THE family of missing English girl Madeleine McCann are aiming to reach 80 per cent of the world's inboxes in two weeks with a viral email and photo reminding people of her disappearance.
The picture shows the distinctive imperfection in her right eye which her parents hope could be the vital clue to her discovery.
Madeleine, aged four at the time, went missing four years ago next month while the family were holidaying in Praia da Luz in Portugal.
Her aunt Phil McCann said: ''I am asking everyone I know to send this as a chain letter as the story is only being covered in Britain, Eire and Portugal. We don't believe she is in Portugal any more.'' Another aunt, Diane McCann, said: ''The purpose of this is to highlight the distinction in Madeleine's eye where the pupil runs into the blue-green iris.'' She said Madeleine's hair could be cut or dyed.
Maddie disappeared from her bed as her parents Gerry and Kate dined in their holiday complex.
Publication of a book about their daughter's disappearance has been delayed to avoid clashing with the royal wedding on April 29.
All proceeds from the book will go to the McCanns' official search fund.

This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever, why not speed up the publication of the book so that it comes out before the royal wedding? Why would they want Madeleine to wait longer to be found? She's already waited nearly 4 years so far and must have run out of tuppence-worths to give the friendly paedophile who is treating her like a princess with the love and respect she deserves.

Err I think she should have a chat with Dave Edgar, he seems to be of the opinion she is.

Sounds to me like the book is just not selling, the price has already dropped from £20.00 to £12.40
You may have not noticed, but last week £12.40 was the selling price of a paperback, this week it is the price of a hardback.
it must be a desperate situation if they have to advertise by way of chain mail

Maybe we should ask Dave Edgar to comment on this, but there is one big problem - how do we get in touch with him?
They claim to be Alpha Group Investigations, which in reality seems to be some sort of big international firm - actually they are, Alphaig Ltd. A one man band from Halkyn, Flintshire.
Two questions arise: -
How would anyone go about hiring Dave Edgar or his company, given that there is no website, or online contact details?
If we had any information on Madeleine how could we get it to him?

But stating they believe that is the case , People will not bother to look out for her, Is that not hindering the search for Maddie?
There is 'no evidence to suggest she is not in Portugal'

Obviously, sharon, he's plodding around the lawless hills of PDL searching for the secret lair where Maddie is being held.
He's going to be right miffed when he learns that Aunty Phil doesn't believe she's there anymore.

Her aunt Phil McCann said: ''I am asking everyone I know to send this as a chain letter as the story is only being covered in Britain, Eire and Portugal. We don't believe she is in Portugal any more.''
Who is "We" ? Or indeed who are "We"?
Aunt Philomena and her husband, or the whole family, including GM and KM. Or everyone concerned with the case, including Edgar, Mitchell, Rowlings, the parish priest, the Angolan Bouncer, Uncle Tom Cobblers (sorry, Cobbleigh)....
Yet again, the press are given a golden opportunity to ask simple follow up questions, but fail lamentably to do so.
- Why do you not believe M is in Portugal ?
-- What evidence to do you have for that belief ?
- Since it is clear that you have not been out to Portugal scouring the 'lawless hinterland' within the 10 mile radius so beloved of Edgar, on what possible basis do you make that remark. - And incidentally where do you, either individually or collectively, now believe she is ?
- And what evidence do you have for that belief ?
Why doesn't someone ASK when they have the chance ?

Re: Maddie search hits inboxes
If they say they don't think she is in Portugal anymore, that makes me think that is exactly where she is.

Should imagine there are loads of cadavers around the Church so it would be pointless.

I wonder if the dogs can tell the difference between fresh and old cadavers?

Re: Maddie search hits inboxes
In the south of Europe bodies are placed in niches in a wall in a cemetery, usually within 24 hours of the death, and a funeral mass is said some time later, when all the family can attend. The cemetery can be some distance outside the town. So it is unlikely that there would be bodies anywhere near the church in PdL.
But then it was unlikely that there would be bodies in an apartment, or in the back of a car, but that is what the dogs marked.

An" distinctive imperfection" is that right, Then WHY is gerry mccann now saying it was just a fleck that you can hardly
see, WHY ARE THEY GETTING AWAY WITH THIS.

With the incredible worldwide attention given to the case, the fact that no substantial leads have emerged since Maddie disappeared speaks volumes. A point of clarification: Actually, there were substantial leads, all leading to gerry and kate
