likely looked totally different at the time Madeleine vanished.

The cops also believe this is a “key area” that Portuguese officers failed to drill down on at the height of the search for Maddie.

A source close to the investigation told Sun Online: “The Christian Brueckner of today is not the same person he was back in 2007 when Maddie disappeared.

“German detectives are convinced he looks very, very different and has blown tens of thousands of pounds changing the way he looks.

“For a long time, Christian Brueckner was a prolific drug dealer who earned a lot of money and lived a very nice lifestyle. He had the means to have surgery and to make changes to the way he looked.

“Officers think there’s every chance the way he looks now is an illusion to the man he was 10, 15 years ago.

"They’ve always been concerned that this is a key area cops in the Algarve failed to properly grip or investigate fully from day one.

"So it’s an area they will be focusing on a lot more in the months ahead.”

The source added there’s a chance they could even re-issue photo e-fits and wanted posters if they think it will help drum up fresh information about what happened to Maddie.

The British tot vanished on May 3, 2007, from her parents' holiday home in Praia da Luz.

It's also been claimed that Brueckner had surgery to remove a birthmark on his left thigh after an alleged rape.

Brueckner, 47, had it erased to avoid being identified after the knife-point attack on student Hazel Behan who had told police where it was located, prosecutors allege.

Officers found scarring in the spot described by Irish Hazel, then a holiday rep, and, in a key breakthrough, spotted the birthmark on an earlier scan of Brueckner, who is serving seven years for rape.

The evidence against the German paedophile has been presented to judges.

Brueckner was previously said to have spent cash having his jaw reset and four "rabbit" teeth straightened four months after Maddie vanished in Praia da Luz in Portugal's Algarve in 2007.

Soon after, a police sketch showed a man with buck teeth seen near the McCanns' holiday flat.

big grin What a load of garbage.

I think I can see where this is going. They manipulate the public into believing that Brueckner is guilty but then he gets off on the grounds of his cell being wire tapped.

Would someone remember any details, like a tattoo, if they had been given rape drug?

And actually, there is little difference between how he looked in 2007 than what he looks like now.
Have they not seen the photo's and video of Brueckner a couple of months before Madeleine disappeared.

Bridge day fun from the Daily Mail,

The chief suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann worked at the same Algarve resort that she vanished from in 2007, it has been claimed to MailOnline.

According to British expat Ken Ralphs - who knew Christian Brueckner at the time through acquaintances - the German criminal, 47, was working cash-in-hand at the Ocean Club tapas bar frequented by Kate and Gerry McCann, Madeleine's parents.

Mr Ralphs maintains that Brueckner plotted with another man to abduct a young girl to then sell her to a couple unable to have children of their own.

The 59-year-old believes the pair went through with their plan and kidnapped Madeleine from her family's hotel room on that fateful night in May 2007, while Kate and Gerry were in the Ocean Club restaurant with their group of friends who later became known in the press as 'The Tapas Seven'.

However, speaking to MailOnline, Mr Ralphs said he suspects Brueckner and his co-conspirators lost their nerve when they saw the extensive media coverage of the case, which highlighted her distinctive eyes - making her impossible to sell.

The Brit - who left the UK in 2004, returning intermittently - says he went to police in both the UK and in Portugal in the immediate aftermath of Madeleine's disappearance, and again when Brueckner was officially named a suspect in 2020.

In both countries, he says he told police about Brueckner's alleged plot, and that the drifter had been working at the Ocean Club restaurant - something that was also reported in the past by a German documentary in 2020.

Since then, Mr Ralphs says, he has received conflicting accounts from police in both countries over whether the information he provided was passed on or investigated

And it goes on, and on, and on….
Cash in hand? Convenient-no Records.
No one Interviewed in the Files mentions Brückner working there.
No response from the Ocean Club.
Previous Stories say he was a Pool Cleaner / Handyman.
No name Witnesses who do not want to admit knowing Ralphs.

Absolutely unbelievable.

It's the same story but a different name, this time it's Ken Ralphs.
They alway's have given statements to the UK police and the Portuguese police at the time and neither one knows or does anything about it.

Jon Clarke is NOT going to be pleased.

And we now have to fit him into the timeline.

