MADELEINE McCann’s mum posted a poignant prayer encouraging everyone to stay indoors in a bid to stop the scourge of coronavirus.
Former GP turned medical worker Kate shared the touching words on the official website to find her missing daughter.
n the new post on the Facebook page seen by millions across the world and under the hashtag “FlattenTheCurve” the prayer reads: “And then the whole world walked inside and shut their doors and said we will stop it all.
"Everything. To protect our weaker ones, our sicker ones, out older ones.
"And nothing, nothing in the history of humankind ever felt more like love than this.”
The website, run by a close pal on behalf of Kate and heart doctor husband Gerry, doesn’t directly mention the word coronavirus - the Covid-19 disease which has killed 21,191 people worldwide and infected 470,000.
But the hashtag infers it - in medicine the idea of slowing the spread of a virus so that fewer people need to seek treatment at any given time is known as "flattening the curve."
It explains why so many countries have implemented "social distancing" orders and lockdowns to contain the coronavirus.
The website for the McCann’s supporters and well wishers shows a picture of young Maddie with the message “For as long as it takes.”
Iris Pattison wrote: This is so beautiful. Love will always outshine anything we muster or is mustered and challenges us. We need to be our best for our weakest.
"Our prayers for Madeleine never cease and must never cease."
Three-year-old Maddie vanished from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007 while her parents were dining in a nearby tapas restaurant with pals.
Kate, 52, and Gerry, 51, from Rothley, Leics, cling onto a glimmer of hope their daughter could still be alive.
She would now be aged 16, nearly 17.

" Protect our weaker ones "
The McCanns and their friends allegedly didn't " protect " their weaker ones , their children when they left them alone to sleep for 5 nights resulting in Madeleines " abduction " !
Allegedly !!!!
I'm waiting for Tracey to inform us Kate is returning to her work as a GP to help out during this " crisis " , you know the " brave , heartbroken mother "
Also " heart doctor Gerry " is working on a " cure "
can someone please put one of these on Tracey , as a gag !

Olive Oyl is probably working on her "Prime suspect in McCan case dies of Coronavirus" article.
Too late to keep us in Kate, we did our leafletting back in 2007.
When is the search for Madeleine going to start?

What a total hypocrite,if she’d had practiced then what she preaches
now Madeleine would be enjoying the best years of her life, she keeps
letting out more rope to hang herself.
