Thanks, not seen this one before. Pity likes of Lorraine Kelly appears to studiously avoid reading any kind of factual summary on this case for even she would have the wit to realise the story as revealed by the group themselves is very far from stacking up in favour of T9 non involvment.

Ah so now we have a date for the libel trial McCanns v Goncalo Amaral.

The UK press as is the norm describe Goncalo Amaral as a disgraced ex detective who will face a libel trial.

Date of his artical 26 Aug, he doesn't give the trial date like the Star did.

When the mother of a missing child does not question the statement made by her BEST friend Fiona Payne one of the holiday party who said in her police witness statement that Kate McCann left the patio door unlocked so that Madeleine could exit and go out in the night and search for her parents - then alarm bells ring.

I've never seen this before. Considering that Fiona is supposed to be her best friend, also considering the remark about resuscitation by Rachel it seems very clear that the T7 were in the dark about the real events, co-opted to shore up and some told a different lie.

This is very interesting - imo within hours the cover-up of a botched faked abduction began and within a very short time, days I would think, the T7 realised they had no way out, still don't if you ask me.

If the Portuguese investigation had continued I'm sure that the T7 would have come clean. It was a clever move to have it appear that 'they were all in it together' except that the T7 didn't know exactly what it was. I'm basing this on the assumption that no sane person would willingly stay silent when their reputation and career are at stake. The T7 too were told to shut up. Compared to Murat and the McCanns they got a risible compensation from the press which allegedly went to the Ltd.

From Fiona`s statement about Kate persistently checking the twins` breathing, IMO she was suspicious of Kate in saying it was weird behaviour. That doesn`t sound like a good friend covering up.

No, I think that the statements made 'memory for the future' the videos which are saved and are valid in a court of law in Portugal may contain more of these revelations. These statements were made in June?July?
