Letter of Request rejected?
Hi all, i thought this merited a thread of its own because it was lost amongst the "not major breakthrough" thread
we know that the international Letter of Request was sent by the CPS
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
and according to this post by Jeanmonroe the portugese have rejected it
so what now? how can the Met Police know the names of the owners of the mobile phones in question? (who have probably run to the hills now that Clarence has announced the MET's intent) (a very smart move by Clarence i think to prevent the potential witnesses being interviewed)

Been informed by EU affairs barrister Met Police/CPS need to be precise and identify (name) suspects with their LoR to Portugal AG. #McCann

Re: Letter of Request rejected?
I think you are reading something into the tweet that is not there.
We do know that a second ILOR has been sent, but have no idea of its content. The 'speculated' content seems to be purely CM droplets.
The EU Affairs barrister is stating a fact based on a 'what would be needed' type question to him.

If 3 burglars were using mobile phones, they were most likely stolen phones loaded with Pay as you go, unregistered sim cards. Surely the met would have considered this.

Let's keep to the facts, please.
It's complicated enough as it is ...
