GERMAN cops are frantically trying to track down ex-lovers of the prime suspect in the Madeleine McCann investigation.

Detectives believe former partners of Christian B hold vital clues in piecing together the “confused timeline” of the years the 54-year-old spent “drifting” around Praia De Luz.

It comes as officers face a race against time in linking the convicted paedophile to Maddie’s disappearance.

A source close to the case said: "German detectives remain convinced Christian B was involved in Maddie’s disappearance.

"But they still have a very confused timeline of Christian B’s life spent on Praia De Luz.

"For years he is thought to have been drifting around the island living in a van and they want to understand more about what he was doing during this time and who he was seeing.

“The big problem they have is that relations with Portuguese cops are at an all-time low."

They added: "Hardly any intelligence is now being shared.

"This has therefore left German cops with little choice but to work backwards and to try and trace as many friends, colleagues, former girlfriends and lovers of Christian B as possible.

"They might hold vital clues.

"Cops remain sure someone, somewhere, knows information which could be of vital importance."

Former partners of Christian B have come forward before.

Two years ago Nuray Oezgen told how she met Christian B while working in a bar in Hanover in 2012 and they eventually rented a place together.

But just months into their relationship, she says he became aggressive and would drink beer and Jagermeister with pals while she worked alone.

Nuray later said the relationship soured when Christian B began showing an unhealthy obsession with schoolgirls.

The final straw came when Nuray discovered Christian B was in a sexual relationship with a local teen he brought back to their flat.

Police later raided his home in Braunschweig where they discovered a secret stash of hundreds of sickening child abuse images.

He was found to have sexually abused a friend's five-year-old daughter but, by then, he had already fled to Portugal.

An arrest warrant was issued and he eventually confessed to the sickening crimes.

He was extradited back to Germany in 2016 and jailed.

A source close to the current probe into Christian B says his “wayward” and “hedonistic” lifestyle remain of huge interest to officers.

The source said: “Christian B lived a very strange life in Germany and later in Praia De Luz.

"He used a lot of drugs and travelled around meeting women, many of whom went off with him consensually.

"So there’s a web of former partners and lovers who could hold really critical information about what he was getting up to.

"Officers desperately need new leads."

Two weeks ago, we exclusively revealed how cops leading the probe into Christian B may have “just weeks” to save their investigation.

The Sun told how detectives fear the investigation could collapse by the New Year unless a fresh lead is found.

A source close to the investigation told us: “The next few weeks are make or break for the detectives investigating Christian B.

“Publicly they are saying they remain convinced he is linked to Maddie’s disappearance, and that they will present evidence in due course.

"But, privately, the case is close to collapsing.

"There’s no new leads, and the primary witness they were relying on has totally gone offside."

Police in Germany are actively looking for former romantic partners of Christian B, the main suspect in the Madeleine McCann investigation.

Investigators believe that these ex-lovers may be able to reconstruct the "confused timeline" of the years when the 54-year-old was allegedly "drifting" around Praia De Luz.

This effort is especially urgent because officers are racing against the clock to find a link between the convicted sex offender and Maddie's disappearance.

come on the guy also had to stay in two camper vehicles, and drive a jaguar, traveling between on and tomar for his business, the other he had to travel back from to another beach each night. we have the one that told about he said; i have to do a horrible job from may 2 too. and do not forget to do a ritual or two at his little paradise. 

if there are even more, together with that nice mix of weed and jagermeister makes it worth a olympic gold medal in that kind of sports.

Police in Germany are in a race against time to track down former lovers, friends and work colleagues of the prime suspect in the Madeliene McCann investigation.

Detectives are trying to piece together the timeline around when Christian Brueckner was in the Portuguese resort of Praia De Luz. They think he was drifting around the area at the time when the then toddler went missing while on holiday with her parents and younger twin siblings.

But officers are believed to have just a few more weeks to save their case, as the Mirror reported last week. They fear their case could be scrapped by the New Year if they can't come up with a fresh lead. Just a few days ago, the convicted paedophile's lawyer claimed the German police's investigation was "shaky".

