This is being discussed on Twitter. The case is actually sub judice which means that only limited reporting of the facts can take place before trial.

The bare facts are that Sonia Poulton and one other have alleged that they have been stalked by one Darren Laverty. Laverty has been charged and pleaded 'Not Guilty'. The case was transferred from the Magistrates Court to Kingston-upon-Thames Crown Court, where there is a 'Case Management' meeting tomorrow to prepare the case for trial.

The Crown alleges that communications from Darren Laverty over a period of time amounted to the criminal offence of 'stalking'.

That's about all I can report, except to say that there is quite a history between those two.

I should say a word or two about Mark Watts.

He was the former editor of Exaro News, which covered a great many controversial child sexual abuse issues, but has now folded. Quite why he should be taking such an interest in the trial of Darren Laverty is a bit of a mystery.

Some of us here saw his TV interview of a young woman from Manchester, Esther Baker, who claimed she had been regularly raped and abused on Cannock Chase by an assortment of Lords, MPs, vicars and others. She even claimed that uniformed police officers watched what was going on, guarded the open space where these things went on, and who she says, quote, 'Sometimes, sort of, joined in'. This stretched her credibility very rapidly beyond breaking point and I think it's fair to say that most people who have seen the interview don't believe a word of what she said. Esther Baker has been very noisily campaigning on various issues to do with the Child Sexual Abuse enquiry, now under Alexis Jay.

I believe it was Mark Watts who was the journalist who brought the incredible revelations of 'Nick' to public notice, with his lurid allegations of people like Edward Heath, Harvey Proctor, Leon Brittan and an army general, Lord Bramall, committing multiple child sexual abuse, rapes and even IIRC three murders. He was the prime witness IIRC for Operation Midland and a police officer suggested his evidence was 'true and credible'. It now looks as though 'Nick' was an attention-seeking fantasist. Operation Mildand has collapsed and Bernard Hogan-Howe has been forced into making a humiliating, grovelling personal apology for the conduct of senior officers under his control.

In short, Mark Watts' credibility has taken a nosedive.

UPDATE:

This is looking more and more like some kind of 'test case' that somebody wants to run for whatever reason.

As far as can be ascertained, it looks like a nasty 'Twitter war' between two groups of people why vie with each other about how unpleasant they can be to each other. The sort of people who get a 'buzz' from 'squishing' their opponents on Twitter.

Sad state of affairs. It seems that some of the Twitterati are gaily tweeting about it today, with the usual hype, menace, vitriol, malice and goading. I cannot for the life of me see why this sort of Twitter war needs a 5-day trial in front of a jury. It seems insane. Unless there is a lot more to it.

The case seems to have been followed closely by the 'Real Troll Exposure' blog, which has produced this commentary on the case today :

Today, Darren Laverty appeared at Kingston-upon-Thames Crown Court for a case management hearing in the case against him.

He has, quite rightly in my opinion, pleaded “not guilty” to the charges and committed for trial to last around 4-5 days in March 2017. He was bailed with the conditions not to contact the accuser and also to not go into Greater London except for legal hearings.

Thanks to Mark Watts’ Twitter timeline today, the defence team can have a field day. I wonder what else happened immediately prior to the start date of the timescale that Watts has quoted and also during it … ? hmmm … I wonder … (not). What a muppet Watts is. But thanks anyway.

I’ve also been advised that a certain someone (who shall have to remain nameless (for now)) attempted to directly intimidate the accused in the court building today and was reported for doing so. That’s really going to help the prosecution eh ?

I have also observed WHO has retweeted etc Watts’ tweets and those too now come into the mix also because of their other ties and previous behaviour. Thanks Mark again.

Oh and Mark … putting specifics about a court case into the public domain may land you in further legal difficulty even if they were read out in court if done with the intent of implicating the accused [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

A lot can happen in at least five months with court cases…

FULL disclosures, for example, or additional exhibits of specific troll timelines which are attempting to intimidate the defendant in an ongoing criminal court case or intimidate anyone who may be called as a defence witness or who have offered additional witness testimony and the definitive ties between those troll timelines and the prosecution witnesses. Bless.

The fact that they think twitter timelines are somehow immune to the whole proceedings is quite astonishingly stupid. Especially considering those definitive ties…

So next time you see one of them shouting “mong” or “spastic” at either the accused or his friends, just remember it’s the trolls mirroring their own prejudices, discriminations and hate and dare I say it : their own specific mental health problems which they are clearly in denial about.

And of course, thanks to the information from OFCOM recently we now know that those offensive words like “mong” and “spastic” are some of the most offensive to be used.

As a special bonus prize, the attack trolls are doing so to intimidate potential or CONFIRMED witnesses from appearing, and as such those twitter timelines now likely form part of any defence that the accused and his defence witnesses present through his barrister in due course.

