@ cookiemuncher. Paul Anthony Gordon stayed in apartment 5a 21st April 2007 for 1 week.
He stated that he cut himself shaving in the bathroom and wandered around the apartment with tissue on the cut.
You can read his statement in the PJ files.
In the DNA analysis of the haematic vestiges detected in the swabs described in lines 1 and 2 a profile was obtained belonging to an individual of the male sex.
The above is in the PJ files: Portuguese forensic institute tests.

Yes I know that, I'm not stupid, but they're still blood spots aren't they however much you try to play them down. Do prime suspects always have the right to question an investigation?
If it was me I would asking what business it was of the German cops. If UK Police have no jurisdiction in Portugal, I'm sure that German Police won't.

Why would I try to " play them down "? The fact is, they were there, in minute quantity.

Yes, when their state is interested in the outcome. Less 'right' more 'necessity'.sharonl wrote:Do prime suspects always have the right to question an investigation?

Madeleine McCann: New inquiry 'could be dropped' without clues from public
2 hours ago
German prosecutors say they may have to drop the investigation into a convicted paedophile suspected of killing Madeleine McCann if they do not receive more information from the public.
Investigators told the BBC they have substantial evidence that Madeleine is dead - but this is not enough to take the suspect to court.
The three-year-old disappeared while on holiday in Portugal in 2007.
The suspect, 43, has been named by German media as Christian B.

I would hope that any charge or conviction wouldn't hinge on information provided after significant public appeal, 13 years after the event.

Whereas the real perpetrators of the crime have been given an easy ride for the past 13 years, have kept their heads down and got on with their lives as if nothing ever happened, they all know who they are, whilst all and sundry around them are being accused of something they didn't do.
Let's hope Karma catches up with them all one day and Madeleine gets the justice she deserves, but the Sun, The Mirror, the DM. the DE, The Telegraph won't be the ones that do it.

'Quiz Madeleine McCann suspect over our girl, 8, who vanished three years earlier'
Joana Cipriano, eight, disappeared in 2004, five miles from where Madeleine McCann vanished. Her step-dad has urged German police to quiz Christian Brueckner over her disappearance

The step-dad of a young girl who vanished close to where Madeleine McCann was snatched has urged police to quiz paedophile Christian Brueckner over the disappearance.
Joana Cipriano, eight, was reported missing in 2004 from Figueira – five miles from the Praia da Luz apartment on the Algarve where Madeleine vanished as her parents ate with friends nearby.
Her mum Leonor Cipriano and uncle Joao Cipriano were convicted of murdering the youngster, whose body has never been found, and spent nearly two decades behind bars.
But the pair insist they are innocent and Leonor claimed she was tortured by Portuguese detectives into confessing to the killing her daughter.
Joana’s step-dad Leandro Silva has now called on German and Portuguese police to investigate if there are any links between pervert Brueckner and the child’s disappearance after he became the latest suspect in Madeleine’s case.
The 54-year-old said: “The moment I saw police had a Madeleine suspect I thought about poor Joana and how he could be involved.
“The disappearance of my step-daughter is an unresolved case, whatever the authorities say.
“Her body has never been found and I know Leonor would never have hurt Joana. She was a good mum.
“I think the police handled the investigation so badly.
“That’s why I’d like a new police team to re-examine everything and see if this German man is involved.
“Brueckner also seems to have been heavily into drugs and I think there’s a good chance he could be implicated.
“He appears to have done some horrible things here and he obviously knew the Algarve well.
“Christian Brueckner is a person who should be questioned. There are still so many unanswered questions hanging over Joana’s disappearance and he could hold the key to solving them.
Dad-of-three Leandro, from Portimao, told how he “shares the pain” Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry have felt since their daughter vanished aged three in 2007.
German police claim they have evidence she is dead.
Leandro added: “For me there were a lot of similarities with the two disappearances. I dream of knowing what happened to poor Joana just like I know the McCanns do [about Madeleine]. If that means finding out they are dead so be it but I obviously wish for a different ending.
“What I do want is justice done for whoever’s taken her and I don’t feel as if I have all or any of the answers.”
Joana vanished after leaving a local cafe with milk and a tin of tuna she had just bought.
Her murder investigation was led by Goncalo Amaral, the police chief who led the botched probe into Madeleine’s disappearance.
He was found to have falsified police documents in the Cipriano case and was jailed for 18 months.
Leonor launched a campaign to find her daughter before being made a suspect by Amaral, in the same way doctors Kate and Gerry, of Rothley, Leics, were. Detectives claimed Joao killed Joana after she allegedly caught him having incestuous sex with her mum.
Leonor confessed to police over the alleged murder but today insists she is innocent. Joao confessed to cutting Joana’s body into pieces and feeding them to pigs.
However, he also now claims he had no involvement and said he too was “forced” to confess. Leonor withdrew her confession the day after signing it, alleging she was beaten during a two-day interrogation.
Police claimed her injuries were caused when she threw herself down a flight of stairs in a botched suicide attempt after her arrest.
Her and Joao’s murder trial was the first in Portugal to be conducted without a body being discovered.
The pair were each jailed for 16 years.
Leonor, now living in Evora in south-central Portugal, was let out in February last year.
Joao was released from a prison near Lisbon a month later.

