I believe it's true. Will try and post a link from the BBC.

The letter also notes "with sympathy" that Miller has been "the target of a campaign of personal abuse and intimidation in the newspapers most opposed to change". The signatories say: "We hope that you will have the courage to resist such pressures."

No Dowlers? REAL 'victims'!
Not 'Z listers' like McS.
NO 'our' HUGH GRANT, COOGAN or the real BIG WIGS of 'hacked off'?
Where did THEY go?

Victims of press intrusion wrote an open letter to the Culture Secretary, Maria Miller, urging her to press ahead with the implementation of a cross-party Royal Charter along the lines recommended by last year’s Leveson Inquiry into phone hacking.
THAT WOULD ONLY BE PRESS "INTRUSION" UNTIL YOU, THE 'VICTIM', HAVE A BOOK TO PROMOTE, POSTERS AND T-SHIRTS TO SELL, PHOTOSHOOTS OF YOU, TO ATTEND!

Q. What I've been told is that you then intervened personally, Mrs Brooks. You told Number 10 that unless the Prime Minister ordered the review by the Metropolitan Police, the Sun would put the Home Secretary, Theresa May, on the front page every day until the Sun's demands were met. Is that true or not?
A. No.
Q. We can find out in due course whether this is true or not, but I must repeat it to you. It is said that you directly intervened with the Prime Minister and warned him that unless there was a review by the Metropolitan Police, the Sun would put the Home Secretary, Theresa May, on the front page every day until the Sun's demands were met. Is that true or not?
A I don't know who said I said that, but we're going back to sources again.
LORD JUSTICE LEVESON: Could we ask this: were you part of a strategy that involved your paper putting pressure on the government with this sort of implied or express threat?
A. I was certainly part of a strategy to launch the campaign in order to get the review for the McCanns, yes. But I think the word "threat", sir, is -- is too strong.
LORD JUSTICE LEVESON: Well, give me another word then for "threat", could you?
A. Persuade them?
LORD JUSTICE LEVESON: Persuasion. All right.
MCCANNS 'SYMPATHY' FOR MILLER?
NOT MUCH 'SYMPATHY' FROM THE MCCANNS OR BROOKS OF A 'PERSONAL INTIMIDATION CAMPAIGN' OF HOME SECRETARY THERESA MAY!!!

I expect it will be what we were told by the newspapers a couple of weeks ago, that SY are taking over, and lots more money allocated.

Look at the name attached to the announcement story!. I am prepared to be bitterly disappointed but not at all surprised. It will be either nothing new or the run up to the new paint job, SY taking over officially....
Unless of course they have found her alive and well.

You're probably right, although IMO they've been investigating for a while as CPS have been involved for at least 2 1/2 months

Maybe he'll tell us WHY he attended a balloon launch, raising monies for a PRIVATE 'fund', in support of two people that have NOT been CLEARED of possible involvement in a childs 'disappearance'.
OR
Maybe not!

You've got evidence he attended such a balloon launch? Pictorial proof, perhaps?
I think it's important we stick to facts.

The balloons will cost a pound to sponsor and all money will go to the Madeleine appeal fund.
The Chief Constable of Merseyside Police - Bernard Hogan Howe will lead the release of balloons on the highest point of Liverpool inner city on Mossley Hill Field at 1400 BST.
That's all i got!
The BBC don't LIE, do they?

Bracing myself for another round of abject dismay re the abduction facade, and the dubious state of the Metropolitan Police. Any police who use their position to manipulate or cover the truth of an investigation should lose their pension. This is most definitely the way to go! T'would bring about a mass exodus from the McCann case methinks.

I think it will be the official announcement that SY are taking over the case, that is all. The press alluded to this a few weeks ago, but nothing was official.

Joana Morais - No posts and no comments on her blog or twitter when she usually does
GA - no mention of what is happening with court case
Pros - Not as active
CM - Silence
Sightings - None
KM & GM - looking more devastated than 6 years ago
Blacksmith - Prolific when he had been more been quiet on McCanns
It just seems as something is afoot behind the scenes and its not in the McCanns favour

It was reported a few weeks ago that T.May would be making an announcement about SY taking over the case. The thing people must realise is that the whitewash is not just to keep certain people out of prison but also to keep the entire media / government cover-up secure. This case is going to require regular coats of whitewash to stop the truth showing through!

I just saw this on CONTROVERSY fb page but couldn't find the thread - there is one for after announcement only - I actually feel sick. Like, really really nauseous. Where is the announcement being made? I don't have a TV and my Mum is at work.....
