I’m Kate McCann’s worst nightmare by Kerry Needham
I’m Kate McCann’s worst nightmare. She’s had 6 years of hell. I’ve had 22. It must have been hard meeting me

Oh Kerry - if only you knew as much as we do here about the McCanns!

Both cases the Police have failed to find abductors or evidence of them.
Both cases it has been said Police have suggested there may have been an accident involving the child.
Both cases remain unsolved.
I am not saying there is foul play in either by relatives/parents. But it does show just how hard it is to get to the bottom of these things.

I also do not think there is enough evidence to say that Ben Needham was abducted by strangers. Whilst the behaviour of his family has not been as blatantly suspicious as that of others who spring to mind, they cannot be ruled out.
It is strange how some cases get vast publicity and others don't. For once I'm not thinking of the McCanns as they are in a category all of their own.
The one I'm thinking of is Katrice Lee, a British girl from an army family who disappeared from a supermarket in Germany on her 2nd birthday in 1981. Compared to her case, that of Ben was well-publicised. I don't recall hearing anything about her at the time she went missing, only in a programme made years after the event.

Yes it is a case that has intrigued me.No Fate Worse Than De'Ath wrote:

Here is a fairly recent interview with Katrice Lees' mother, apparently the case is being re-opened.
ETA Coincidently Katrice had an eye defect too ... sniffer dogs and pyjamas mentioned too ....
I just want to know what happened to my Katrice
When Sharon Lee’s daughter vanished from an army base, she expected help and sympathy – not to feel that she was at fault. Thirty years on, the Military Police has finally apologised and is to reopen the case.

Re: I’m Kate McCann’s worst nightmare by Kerry Needham
I pre-ordered Kerry Needham's book. I've just begun reading it (I'm still on chapter 1 as I am also reading a heck of a lot of other books at the moment).
I have to say that the writing style so far is 'schmultzy'. It's a hardback book and the coverlet introduction is disappointing ghost writing stuff.
This is the inside of the coverlet.
'It's amazing how some people can light up a room just by stepping into it. Ben was twenty-one months old and full of smiles. He spread happiness simply by being there'.

Re: I’m Kate McCann’s worst nightmare by Kerry Needham
A reminder of when Katrice Lee's mother and sister appeared on TV with a certain gruesome-hand-holding-lying-through-their-teeth-twosome.

It's part two of the This Morning interview; fortunately the McCanns keep quiet until close to the end.
Aquila, I'm disappointed at the sound of Kerry Needham's book.
I wonder what memories most people would still retain after 22 years of a child who was with them for only 21 months.

Continue to feel disappointed. So far it is all about Kerry Needham.