Oh no no no no no, this is taking the joke a step too far.
This witch hunt needs to stop now. Surely the mighty McCann machine do not believe this crap will help them through the ECHR?
You have been persecuting Mr Amaral for too long, every new move only goes to show how guilty you are. An innocent person would never go to such lengths to destroy the life of a police officer assigned to solve the case of their missing three year old child.
Might just as well stand up and admit what you've done.

Have team McCann taken any of them through a court of law? Nah .... they can only target an innocent man who was just doing his job - doing his job for them!

He was living there.
So his van was outside.
He was investigated as a possible suspect.
He was eliminated
Now we come to the 'ludicrous' journalism.
Are journalists forbidden by their Hypocritic Oath to use Google maps or the internet to check their facts?
The house they say he was in is not 'just a mile away'. Not even the 2 miles quoted by some other papers.
it is 4.37 km in a straight line, cross country, as the fly crows...
In English that is 2.715 miles, 2 miles 1250 yards.
By road since we assume the van is involved, even though it has been forensically checked and there is nothing to find, the distance is conveniently just over 8 km, which we all know is just over 5 miles

Christian Brueckner has been linked to the murder of a German schoolgirl who disappeared nearly 20 years ago.
Peggy Knobloch was nine when she vanished on her way home from school in 2001.
Part of her skeleton was discovered 15 years later by a mushroom picker in a Bavarian forest, around 60 miles from her home in Lichtenberg, Upper Franconia.
The town is roughly 100 miles from Brueckner's home town of Wurzburg.
Around the same period Brueckner, who had recently served jail time for child abuse, was known to frequently drive the 1,600 miles between Bavaria and the Algarve.
Brueckner was released from prison in Bavaria at the end of 2000 – just months before Peggy went missing. He had been jailed on child sex abuse charges after being extradited back to Germany from Portugal the previous year.

He wouldn't have had to break in if the patio sliding doors were left unlocked as the McCanns stated they were and he had been watching them coming and going apparently, so the newspapers keeping ramming down our throats.kaz wrote:The Mail today has even printed two photographs showing a look alike Madeleine next to a well publicised photograph of Madeleine herself. There were also things lying around he could have picked up easily whilst he went to get Madeleine, 5 passports in the McCanns bedside cabinet, a camera sitting on the dining room table which he would have had to walk past to get to the kids' bedroom. He also had no need to climb out the window with Madeleine, which would have been a squash as only one side of the window opened and he would have had to carry Madeline or pass her out to someone, if the patio door was open, he could have just walked out with her.
There was also only one finger print on the window, that of Kate McCann's, and as Peter has stated in the past many times the shutters can't be opened from the outside as they make a loud metal scraping noise if they're forced.
Also there was the cadaver odour in the apartment which was detected by the dog, including in the wardrobe, where a blue bag sat on the shelf which the dog also detected to. It went missing after it was photographed by the PJ and Clarence Mitchell was adamant that the McCanns never owned a blue bag even though it was photographed in the wardrobe. Cadaver odour takes about an hour to form, minimum, I think.

