Madeleine McCann’s parents have vowed to carry on searching for their daughter with “unwavering commitment” as they face their 13th Christmas without her.
In a brief but poignant festive message on the Find Maddie Campaign website they add: "The search for Madeleine goes on with unwavering commitment.”
Kate and Gerry add: “Nothing has changed…we love her, we miss her, we hope as always.”
Heart doctor Gerry and former GP Kate, both 51, are grateful for the continued public support and send thanks to their many well wishers.
The couple from Rothley, Leicestershire, post: "Thank you to all our supporters for your steadfastness and compassion this year again and your warm Christmas wishes. Wishing you a very happy 2020. Kate & Gerry.”

Well wishers have responded with messages of encouragement.
Alison Gribben writes: "We think of you guys and your lovely family often. We think of and pray for Madeleine regularly. Your strength, determination and hope is inspirational. We hope with you and we believe.
Deborah Blagden adds “Never give up. Wishing you a peaceful Christmas with your family."

Three-year-old Maddie vanished from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007 while her parents were dining in a nearby tapas restaurant with pals.
She had been left sleeping alone with her younger twin siblings.
Kate and Gerry are due to attend a Christmas Day service at their local Catholic church where prayers will be said for their daughter.

If still alive she would now be 16. A candle in memory of the abducted youngster burns around the clock beside the village war memorial.
Brave Kate and Gerry try to keep the festive season as fun and normal as possible for the sake of their 14-year-old twins Sean and Amelie.
Kate previously said the occasion is always “tinged with pain and longing” adding: “Madeleine should be here and we should be celebrating with her.
“But we have not lost hope that we may get to celebrate another Christmas with her. “

The McCanns recently revealed a heartbreaking list of what they miss most about their daughter.
"They crave to hold her, hug her and kiss the top of her head and more than anything want to be a family of five again as they urge people across the world: “Please help us get her home.”
Scotland Yard detectives hunting for Maddie have been granted funding until the end of March next year to continue their painstaking search.
So far nearly £12million has been spent on the investigation which has failed to unearth any significant leads.

How many more millions are we going to have to shell out?
I am from a council estate and I don’t know one couple that would leave there children alone to go out drinking disgraceful parenting hang your heads in shame or maybe in a noose
Hope the taxpayers are still not paying for the search she is gone get over it
Stop pretending and admit you killed her/left her to die, and covered it up.
Ah....that must be why they get so much input into their 'search' for Maddie...... If you issue a Christmas Message you must be on a par with the Queen!
there really is a disconnect with these people between the extent to which they 'care' about her now, and the 'care' they showed on the evening of her dissappearance
Dogs dont lie.
She does !
Why didn't they get charged with leaving the children alone and going out drinking, They know what happened that night, and why should the home office fund more public money into looking, lots of children go missing and you don't here of the home off...See more
Well said, anyone else would have been charged with neglect, when my kids were small I wouldn't go in my garden without them being with me. Obviously got some dirt on friends in high places, he looks like an arrogant person , she looks scared to d...See more
middle class parents
And what about the other millions of children that have gone missing in the last 10 years`? Where is their news coverage?
It's because they are scousers and always the victims. This will go on for another 30 years at least !!
What exactly would they say to this unfortunate girl if they did find her ?
We had a nice meal...........
Wondered when these two were going to get news coverage, well it won't wash.
Still the same two smug arrogant faces , they know exactly what happened
Definitely agree.
I agree Tony, they were involved.

Re: Madeleine McCann's parents vow to carry on search with 'unwavering commitment'
It's quite clear to me why the tabloids publish these negative comments (not all negative I hasten to add). It's to bolster the 'troll' epithet applied to McCann critics.and YET AGAIN Comments allowed. Every one of them negative.
Why does Tracey DO THIS ?
Just look at the comments! Aside from criticism about the funding of Operation Grange which anyone in their right might would question, a lot of the comments are spiteful if not borderline vicious - it's not helpful. It's akin to reading a #mccann twitter feed and quite apparent that many of the commenters are woefully ignorant about the case.
Everything coming from team Mccann is done for a reason - this is no exception.

Re: Madeleine McCann's parents vow to carry on search with 'unwavering commitment'
The message, on the official Find Madeleine Facebook page, said "nothing has changed".
The search for Madeleine goes on with unwavering commitment.
Scotland Yard launched an investigation, Operation Grange, into her disappearance in 2013 after a Portuguese inquiry failed to make any headway
So say James Rodger, Mr Head of Trends (?) at BirminghamLive
https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/madeleine-mccanns-parents-poignant-christmas-17473738
1. Factually correct .... nothing has changed. We are still here .
2. What search?
3, Factually incorrect .... the Portuguese police 'investigation' did not fail to make any headway, they were stymied.

LeicestershireLive also on the case (haven't they always been?)..
Kate and Gerry McCann's Christmas message as they say search continues for missing Madeleine
'We love her, we miss her, we hope as always'
The parents of missing Madeleine McCann have released a Christmas message as they insist the search for their daughter continues.
Kate and Gerry McCann have published their statement on the Official Find Madeleine Campaign.
It said: "Christmas 2019. Nothing has changed.....we love her, we miss her, we hope as always.
"The search for Madeleine goes on with unwavering commitment."
Madeleine, from Rothley, disappeared from the family's hotel room on May 3 2007, while in a holiday apartment in Praia de Luz, a resort in the Algarve in Portugal.
Despite an ongoing investigation and more funding assigned to the case, the family are still no closer to finding out what happened to her.
Scotland Yard launched their own investigation, Operation Grange, into her disappearance in 2013, after the Portuguese inquiry failed to make any progress.
In June the Home Office confirmed the investigation would get another £300,000.
Operation Grange has cost more than £11 million since it began in 2013.
Madeleine's disappearance has been a source of a much interest for many people and has sparked books, blogs and most recently a Netflix documentary about the disappearance.
Kate and Gerry McCann chose not to be involved in the documentary after being approached by the production company.
They said at the time: "We did not see - and still do not see - how this programme will help the search for Madeleine and, particularly given there is an active police investigation, it could potentially hinder it.
"Consequently, our views and preferences are not reflected in the programme."

....................
Short and sweet like a donkey's gallop?
For some reason the Netflix production features prominently in some of these latest reports. Mighty strange considering the McCanns proclaimed reluctence to be involved with the film - one could almost think attention is being drawn for a specific reason.
I really must get back to watching it.

"Madeleine McCann’s parents have vowed to carry on searching for their daughter"
Whenever I see this, my blood boils. They, by their own admission have stated that they never physically searched for Madeleine. Shame on you Tracey Kandohla.
