Missing Madeleine puts Leh in a tizzy

Leh, July 23

High drama prevailed in the busy Fort Road market of the city last night when three persons identified a six-year-old girl as Madeleine McCann, a British girl who went missing while on a holiday in Portugal in 2007.
The infamous case had hogged limelight when Madeleine disappeared in May 2007 while she was holidaying with her parents and siblings in the Algarve region of Portugal. The minor girl went missing from an apartment a few days before her fourth birthday and has still not been found. According to the Wikipedia and various web portals, Madeline’s parents Kate and Gerry McCann had stated that they had left the children unsupervised in the ground floor bedroom while they were at a restaurant about 120 metres away.
Last night, a British woman saw a French woman with her Belgian husband roaming in the market with a girl who looked like Madeleine. She immediately informed the British police and the Leh police. The local police has taken the passports of the suspects for verification.
The missing girl’s parents have set up a website where they have put up her pictures that were taken in 2007 and also pictures of how she would look like as she would grow up.
As the British woman shared her suspicions with few others and took a picture of the girl, an American youth -- who was also following the couple -- tried to take away the girl from them. He later told the police that he suspected the girl to be Madeleine. Another American woman also shared the suspicion.
The French woman, however, rubbished their claims, saying that she and her husband were the biological parents of the girl.
A local police official said there was worldwide alert for Madeleine and it would be a great honour for the Leh police to find the missing girl. “However, it all depends upon the evidence like DNA for which help from Madeleine’s parents and the British police was required.”

Oh, I fogot, never of course they are the greatest ~~sociopaths~~ uuuuuhh victims of all.

I hope these parents sue the pants of all involved, and yes that includes the McCanns.

Imagine having your young daughter being photographed and almost snatched by a couple of (no doubt slightly intoxicated) foreigners.

They would not get away unharmed if it happened to my daughter and me!!

This is another farcical article designed to manipulate public perception of the case.

Why is this bogus sighting not reported in the Sun or other Murdoch owned papers? Have the rows over the hacking scandal forced Clarrie and the McCann team to find an alternative outlet for these tales, and if so why? Murdoch behaving himself? Clarrie keeping a low profile? A fall out between Murdoch and the British government?

This could be good news for the truthseekers if the McCann team were now unable to use the press as they were.
Maybe, it is time for the worm to turn, if Murdoch retaliates maybe they'll just print the truth - wishful thinking? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

One has to wonder who put the spin on this story! It is so far fetched - 6 year old maddie! She would not be six today. She would be eight. Do they really think we don't know how to count that high?

If there is any truth to this story at all - I hope the parents of that poor little girl take legal action against all involved.

COMMENT: A couple peacefully on holiday in India, then: WHOOSH - cops come and arrest you and take yuor passports away - even talk of submitting the couple and the child to DNA tests.

There was the Croatian national team footballer whose SON was nearly taken off him by someone who mistook the 2-year-old toddler for Madeleine.

Then there was the case of the dozens of Canadians who rang a TV station because they thought they'd seen Madeleine in a school choir. This came just days after the McCanns appeared on Oprah Winfrey displaying their 'age-progressed image of Madeleine.

This recent episode in India reveals a little bit of the HARM done by the McCanns.

The public rubbishing of the skills of cadaver dogs, for example.

The waste of police resources following up thousands of false 'sightings'.

What other harm has this couple caused to others?

If we can find out their names and where they live, I'll send them a few leaflets if they make it back to Belgium.

PRIVATE investigators are looking into reports that missing Rothley girl Madeleine McCann has been found in India.

A girl fitting the description of Maddie was spotted in a market in the city of Leh in northern India last weekend, both by a Brit and two Americans.

Police were called after the tourists tried to take the girl away from the couple she was with, a Belgian man and a French woman, who say they are the child’s parents.

If the police in Leh say they have no knowledge of this latest sighting I wonder if it would be possible to find out who planted this information. If it was a newspaper who released this story would they reveal their source after being left with egg on their face? It would be interesting to see who it was who delivered this latest load of bollox and what connections they have with the case.

Or have TM control of the Indian media too?

Yes, it would be very interesting to see where these stories came from. Someone should now do some digging and find this info out.

I sent this of to the paper concerned, you can only ask.

Dear Tribune,
I would like to ask how your newspaper sourced the story that Madeleine McCann was seen in Leh, detained and had DNA swabs taken.
The local police in Leh have denied all knowledge and have no such girl in custody.
So it seems that the story was false and you have been left with egg on your face. You are not the first media agency to suffer this indignity in regard to the McCanns.
I would like to know the name of the person who sold you this story. It would be interesting if your source led us to the McCann parents.
Parents who look more guilty as to the death of their daughter as the days roll on.
Or was it a piece of fiction your paper made up to increase sales. I doubt this senario.
I hope you can be of assistance and your help might go a long way to solving this mystery. Something your paper could be proud of.
