This is how a Mother looks after her babies.
Stand in danger from speeding cars and huge humans but never even thinks of going to sleep, or staring at a candle, or going for a run, or dumping them in a creche
or just walking away laughing . . .

...then telling the world that it affected her sex life. The mother duck wasn't going anywhere without her full complement of chicks. Bless those men for the rescue.

I was working in London and the traffic was hectic with all of its usual time pressure and angst.
Along came a mother duck with her babies. She was crossing the road and they waddled behind her.
The traffic stopped and the smiles began. That moment has always stuck in my head.

And if you watch closely, we can be absolutely sure that the duck can COUNT.
She knows exactly how many children she has, and doesn't think of going home when she has got 2/3 of them.