Re: The latest McCann suspect: Scotland Yard has revealed vital new information about a suspect wanted in connection with the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.
It must have been CB who left incriminating books by Gerry and Kate McCann's bed. What forethought!

I'd forgotten about those books, very incriminating, as you say. If I remember rightly I think one of them stated that sea bass has the same smell as a cadaver, strange how GM started mentioning that Sean got a liking for sea bass although he failed to mention that it's full of bones which a child as young as Sean was at that time could have choked on. Even I can't deal with bones and I've been eating fish for years, fish bones are a no no to me. Even the Queen Mother ended up in hospital many years ago when she swallowed a fish bone.CaKeLoveR wrote:It must have been CB who left incriminating books by Gerry and Kate McCann's bed. I think it was Jim Gamble who gave those books to GM. As it says on the side bar to the right that he congratulated SKY journalist Martin Brunt who doorstepped Brenda Leyland, she was later found dead in a hotel room. SKY put the doorstepping encounter on 24/7 TV, every 15 minutes I recall. Strange how that's never been done to the McCanns and they were the ones who "lost" Madeleine. Everyone seems to be at blame for her disappearance except the McCanns.CaKeLoveR wrote:It must have been CB who left incriminating books by Gerry and Kate McCann's bed. What forethought!
The McCanns seem to leave a wake of chaos behind them, wherever they go or whatever they do, but they always come up smelling of roses for some reason.

This German judge isn't buying it.....
''In an explosive podcast, criminal law expert Dr Thomas Fischer blasted German police for the "unpleasant undertone" to their probe into the Brit girl's disappearance.
Dr Fischer, a former federal judge, said he did not believe German police had incontrovertible evidence she had been killed.
He said: "You don't know whether the child is dead or not.
"There are certain plausibilities that derive from criminal experience but which I think are spread with a certain unpleasant undertone also by the investigative authorities.
"If the public prosecutor knew more, they would say more."
Dr Fischer went on to say he was skeptical the case was about to be solved and unconvinced the police have enough evidence to prosecute.
"There is a clear evidence base, but no compelling evidence,” he said.
"It would be a mistake to commit yourself too early and to say that he was there, he has a criminal record, he doesn't say anything, he must have been."

Have they asked him if he did a trial run the night before?

Whilst this Brueckner bloke is not worthy of one second of sympathy and whilst acknowledging that he could have been/was involved in all sorts of illegal activity in the Algarve, it appears that there is a co-ordinated attempt to link him to the McCann case. If the German Police have definite evidence, then they should say so.All this wink-wink, nudge -nudge 'we know something but cannot share it with you and we need your help to prove it', has simply meant that our wonderful blood-hound journalists are running around in circles as they have willingly done for years.
Asking the public for info is fair enough, but the German Police, by saying that they believe she is dead and in the same breathe wanting info about Brueckner are trying to fit him into their assumptions.Assuming the statements/movements of the Tapas lot are as honest as the day is long[!!?] then how anyone could have carried out the preferred narrative of an abduction is beyond belief.
In addition, the Public have already assisted with info before....and introduced potential paedophile overtones...simply read Dr. Gaspar statement.Whatever happened to that? Has it ever been acknowledged and officially investigated and dismissed? Now why have our blood-hound journos not sniffed around that I wonder?

And wasn't it SY who hung on to the Gaspar statements for 6 months before sending them to the PJ?Dr What wrote:Whilst this Brueckner bloke is not worthy of one second of sympathy and whilst acknowledging that he could have been/was involved in all sorts of illegal activity in the Algarve, it appears that there is a co-ordinated attempt to link him to the McCann case.
