Ian Hislop speaking at the Leveson Inquiry
This is Ian Hislop, editor of Private Eye, speaking at the Leveson Inquiry.
I have no particular views on Ian Hislop and Private Eye. I thought I'd post it up as I find it remarkable. It's about an hour long.

He's from a military establishment family. His organ never criticises the McCanns. I can join the dots.

Re: Ian Hislop speaking at the Leveson Inquiry
Don't slag Hislop off too soon, Okeydokey. The reason he doesn't comment is that he wishes Private Eye to continue publication, and one step out of line and he will be sued to the hilt. Mr Justice Tugendhat would just love that to happen. His reluctance to comment is due to practical/legal/financial survival reasons... nothing to do with being from 'an old military family'... There may come a time when all the stuff he has on this case can be printed in the mag, but who knows for sure which way the wind is blowing right now.

Re: Ian Hislop speaking at the Leveson Inquiry
A lot of subscribers (like me) have written to protest about the absense of McCanniana in Hislop's mag. It just ain't on right now. He is not shy of criticising the powerful, whether from left right or centre, but I guess he would not like to see the mag go under, as in nearly did in the Goldenballs era. (Anyone old enough to remember that edgy extended episode.)

Re: Ian Hislop speaking at the Leveson Inquiry
He has been threatened with imprisonment if he is ever found guilty of Libel again.
So he has to toe the line, until his facts are incontrovertible and he can use the Arkell - v - Pressdram answer
He is aware of a huge amount of stuff in this case, as it has been supplied over many years.
I would guess there is a centre 16 page pull out already in their computer

Isn't each single case individual?