Brueckner is yet to be formally charged - but was named by cops as the prime suspect. He has a long criminal history, for both burglary and sex crimes, including against young girls. In the past quarter of a century, he's been linked to several disappearances. One six-year-old boy in Portugal in 1996 and a five-year-old girl in Germany in 2015 are thought to be his victims.

and in quite an advanced model of a van, because it was not even on the island, but travelling around it.


at least that must mean this source can not be a certain former student of the geography stuff, he would never have left out all the times on the same day he had to loose out on time, because of waiting till the ferry was available. 


so who ever had thought that, a very new element to explore.

The island !!!! What if there is no ferry , what if it's like Lindisfarne and folk have to wait until the tide goes out to cross the causeway ?

it is there, i had to read it 3 times, and even got some reading glasses, i usually do not have need of them jet, but it was still there, the island. 
must be a new reporter, you know i had no idea these books about secret island mysteries had been still populair. but in a good mystery there is always a island of course. 

and i had to go back in my memories how we got into spain, many years ago, but even in 2007 we did just that, and i remember we had to go high up, we never actually have seen the borders at all, it was very misty at the time, and it even snowed a lot. and we got down on the other side, but come on, i did grew up with ferries over the river, and traveled other by sea, but i have no water or sea leggs at all, so to not notice we accidentally not only missed out the border that day, it can not been a ferry for sure. 

and i have been standing on other hills in spain and had even a look or two of portugal, but beside a small river, we never did get it it was just an island. 

so yeah, that brings a new element to the mystery of course. 16 years, growing into 17, and only this weekend they let slip it is on an island. 

and beside this news, cb never was really able ti implicate him self in at least 30% of the cases about other european missing children, the suggestions did come from 1. the media, 2. the other media, 3, more media, 4. the public. and of course if you throw a weirdo on the table, all cases will be looking for a probable connection, but nothing had stick in anyone of them, except in 1. the media, 2. etc. 

and it is not nice to see, these still missing children are only used to all these stories, but it is never about these children, not even a small sentence to a interpol notice or a national one, so be can take a moment on these cases. it is the faith of the missing, forgotten, only if there could be made use of their names or cases to fit just the next page filling disaster in a form of media. 

i am also very curious why they are always are able to find people to write just crap, and who also put their names above it. and the kelly-ann is not exactly one fresh out of college at all. she started to call herself a reporter from 2004 on. and got it even made to an editor after october 2014.

was this just a last spur of the moment adventure, she had to make up some space between the friday office party and and some urgent shopping? or was good old tracy still on sick leave, i mean it is not even an exclusive, are all the red tops under lawful obligations to at least nick the story and lift their leg to leave some markings out, you know that dogs do it, has a sound explanation, but in the news? really?

i just reread the full article that was part of, but it is very confusing, because in the after years of that one, we of course have got a lot more detail, most even by mouth of the gang themselves, and it all was always told just slightly different. 

like the now infamous videotapes no one ever have seen, only have testified about, and not with the victim of the 2005 rape case. 

and that casio was part of the much later case that happend in 2013. all that camera equipement made a fast evolution. hard to remember not even all mobile phones as they had still be called then had even a camera. i had to buy that year a new one and found a cheap pre paid from samsung that could take pictures, my still missed dark blue philips could not do that modern stuff, but he has withstand many horse teeth, some water and rain, was stepped on by a cow. kept many field posts company, because it never fitted in any pocket.

well you had it just to phone, do you know, i only once used that sms thing. as in sending one, for taking pictures we always kept it old school, the box of nokia's we got our hands on is enough for an odd job. and i am useless when it is about taking pictures, i can do all the tricks that come with traditional film and printing real pictures. even how to fake the stuff. 

and it is still just stupid to store illegal stuff on a digital camera or phone, it is so hard to make them truly gone, in the old days, all you had to do was or open up the camera and give them a bit of light, or burn the negatives, and get rid of the positives too of course, but it was much harder to prove your camera had made them. 

and the digital era is absolutely helpful in proving stuff, and being careless with illegal stuff is just making it so much easier. but this 2005 rape case is a quite unique case in that aspect. because absolutely nothing of that stuff ever have seen the daylight at all, not by the police, or in court. it is only virtual by mouth of two others of the gang, and not even about this case itself. 

