Re: Clarence
The vital thing about the Paraiso 'stuff' is that it takes the Tapas group away from the confines of the pool and apartment for a long time.
Ditto Kate.
Which means that NO ONE in the group except Gerry knows what he was doing during the afternoon.
He tells us he was not playing tennis - Ruptured Achilles Tendon - normal recovery four to six months -
but thanks to the intervention of St Katerine of the Multiple Immaculate Conceptions in his case it was a couple of hours.
So where was he, and what was he doing ?
And why then did he make so much of playing tennis the rest of the afternoon and evening.
Ditto Kate.

Re: Clarence
*eyes widen at the possibilities* Caniving Clarence seems to be on hand earlier than first thought, if I am reading & understanding correctly.
There was a section of the infamous 'book of truth' something bout, K jogging past parisimo (something like that), something like, K wondered whether Madelaine had felt left out being left at creche after Ella (think it was Ella) had been collected early for the rest of the tapas cronies & kids visit to beach/Parisimo. Hmmmm Now what i wondered when i came across this 'group outing excluding Mccans & their offspring' was had the 'accident' happened already, & were the tapas cronies in fact meeting to decide what/whether they were going to support Mcs in the events that were to follow ?? Sorry for the lack of reference given, to be honest I cannot remember exactly where I read it or the exact name of restaurant. Sorry, this post be bordering on incoherant :/

Clarence Mitchell, eh?
Clarence Eden Mitchell, former Head Boy at Friern Barnet School, Finchley.
At first glance you might think him a mere crumpled grey ghost in the corner...
But - no! There's more to Clarence.
He's got a foxy-looking blonde lady in a raincoat beside him.
He's giving that young, dark-haired journalist fellow a most sardonic look.
He's got the biggest shadow of anyone in that room.
I bet nobody dares peek under that table...

It is possible to purport a theory that he was certainly somewhere else, with the tennis bag ,the one on the shelf, diligently photographed by the PJ and then "whooshed" by Mitchell.unchained melody wrote:PeterMac wrote:The vital thing about the Paraiso 'stuff' is that it takes the Tapas group away from the confines of the pool and apartment for a long time.

Aha. So THIS is what the head of a Media Monitoring Unit does.
He stands there ... Monitoring the Media.
Hmm. I bet he was a Milk Monitor when he was in Primary school.
And if he was a lizard, he'd probably be a Monitor Lizard.
As for Kate and Gerry, poor Gerry is suffering from that itchy leg he always seems to get during interviews. It takes two of them to scratch the hell out of it under the table.
Unless Kate is doing some Monitoring of her own!

Also said, if people thought maddie was dead, then k&g would say, prove it!
And much more, strange man IMO

What a revolting specimen Mitchell is. Trying to make out that Brighton is "his" town. I doubt he's spent more than a few hours here since being made PPC for Kemptown.

Labour slates ‘white, 50-plus male Tories’ fighting general election seats in Brighton and Hove
Sunday 3rd August 2014
LABOUR has hit out at the selection of three “white, fifty-something males” as Conservative candidates to contest Parliamentary seats in Brighton and Hove next May.
Former police chief and current Brighton and Hove city councillor Graham Cox was selected by the Conservatives as their candidate for Hove on Wednesday night, joining counterpart Clarence Mitchell for Brighton Pavilion along with [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] defending his Brighton Kemptown seat.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], the Labour and Co-operative leader on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], said: “The selection of three straight, white, fifty-something males as Tory parliamentary candidates in the city contrasts with Labour’s choice of Purna Sen, Nancy Platts and Peter Kyle, who will better represent our diverse and modern city in the House of Commons.”
Coun[cillor] Cox said: “I was a little bit disappointed at Labour’s response but that’s politics.”
He said Labour did not undertand that diversity was not just about gender, race and sexuality but also about class.
“We increasingly hear from working class residents who no longer feel represented in Brighton and Hove,” he said.

I'm sure there are a fair few gays who represent "straight" constituents so can't see the big deal being made by the Labour man.
People should be chosen on merit imo and nothing else.

Re: Clarence
Conservative Party Conference starts tomorrow, general election in a few months. We're going to see much more of him, unfortunately. Surely he'll need to sever his ties with the Mcs if he's serious about becoming an MP (not that I believe he'll be elected in Brighton Pavilion).

The Brighton & Hove branch of The Darby & Joan Club have chosen their victims to perform YMCA at the Gay Pride field-day next Wednesday.
Rehearsals to begin after they've picked up the camel dung. (Clarrie wanted to be the Policeman but Redwood talked him out of it).
Was there a pimple-faced, smelly abductor in the Village People? If there was, Pinky can be him.

Re: Clarence
It's funny that reading on the Clarence4pavilion web site, in the 'About Clarence' section there's not a word regarding his last 7 years employment, obviously he doesn't consider it a votewinner!!Ladyinred wrote:Conservative Party Conference starts tomorrow, general election in a few months. We're going to see much more of him, unfortunately. Surely he'll need to sever his ties with the Mcs if he's serious about becoming an MP (not that I believe he'll be elected in Brighton Pavilion).
Clarence Mitchell is the Conservative Prospective Parliamentary Candidate for Brighton Pavilion. Prior to his selection by Brighton & Hove Conservative Association, he has had a varied and wide-ranging career across the media, government and the private sector.
Being selected as the prospective Member of Parliament for such a great city as Brighton is an immense honour and to repay that trust, Clarence will – between now and the 2015 General Election - meet as many people in the Pavilion constituency as possible to hear and discuss their concerns first-hand and to promote policies which will restore Brighton as the unique, vibrant, proud and economically prosperous city it can be once again.
Upon selection, he got stuck in immediately by working - literally - to clean up Brighton beach when he joined members of the public and councillors from across the political divide to take part in the Argus Big Beach Clean Up. He then marched with thousands through the heart of the constituency taking part in Brighton Pride, the city’s major LGBT event of the year, celebrating with a Conservative team their own special reason to be proud in 2013; the successful Tory promotion and passage into law of equal marriage.
As a trustee of [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.], the national charity that helps to tackle problem alcohol and drug use, he also brings special insight and awareness of some of the city's most important social issues to his campaign.
Clarence continues to become a well known figure in Brighton, attending many events including a Q&A session at Sussex University and an engagement at a charitable art exhibition, while fulfilling a busy media schedule with appearances in local, regional and national media.
His aim is simple: to work tirelessly to make Brighton a better place once again for all those who live and work in the city and for those visitors who remain the lifeblood of its economy.
“I’m hugely honoured to have been selected to fight to represent the people of Brighton Pavilion in Parliament. Brighton is unique: a wonderful, diverse, tolerant and hugely creative city that after suffering from years of failed Green policies, both locally and nationally, can fulfil its enormous cultural and economic potential once again with the strong and effective voice that it needs in Parliament. Between now and the next General Election I will spend my time seeking out the views and concerns of residents and businesses alike, establishing exactly what they really want from their next MP.” - Clarence Mitchell

Telling the public that the newly set up PI company, Red Defence or Oakley International, were the big boys of private investigation when they had no experience in finding missing children.
Asking the public to donate to the search for Madeleine which he claimed was being carried out by a team of crack detectives from a company called Alpha Group Investigations, allegedly employed by the McCanns, when the company did not even exist, but in reality this was one man band, Arthur Cowleys' Alphaig Limited, which was set up by Brian Kennedys' team purely for the McCanns, and working on a budget of £800
That just for starters - so no, he is not getting away with it.
