I have long suspected something with comare.

Of course I have absolutely no evidence to support this, just a hunch. But it undoubtedly gave them access to ministers, remember the wallet and Downing Street.

If a conclusion came out that the abductors are out their, probably caring for like a princess I would imagine the Government and believers would be quite happy with the result, The lack of being able to track the perpetrators, the blame can easily be shifted towards the PJ. Then job done really, then the McBegging bowl can come out and at least 70% are happy.

Successive Governments do cover up for each other. Look at Dr Ruth Kelly, I don't think I know a single person who believes the verdict, yet it remains safely unchallenged.

Still we can live in hope the truth will come out.

Very interesting insight on the British side. I can tell you that in Portugal I don't know one single people (and I've been questioning a lot of people about it) that believes the Mccanns. Most of them say they don't have a theory on what happened but that they know the parents are guilty at least of leaving the children alone. No one leaves such small children sleeping unattended in a room , and surely NOT alone in the house. That's what baby monitors are for. The Mcs tried to fed the public from day one that "it was like dining in your back garden" and "it's responsible parenting" "people told us they do the same".
I have some ExPats answer for them:

"My advice to any British tourist ,please come to Portugal,please come to the Algarve but if you're coming as a family holiday treat it as a family holiday and do things together, don't leave the kids"

I'm not sure what you mean by "believes the McCanns" but the chap in the video with the stripy polo shirt appears to believe she was abducted when he talks about a crazy man. (I'm assuming that he isn't referring to Gerry)

Good morning AndyB and welcome to the forum. I share the same view with regards to the chap in the stripey polo shirt.

Over the last 6 years on the internet (where else are we allowed some form of free speech nowadays?) with regards to the McCanns there has developed that you are either 'pro' or 'anti' McCann.

Well I'm PRO MADELEINE as are most people on this forum and if that means questioning the obvious inconsistencies and garbage spouted by Team McCann I'm keen to do that along with all the other people who contribute to finding justice for Madeleine.

To get to the truth of the matter needs a reconstruction and a thorough investigation of the entire T9 and those who have protected them since her disappearance. It doesn't take an intellectual (I'm certainly not one) to see the 'bleeding obvious'. So what's missing is an investigation that either excludes T9 or brings someone to book.

Just my opinion.

Yes I wasn't happy with the word 'believes' at the time I wrote it. Maybe more accurately would be 'they just accept or cannot be bothered to question them'.

Remember after 6 years unless they choose to pick up a computer and search the subject, all they are fed is 'this is what happened, THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED OK'.

They have totally manipulated the press into only printing stories in support of their version. After a time that does have an effect on people.

I am rather embarrassed to what this may have done to Portugal, the way people feel about us and the beautiful PDL resort.

Yes that's what I meant when I said "believe the Mccanns ". But people should think and ask not just believe what the press tells them. And the press may have been manipulated but if questions arise they should ask, not just agree with pre planned interviews where difficult questions cannot be asked.

Id split them AND PARENTS all right up in any interviews even in different buildings as SOME answers will STILL be within group THAT CAN HELP in my opinion for what its worth. have to admit havent read all files but got gist of things and sticking to two opinion ive FORMED now until any new evidence turns up, that 1 somehow maddy ran out of apartment when her dad or his friend david payne left gate bit open perhaps as she had ran off down side streets of appartments earlier that week before bed one night apparently AS reported by locals for half an hour.! Someone could have got really angry stressed with this again causing problems at bedtime and some kind of accident/incident occurred which was covered up ! I cant get my head around any other logical explanation or 2 there really was time for an abduction unless it was A massive pre planned event by lot of people to make money which seems to HORIFIC unbelievable to my radar anyway.Hopefully answers soon from SY WHO HAVE BEEN HELPED BY ALL GROUP NOW and 4.5million. wont have been AND SEEM wasted !

Where does it state she ran outof the apartment on a previous night. In that's true, in that scenario, could she have trying to climb past the gate and fell into the flowerbed below?. Still doesn't explain why such a tragic accident would be covered up as apposed to just calling the emergency services but still....

There could have been an innocent explanation (I'm wearing pink today!) - maybe she was playing; my son liked to run and hide.

However, it's strange that, if this did happen earlier and Madeleine was then found to be missing on the Thursday, the immediate thought was not that she might be hiding again but that some paedo stranger had taken her.

Children do play hide and seek but this is about a full half hour.

If she was refusing to go to bed she'd probably go further and jump around playing etc. But what she did was stay still, hide, in a bush for HALF AN HOUR. As if afraid.