and it will be used again, if they find some gusto to do it, because there are still standing two cases for it on the listings planned in the future. and going by the talking heads in diverse productions it easily could have been at least 3. 

but that many times talked about case of the findings of the old boxfactory, the trophe stock never made it into a court. well it was in another bundesland of germany of course. but you would think that famous result, would have its own right of repercussions, but no. 

thinking this case could go out with a silent whisper, it also would mean we would still know nothing for sure.

and germany is not so into publishing files, we would never learn about the consistency of modern concrete in a modern criminal investigation. we never know what these books are been about. how many lovers the guy really had. just all gone as if you blow a dust devil of your hand  at an open window.

but there is still much in this case to look back at. i would not miss cb at all. 
and this case can without all the strange circus acts, and even if it ever ends up in court around cb, it would still not feel as the answer that we are looking for. 

the complete cb chapter is so enormous under my standards, i do not want to understand it even. 

i feel it more effective to just take a fresh look at all stuff, taking some different turns, and see where that ends, where will it meet work done before and where could still be space to look for different views. 

ii think no one will be able to unsee all the helping hands and assistance, also from a lot of positions that you don't expect that it even could. how much of that can have another explanation, even in this cb chapter so many mouth dropping events. is there really been a how and why in all of these. 

a, well the germans never have been lucky when they draw the losers card. they will survive that one too.

But look closely.
They are allegedly looking for stuff relating to his alleged crimes in the late 90s and early 2000s.
The USB Protocol was not settled until 1996 when the first port was put on a Mac.
The memory sticks came along MUCH later and were not in general use for a long time, since existing computers and cameras did not have the necessary ports
Accepting that Brückner may have stolen equipment, we now have to suppose that he had the technology and the set-up to download from the video TAPE to a USB Memory stick, itself at the cutting edge of technology, and are then asked to believe that having done so, he drove to a popular and frequented beauty spot, dug holes in the ground and 'hid' the sticks in them.  Why ?

One of the key witnesses in the Madeleine McCann case is being investigated for false evidence over damning claims about key suspect Christian Brückner.

Convicted paedophile and rapist Brückner is suspected by German authorities to have abducted and killed three-year-old Madeleine, who disappeared while holidaying in the Portuguese resort of Praia da Luz. Now the probe into Brückner has taken a dramatic turn.

His lawyer Friedrich Fülscher has filed charges, prompting the German investigators to examine whether Helge Büsching gave "unsworn false testimony". The McCann case saw a major lead in 2020 when Brückner was identified as a suspect before being officially named in 2022, with detectives earlier this year seen investigating a site near the Algarve where the German national - currently serving prison time for rape - is known to have spent time.

Büsching is said to have claimed that Brückner confessed to him about his involvement in Madeleine's disappearance, and has since been a cornerstone of the case. He had initially told authorities about video tapes he allegedly stole from Brückner, showing a range of chilling and sickening crimes. These tapes, said to be hidden in a caravan, have never been found.

‌Then in a startling twist, Helge B.'s statement changed in January 2023, where he then claimed the tapes were left in a rural property he once occupied. Now Brückner's lawyer Friedrich Fülscher has challenged Helge Büsching's credibility, citing the inconsistencies in his statements.

‌Fülscher's aggressive defense strategy includes seeking a suspension of Brückner's rape sentence and a retrial, as he strongly refutes the allegations against his client. Meanwhile, at the public prosecutor's office in Braunschweig, prosecutor Hans-Christian Wolters will have to decide whether Büsching's evidence is still strong and consistent enough to be used against the suspect, Christian Brückner.

The development comes amidst reports the German police probe into Brückner is on the brink of collapse. A lack of new leads connecting him to Madeleine's disappearance, as well as Büsching's apparent unwillingness to further help authorities, could mean the possibility of a prosecution is slipping away.

Madeleine's disappearance in May 2007 captured international attention and led detectives down many avenues and dead ends over the next 16 years. The youngster disappeared from the apartment she was staying in with parents Kate and Gerry McCann at the resort's Ocean Club Hotel while they were having dinner with friends.