9:04 by his watch, Gerry leaves the table and enters 5A through the front and the back door
9:10 by his watch, CB serves the Gazpacho and nips out and enters 5A by the front and the back door
9:14 by his watch, CB exits with MBM and hides her in the Deep Trench (© Jon Clarke) next to where GM and JW are talking, and right in front of JT who is flip-flopping and shivering past
9:29 by his watch, CB serves the main courses,

That works, doesnt it ?

Braunschweig - "I hope all this shit is over soon."

This is what witness Manfred S. (68) says this morning in Braunschweig District Court, meaning that the allegations against Christian Brückner (47) should finally be cleared up. The three rapes and the two cases of sexual abuse of children for which Brückner is on trial. And also the case of Maddie McCann (then 3), for whose disappearance the accused is allegedly responsible according to the public prosecutor's office. "I hope all this shit is over soon" also sounds as if the witness was referring to his own questioning.

For six hours this Friday morning, the judge, prosecutors and defense lawyers grilled the pensioner from Lüdenscheid.

In 2006, he and his friend Helge B. (53) broke into Brückner's bungalow in Portugal, where they stole a camera and video tapes, among other things. The tapes allegedly showed Brückner raping several women. Two of these crimes, whose victims are still unknown, have now been charged in Braunschweig. That is why Manfred S. is on the witness stand.

The pensioner is a difficult witness, his memory occasionally seems to let him down. He has already commented on the videos several times: during questioning by the BKA in 2018, at a trial against Brückner in 2019, in several TV interviews.

On this morning, he remembers some things differently than in previous statements.

The first victim, whom the accused allegedly raped on a table, was about 60 years old, estimated Manfred S. The judge then reproaches him, saying that he had estimated the woman to be about 40 years old in the BKA interrogation.
The first act seen on the videos did not take place in Brückner's house, said Manfred S. The defense then showed the witness a TV interview in which he claimed that both rapes had taken place in Brückner's house. He had recognized that on the videos.

The witness also made contradictory statements about whether the perpetrator was masked or not. Sometimes he claimed to have recognized the defendant by his voice, sometimes to have seen him clearly.

But that is not the end of the unpleasant day for the witness.
When asked by the judge, Manfred S. says that the day before he last spoke on the phone with his ex-accomplice Helge B., who is due to testify in court soon.

The defense asks how long this conversation lasted. When the witness could not remember this either, defense lawyer Dr. Friedrich Fülscher (39) requested that Manfred S.'s call list be disclosed. It turns out that the witnesses spoke to each other four times on the morning of the trial.
"Making phone calls to Helge B. is not a criminal offense," Judge Uta Inse Engemann warns the witness. "Making false statements is a criminal offense. What else is wrong that you need to clarify?"

The witness says meekly that he is not aware of anything else.

The trial will continue on March 14.

He also apparently, according to Brunt, said that he had watched the video on the CAMERA.
Not on a TV attached to a video player
The screen on a 1995-2000 stolen video camera is likely to have been 3 inches at the most.
That is the diagonal measurement (generously interpreted),
making the screen 2 inches wide x 1.5 inches high
Unless there was an operator Zooming in and out the figures would be MUCH less than an inch high,
making the face, masked or not, around 1/8"

The Olive Press is now claiming that the Defence has hacked Manfred S's Facebook Account.

As the court was winding up for the day, out came a perhaps much more sinister claim which could backfire on the defence. It came when Seyferth claimed his Facebook site had been hacked by Brueckner’s lead lawyer Friedrich Fulscher. He told the court he believed he had done this to track down Busching, who was in a witness protection programme. “I checked my Facebook account in the evening and saw that Helge answered me about something I had not even asked him. The judge and prosecutor were particularly interested, but Seyferth was unable to shed more light on the claim. There is no doubt that this possible crime will be carefully checked.

There is no actual evidence as far as we know, to prove Seyferth or Busching are telling the truth about anything.
As for Brueckner's lawyer hacking Seyferth's Facebook account, where is the proof it was Fulscher if it ever happened.
It looks like this case is about He said She said.

The latest nonsense from Jon Clarke-Kent

A FORMER friend of Madeleine McCann suspect Christian Brueckner has told a court how he found two violent porn movies made by him at his Portugal home.

Manfred Seyferth, 68, told Braunschweig court how he and a mutual friend Helge Busching discovered the films at his rented home just outside Praia da Luz on the Algarve.