Again doubly so as a result of previous definitive ties to the accuser.

Oh my word how stupid are the trolls ? Can’t learn to not discuss a case in detail or intimidate specific people (including the accused) continually naming them and writing falsehoods about them once a court case is on the go ? Blimey.

That’s dumb and not only that but they are not helping their mate out (the accuser) one little bit, because they are actually helping the defence. Which is surprising really … (or maybe not) … haven’t thought it through again lads and lasses. Twitter rules don’t apply in a courtroom.

I would appeal to the accuser and indeed the CPS legal eagles – if you really want to test the evidence in a court of law and this is all not just a stage for further professional victimhood – you need to reel the attack trolls back into line.

I would suggest that if she and the CPS don’t then they are likely to cause her case to collapse before it even gets heard. Or maybe that’s what was wanted all along ? [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

As the case is going to be heard by a jury, there is serious potential for the corruption of the jury members thoughts on this case prior to it being heard.

It is in both the interests of the defence and the prosecution that specific details about the case and attacks on the accused and witnesses stop. Subjudice applies. Be careful what you tweet etc.

It’s been almost two years since I last posted on The Needle but in those two years I’ve been extremely angry. Gojam is still a complete prick and refuses to pay me for my fine investigative germilism. I’ve proved that the McCann’s are key members of the illuminati, I’ve demonstrated that professional meteorologists refuse to answer my question about chemtrails and are therefore part of the global cover-up, and that Wagon Wheels have reduced in size since I was a child. And still that obnoxious prick gojam will not pay me!

Have you noticed recently that making a false allegation can propel a worthy individual to fame and fortune? My good friend Rhesus Monkey, who is very clever, said to me recently that the best way I can get the respect and recognition I deserve is to make an allegation of victimhood – but I just wasn’t sure and so I had a long chat with my good friend and fellow germalist Mark Twats. Mark knows everything there is to know about making false allegations in an attempt at getting temporary fame. – “Sonia”, he told me, “If you’re going to do this then I’d recommend making a complaint to the Metropolitan Police because in my experience they won’t bother doing the most simple background checks and their police officers have absolutely no sense of shame.”

“Really?”, if I’m honest I was shocked but Mark reassured me, “Sonia” he convincingly opined, ” I was party to that terrible and embarrassing police investigation Operation Highland (Operation name has been changed to protect the incompetent) and I can tell you that if the Metropolitan police will give credence to that stinking pile of bullshit, then they’ll believe anything.”

“But didn’t the Met make critical inquiries about the allegations in Operation Highland?”

“No!” Mark adamantly responded “and this is the beauty of it all. The Metropolitan Police will only attempt to ‘prove’ your allegation. Actual detective work has gone out of the window.”

“OK, now that is interesting” I replied “because a former victim of child abuse, Barry Lavalamp has sent me some nasty tweets but the problem is that in the past I’ve been involved in a blog that falsely accused him of being a rapist and the tweets were in response to that.”

“Don’t worry about that.” Mark said. “It doesn’t matter. The Metropolitan Police won’t bother checking! If they couldn’t be bothered to do a background check on my source ‘Mick’, then they won’t be bothered to do a background check on your activities. Think about it Sonia – I’m so famous now that Tom Gaunt takes mycalls.Do this and the ‘Sky’s’ the limit”

I thought about it and then I had a chat with Kay Burley of Sky News -“Kay, you’re a lot younger than me, are more talented, and have better make-up than I have but you understand that women in ‘our’ profession need to fight…” just then my ex toy boyfriend Gangsta ‘gun toting’ Lee Ruin turned the TV over to ‘Judge Judy’ and Kay didn’t have the opportunity to reply – I really wish he wouldn’t do that…

I have no idea who 'Gojam' is except that s/he takes the 'side' of Darren Laverty, an ex-Bryn Estyn resident, against Sonia Poulton, and her allies, including Royden James Jones, James Haydon ,Lee Ryan and others.

Royden James Jones was convicted of a Malicious Communication earlier this year in Mold Crown Court on the evidence of Darren Laverty.

Quite honestly, it would seem better that they are all banished from using the internet for 10 years and then they wouldn't be able to waste so much time.

But I'm monitoring this case because I want to know what why CPS has decided to prosecute in this case, I want to know why it justifies a 5-day trial [see post above] and I want to know why Mark Watts is so involved in this case.

This is one of the reasons why I detest social media - twitter in particular, these obnoxious individuals ruin it for everyone else. Since the twitter feed was featured here on the right, I've read a few here and there - I find it difficult to understand what motivates some people.

Whatever one thinks about the McCanns behaviour and their possible culpability in the disappearane of their child, there is absolutely no excuse for personally abusing or threatening them - and they call this a cesspit ?!?

A self professed quality freelance journalist come social commentator, should know better than to engage with such specimens of humankind.
