Clarence Mitchell has been appointed to head Burson-Marsteller’s Public Affairs practice
Clarence Mitchell appointed as Burson-Marsteller’s new Public Affairs Practice Chair
by Annabel Jaram on 30th April 2012 • News
London, 30 April, 2012 -
Clarence Mitchell has been appointed to head Burson-Marsteller’s Public Affairs practice following the departure of George Hutchinson. Mitchell has been working at B-M as a Managing Director since September 2011 providing strategic counsel to corporate and public affairs clients.
Clarence Mitchell joined Burson-Marsteller from Lewis PR where he was Director of Media Strategy and Public Affairs, offering clients strategic counsel across the issues and crisis management and public affairs practices, a role he combined with his ongoing duties as official media spokesman for Kate and Gerry McCann. Previously, he was a consultant with Freud Communications.
Prior to that, he was Director of the UK Government’s Media Monitoring Unit leading a team that advised No 10 and all of the major Departments of State on how best to respond to the daily news agenda. Before moving into Government Comms and PR, he was an on-air News Correspondent and Presenter with BBC News.
Commenting on the appointment, B-M UK CEO Matt Carter said:
“With his strong background in politics, government and the media, Clarence has already impressed both clients and colleagues alike, and he will make a great practice leader. Our PA team has had a fantastic start to 2012 and Clarence has the skills to take this to the next level.”
Commenting on his new role within Burson-Marsteller, Clarence said:
“I am absolutely delighted to take up this opportunity. Having worked with B-M’s public affairs team I know they are a fantastically talented group of people. It’s a great time to be working in public affairs and developing the practice into one of the most vibrant and distinctive in the industry is a challenge I absolutely relish

His CV must be a tome.
I forgot, he probably doesn't need a CV. I'd love to see it anyway. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

He had a steady and cushy job at N0. 10 until the mccanns came along, and now that he's cursed by the mccanns he's suddenly become a rolling stone.

The McCann affair has benefitted many: the media, the newspapers, publishers, SY and nr. 10 in getting rid of Clarrie without severance pay.

How do we know the mccanns have not paid him compensation over and above his severance pay?
He must be paid rather well considering the mccanns are his first priority and every new job he took on is secondary to that.
Note the bolded bits - he's still on mccanns pay roll.
Why would the mccanns still need a spokesperson five years down the line is the pertinent question?
No wonder they constantly begged for the Fund when PR and lawyers are their ingoing expenditure.

He can change jobs and join as many charities as he likes but when his day of reckoning comes, he won't escape what he's due.

They were photographed and the photo handed to a press agency, who released it on 8 May, as the search for Madeleine continued. The McCanns held up these same pyjamas at two press conferences on 5 & 7June 2007. How could Madeleine have been abducted?"

Brilliant! BUT I am not on twitter.
I bet he will need welcome those questions like bullets in his head.
One question for him in case people take it up.
Why are your clients, the Mccanns, not searching for Maddie during the Review - do they not think Maddie can be found during the longevity of the Review?

Government insider says he knows what happened to Madeleine.
I didn't know where to post this info but when it comes to any doubts about Madeleine McCann any reference to Clarence Mitchell meets the criterion.
This morning I came across an interesting interview from Bristol Community Radio, who last week interviewed former government insider Barrister Michael Shrimpton, author of the book Spyhunter and a former judge with links to the intelligence community. As well as references to Jimmy Saville and Ted Heath, about half way through the eighteen-minute segment Michael mentions the fate of Madeleine McCann. I cannot tell if this is his opinion or a fact, though he expresses it as fact. It involves security services, high-level paedophilia and murder. The mention of Madeleine is brief but the whole interview is interesting.
I came across the interview while checking out politics and economics on David Icke's website, so thanks to David for that, who uploaded the audio onto You Tube:

Ye Gods, Barrister Michael Shrimpton has no qualms about speaking on national radio saying that Madeleine McCann was abused by a senior politician then murdered. In fact, years ago he said the same thing in some report and it's apparent that the McCanns haven't sued him for "harming the search".
Also he says that Saville took children from Haut de la Garenne on a "death ride" to Edward Heath's yacht where they were abused by Heath then thrown into the sea.
He also says that David Kelly, Robin Cook, Princess Diana were murdered/assassinated.
If he's not careful he will also be assassinated by the same people who silence others.
Let's hope the McCanns stick to libel courts to silence their targets and don't hire hitmen. It's not as if they haven't got contacts who could supply them.

He didn't once though use the word 'abducted' re Madeleine. He just said that she was being sexually abused by a senior political figure then murdered in December 2008 because she would have been able to identify her abuser. so how did she get into the hands of this senior political figure?

I think that radio interview may be a fake for a few reasons. One being that the chap speaking on it sounds different to the Michael Shrimpton you can see and hear here

To me the claims are absolute nonsense.
In my opinion, the McCanns only take action against the people whose comments are too near the truth, so Mr Shrimpton has no cause for concern.

It's the same with Stephen Birch, he claims Madeleine is dead and buried under Murat's driveway. Why no action against him? Why when asked did KM just shrug and say who's he, or words to that affect. I didn't see her say he was harming the search for Madeleine...