The German pensioner, a petty thief who also ran bars, said they had also found a gun when they broke into the home, after Brueckner, 47, was sent to prison in Portugal, in April 2006

He said in one film Brueckner was masked but he recognised his voice, while in the other he removed a mask to show his face.

Seyferth, from Ludenschied, in Germany, recalled: “Helge watched the video and said there was a woman and a girl on the tape and they were being abused.”

He continued: “There was an old woman on a table. She was blonde, in her Sixties and she was being hit on her breast by something, it looked like a ruler. She cried out ‘help’ in Italian.

“There was also a young girl as well.”

He said she was about 14 or 15 and that she was tied to a wooden post at Brueckner’s farmhouse, which is just 800 metres from the Ocean Club, where Madeleine McCann went missing in May, 2007.

He said the accused had ‘danced’ around his victim before forcing her to perform oral sex on him. “She said this is rape,” he continued to the court. Then he added after she was sick, he told her: “You’ve puked on my carpet! You never forget things like that.”

He explained how disgusted he was and told Busching to throw the camera away and only realised many years later that he had not done it, although they are now currently missing.

Wearing a green jumper and cleanly shaved, Seyferth described Brueckner as a ‘burglar’ who was both ‘arrogant’, ‘big headed’ and ‘a psycho’.

He said they named him ‘Oberkellner’ (or ‘head waiter’) as he ‘always wore a tie and looked smart’ and worked as a ‘waiter’ at hotels on the Algarve.

When asked by judge Ute Christina Englemann to give more details, he said: “Just that he did that and that he worked as a waiter in hotels.”

“Did he say anything about his burglaries?” she asked. “No, I did not concern myself with it.”

Seyferth had first met Brueckner when he and his friend Michael Tatschl, another witness who will give evidence next month, travelled down from Orgiva, near Granada, for a few weeks on the Algarve.

They made money from petty crime and selling small ashtrays to tourists ‘made out of cola cans’. They also stole solar panels, which they would later take back to Spain.

“That’s what you can live on in Portugal?” asked the judge, to which he replied: “You can live from it.”

It was around 2005 and Brueckner had invited them back to his home in Praia da Luz to help them when they ran out of gas.

He had large vats of stolen fuel at the home and said they were welcome to park up their van and stay in his garden.

Seyferth told the court he spent weeks living in a caravan in the garden of Brueckner’s home and previously described him as an excellent burglar, who could climb into any home.

They had nicknamed him ‘the Climber’ and he admitted he had even watched him climb up to second floor apartments from outside.

It was Seyferth (and Busching’s) evidence in 2019 that helped put Brueckner in prison for the 2005 rape of American pensioner Diana Menkes, also in Praia da Luz.

DNA of Brueckner’s from a hair was found by police on Menkes bed.

In that case, Menkes, 72, was forced to endure a violent late-night rape, also on video, that involved being hit with a stick and being tied up.

During cross-examination of the witness, which went on for over three hours, the defence accused Seyferth of having memory loss and continually changing his statement.

In particular, they highlighted that he had made money from press interviews and previously said the older woman was ‘around 40’, but now she was in her 60s.

They asked if he was suffering from ‘Alzheimers or some other form of memory loss’, to which he said: “Not to my knowledge.”

They also demanded to know how often he had spoken to his fellow witness Helge Busching and how recently, suggesting collusion over evidence.

Seyferth replied ‘yesterday’ to which they demanded to see his phone.

When it was discovered he had actually spoken to Busching four times over the previous 24 hours, twice that morning, the Judge ordered his phone be seized so the BKA police could analyse it.

It was eventually given back, with Seyferth insisting: “I didn’t know there was anything forbidden about me talking to him.”

The day finally wound up at 3.10pm and the trial will not continue again until March 14.

Yes, cash in hand, very convenient.

If he was working at the Tapas bar why haven't any of the tapas 9, the other guests or O C staff come forward with anything?

Probably because in previous Reports from 2020 Brückner was living at Villa Bianca in Foral 60 Km away from Praia da Luz.

Working at O Foral Restaurant.

Then returning to his ‘Secret Lair’ guarded by huge Dogs with the strongest bite in the world.

But really there were just eight Rescue Dogs kept by Lia Silva.
