p. 128 "We ate mostly in silence, concentrating on the kids. I couldn't eat much, and alcohol was completely off my agenda. Fiona recalls that Gerry and I were completely shut down that day, barely able to talk, and although our friends tried to remain cheerful and behave normally to get us through it, they all felt awkward about being at this lovely villa, in the sunshine, in these circumstances. There was no cake. Gerry did attempt a toast but he was visibly upset and couldn't manage much more than "I can't even say happy birthday to my daughter...' before choking up. The physical loss was more intense then ever. I ached for Madeleine. "

I'm not sure if it's just me but there isn't a photo to accompany PeterMac's last posting. It obviously should be one of those taken on 12th May 2007 showing the McCanns looking as if they were celebrating their daughter's safe return rather than not having a clue as to what might have, or still be, happening to her. Kate forgets that, in her attempt to rewrite history and to portray herself and Gerry as if they behaved as anyone else would do in that situation, there is evidence that proves that her book is sheer fiction.

P.S. The picture is now there!!

Kate McCann has told how her twins give her the strength to fight on and try to find missing Madeleine.

Four years after her daughter was abducted in the Algarve at the age of three, Kate has revealed a poignant conversation with Sean and Amelie, now six.

“Sean said to me recently, ‘When you’re old me and Amelie will look for Madeleine,” said Kate.

“I was chatting to Amelie and she said, ‘Mummy’s sad because Madeleine is not here. But Amelie is here, and Amelie and Sean will always be here.’ ”

Kate, speaking before her book Madeleine is published to raise funds to help the hunt for her daughter, said she worried she wouldn’t be able to cope with not knowing what had happened to her.

"On board an Easyjet plane", that must have been a comedown for the McCanns' after being cosseted in private jets.

One interesting thing i how come they didn't have to go through "check in" they were suspects in their daughters death for heavens sake?

They are friends of Prime Ministers.

And Leicester Police help these prime suspects with their ~~money laundering~~ fundraising by advertising their fund on the police website yes

Kate and Gerry McCann do not think that it is Madeleine in the picture from the car show in Sweden.

- "We've looked at the picture and even though she bears a certain resemblance to Madeleine we do not believe that it is her. She looks too old and her eye does not have the visible mark that Madeleine's eye does," said Clarence Mitchell, spokesperson for Kate and Gerry McCann.

The Sun today published a picture of a girl taken at a car show in Sweden, which is said to be the police's hottest track in the hunt for Madeleine.

The information has also been widely reported across other Swedish media.

But when the Express asked for a comment from the McCann family, spokesman Clarence Mitchell said:

- "We do not believe that it is Madeleine in the picture."

The Swedish girls eyes are nothing like Madeleine's. The distance between the top of the eye lid and the eyebrow are miles apart. How ridiculous.

The writing on the note looks similar to Kate's from what I remember of it in the home video supposedly taken in December 2006 but, judging by the ages of the children, it was the previous year.
