Yep, this, like everything Team McCann do, was all choreographed meticulously. They didn't bank on their selected "troll" dying though.

I think one of the reasons that Brunt has vanished is that he realises the McCanns have just used him to this end and now left him to face the music.

GM & KM continually slate the press and successfully sue them and yet the Press still behave like the McCanns little foot soldiers

I can understand the Press are now scared to print negative articles although they could do a questioning factual piece if they had any guts. however to do the McCanns dirty work and hound an obviously decent person and misrepresent who she is on Sky rolling news is so low it's beneath contempt

RM and his son in law Freud have fallen out over Tony Blair to the point that its cost Freud his marriage to RM's daughter yet both sides appear to still be backing the McCanns which does beg the question exactly who is really being protected in all this?

Before the Internet they would have got away with this. People might have doubted them but would have been unable to debate and find out facts.

I think the Establishment need to wake up and realise the days of the cover ups are over. There are people willing to fight for truth and justice and with the Internet they now have the means to be heard.

What we really need in this country is a not for profit independent paper.

VERY interesting observation, Bobbin.

When I first looked at the pic I knew something was wrong and it was to do with the eyes (naturally) but I wasn't sure exactly what.

Both have a something going on with the eyes-the eyes being the windows to one's soul, allegedly.

In Gerry's case his left and right are looking in slightly different directions. It looks as if his eyes are smiling but it feels forced. And on cue.

Kate most certainly has two different expressions (her right eye appears quite sympathetic/maternal and the left seemingly caught in the headlights, hard and unfeeling. Her left eye reveals nothing and keeps up appearances). She might as well be two different people. Hmmm...

Facial assymetries are common in just about all of us, to more or less noticable degrees, but I have never seen anything quite as marked as this. Granted, I know who these people are and the background story so I may be extra-sensitive to it, but nevertheless, it is VERY marked.

We are not used to seeing The McCann's in this face-on, posed type of setting so it is a bit of a shock. I'm sure it's purely genetics and nothing to do with "lying eyes", or anything of that nature. winkwink

Yes they have the means, remember when the riots took place in London a few years back. Some Politicians wanted to block internet then, but they were warned that it would be very unwise to do so.

They have had enough to say about Chinaand other countries and their human rights records, come on, surely they are not that dim that they think they can ever do it?

There are still many politicians who value their right to be heard too and they also want to keep their seats at elections. Turkeys do not vote for Christmas.

Everyone I know, with an IQ in double figures, already knows the McCanns are in it up to their necks. Remember, back in 2007 all the evidence was being shown. Sky news showed a big documentary showing the dogs alerting to all the McCanns' gear. Most people in this country know they are wronguns. You can turn the internet off now and that wont change.

I am sure the pros would try and claim that antis are a minority. In fact I am sure I saw Gerry once claim that it was just a small bunch of people with "sad lives" that were anti. We know that is bull. Most people in this country know that the McCanns did something wrong.

This awful episode has really thrown a spanner into the works for this latest attempt by TM, hasn't it? Oh wouldn't they have loved to spend weeks ripping people apart that don't agree with them - 'trolls' or 'haters' in McCann parlance, yet now someone is dead and even they can see how disgusting that behaviour would be. Interesting that some of their 'trolls' cannot, and keep on posting vitriol.

So, Gezza would like to see an example made of 'trolls', would he? I'd like to see an example made of negligent parents who leave three very young, vulnerable children in an apartment while they go on the piss; I'd like to see an example made of a smug, self-satisfied Sky News presenter who thinks it's OK to hound some poor woman to her death; I'd like to see an example made of the 'clever' journo who gave out a woman's address making her a target. So far, I've seen no such examples made and I'm not holding my breath!

I hope someone who can be bothered reading Twitter is compiling a 'dossier' of the comments by the pro-McCann 'trolls' to hand over to the police. Sauce for the goose, and all that.

No news (as far as I am aware) about the cause and circumstance of Brenda Leyland's death. Perhaps impatience on my part but I will not let this slide into some foggy past tense...a bit of convenient stale news! I want to know the full details of Brenda's last days but I give due respect to her family and friends who are utmost in the quest for answers.

IMO their plan has badly misfired and they can't now stop their critics on twitter.

The forums they don't like but they don't have the traffic or danger for their pr that twitter has.

IMO what has happened with Brenda Leyland has created a game changer situation for various parties in this situation.

Their silence speaks loud.. All of the shouters for the McCanns have suddenly become less vocal.. If I was kind I would say they were shocked and respectful concerning the death of a lady from Rothley who received very descriptive and savage threats from online twitter thugs. IF I was charitable I would say that Brenda was a challenge and an opposing voice that was unacceptable to the supporters of the McCanns.My opinion only.

A missed opportunity, perhaps to call for and end to the extreme trolling going on on behalf of his family, which no decent person, surely, would wish to condone or be seen to be condoning. If so called trolling is wrong, then it's wrong across the board and people of sense would surely ensure they are distanced from such behaviour.

Edited to add: A woman who was the subject of twitter threats, some extreme and sinister has now died in circumstances as yet unexplained. A "no comment" in such circumstances would seem to fall somewhat short.
