I would love to be able to do extreme closeups on their hands as they're speaking - specifically Gerry holding Kate's hand - just to see if there are any subtle "signal" gestures going on between them.

I think the photos taken of Gerry and Kate on the night of and early morning following Madeleine's disappearance are fairly honest. Kate looks devastated and exhausted. I think that much is genuine.

I often watch the duper's delight videos and slow them down, aghast at how they must be the only people on the planet to get away with this BS. If experts haven't spotted their tells by this stage they should be fired.

The Paxman interview is ripe for analysis too.

I think, she looks scared. And defensive. All IMO as she did many times later on up until Rothley and Pinky speaking for them ... BUT, in between in PdL after some time, she was a happy get going ... Significant, IMO.

I agree, Chatelaine. In that early video where Gerry puts his head on her shoulder, where's she's appealing to the alleged 'abductor' she looks to my eyes emotionally dissociated, distant and almost resigned ...like a powerless, abused wife (I speak from experience - watching Gerry in this video many years down the line from my own experience made my skin crawl in a very powerful way). There's an article somewhere on the internet that analyses this video where someone has slowed down the audio just at that point where Gerry drops his head on her shoulder and looks directly up at her. It sounds like he's saying 'Don't talk'. And as he makes this ostensibly empathetic gesture she remains rigid when, if they were a genuine loving couple going through hell, you'd expect her to move her head towards his to accept the 'comfort' he was supposedly offering.

Do we detect the same over-eargerness to demonstrate how perfect everything was, and how caring and loving St Katherine was (before she abandoned them all to their fate, obviously)

And let us recall that Madeleine had been so exhasted by her afternoon of finger-paining that she could not even walk ~~the length of the garden~~, from the tapas back to the apartment and had to be carried. But now she is wide awake and having lots more to eat and drink and endless stories, and then is suddenly comatose again.

Telling that they were " in no doubt that all three would be asleep in an instant." !!! Camomile tea ?

If that was true, then her DNA would have been all over it. She'd have drooled on it as an infant.

And yet...Cuddle Cat was never given to the police as a source of Madeleine's DNA. Not even to check it to see if it contained her DNA.
